I never miscue a record. I am punctual, well-prepared, and dislike clutter. Outgoing and helpful, I'm always appropriately dressed. I do not behave erratically and have excellent penmanship. My CD's never skip, and I am in good health. I like all the notes, in any order.

![]() I know that cat! Sleeps at the foot of my bed. How no idea there was a recording contract in her life. Hiya, Bryce. |
![]() |
![]() Why you call Moonlight Serenade dots? Because of giant cat later? Bryce Show featuring Bryce is funny. |
![]() |
![]() Sounds purr-fectly wonderful. |
![]() |
![]() What's that I hear? The sound of people banging the sides of their radios all across the metro area |
![]() |
![]() Sounded like 10, but OK |
![]() |
![]() this is what it's like everynight before i fall asleep, with my cat on my chest and her face about 1mm away from mine |
![]() |
![]() the giant cat will devour us all! |

![]() My dog is barking |
![]() |
![]() Turning this up loud. I wonder what the neighbours are thinking. |

Does sound like a purring cat

![]() Hi Bryce and everyone. |
![]() |
![]() i wish i could be at home playing this for my cats - i think they would be confused where the gigantic cat is |
![]() |
![]() nice 'carnival of souls' vibe in this bit |
![]() |
![]() im at home and my kitties are unphased. but they only ever seem to react (look around wide eyed with a "what the fuck is that' look) to squeally high pitched sounds. |
![]() |
![]() and hello. |
Fri. 7/25/14 12:24pm
Ken of Brooklyn:
Helloooo Bryce, LOVING Terry Fox!!!!
![]() |
![]() well one side of a cassette is usually 30-45 mins so this could be nearly over |
![]() |
![]() apologies to terry fox... |

Ken of Brooklyn:
Perfect start with all my favs!!!!
![]() |
![]() Nice to be at home so I can really crank this. |
![]() |
![]() Well, here's some squeally high pitched sounds to wake up your cats, Steve. Loving this, by the way. As you can see I still haven't made it to the supermarket. |

![]() My wife just came in from the market, walked in my office, heard this playing, and demonstrated zero regard for what I was listening to. She knows me so well |
![]() |
![]() i think i just found my resonant frequency |
![]() |
![]() I'm having a moment similar to when you play Eloy. Floored. |
![]() |
![]() I can commiserate with Stau. My wife is extremely predictable in her reactions to anything less than "normal" (her version of normal of course) |
![]() |
![]() my mind is oscillating between this and the sound of my running refrigerator. |
Fri. 7/25/14 12:49pm
Phillip (Brooklyn):
Why does the name Nikola Tesla come to mind when I hear this sound???
![]() |
![]() don't listen on headphones, btw. on speakers (intendedto be played over 4 in an installation), frequencies collide & cancel each other out, with the slightest movement of your head.... |
![]() |
![]() now you tell us. |

![]() :) |

![]() Thinking Bugs Bunny aka conductor Leopold holding that sustained finale |
![]() |
![]() it's so wonderful to hear all this stuff now. it's still being rediscovered! most of her 70s works were hourish in length, and because of the the limitations of vinyl, just presented a few times, either in "concert" or installation.....then the tapes went back into their boxes for good..... |
Fri. 7/25/14 12:57pm
bill:
What's with all the dead air today?
![]() |
![]() Ouch |
Fri. 7/25/14 1:00pm
Ken of Brooklyn:
And her scores are fantastic to look at! http://vimeo.com/87398243
Fri. 7/25/14 1:01pm
Lulu:
she's cool | |
![]() |
![]() thanks for posting that Ken -- I'll have to check that out later. I love Radigue's work sooo much. |
![]() |
![]() love that video! she's still hangin' out in paris with her arp twenty-FIVE hundred |
![]() |
![]() I've been enjoying one of her recent compositions lately, Naldjorlak I-III. Was hesitant to order it at first, since it's not "electronic" like her earlier works, but it's actually really wonderful. |
Fri. 7/25/14 1:06pm
Pete Townshend:
Is something playing on the radio, or is it just my ears?
Fri. 7/25/14 1:06pm
Ken of Brooklyn:
A good friend met her when doing an art residency in Paris, she's fun and super approachable. Wish someplace like PS1 would do a big retrospective of her music and scores, etc,,,,,
![]() |
![]() couple years ago, a few of her recent instrumental pieces were performed in NYC. i couldn't make it..... |
Fri. 7/25/14 1:06pm
Lulu:
I have never heard of this before "Buddhist drone core" (in youtube comments) amusing but accurate categorization. I was wondering if I could use this for yoga, seems like it might work, but might be more suited for meditative drawing, as it might be too dark for yoga.. what do you all think it would be good for?
![]() |
![]() i saw some Naldjorlak performed at Issue Project Room in 2010. i like the electronics more but it was some serious heavy sounds from i think a solo cello and then some kind of horn? plus i immediately rode my bike to Manhattan to see Merzbow right after! |
![]() |
![]() then i ate pizza |
Fri. 7/25/14 1:09pm
Ken of Brooklyn:
DAMN, didn't know about that Bryce. And Lulu, I think someone told her music sounded 'buddhist' at one of her concerts and she become immersed in that soon afterwards. Very cool artist!
Fri. 7/25/14 1:11pm
bill:
Sounds like the MELA room. You can spend all day just crawling around in there like a slow motion baby.
Fri. 7/25/14 1:11pm
Ken of Brooklyn:
@ Steve, a perfect nite!!!!!
![]() |
![]() lulu, when she started presenting these pieces, some students came up to her and informed her she was a buddhist. she was apparently, like, "oh?" but she looked into it and wound up spending years studying tibetan buddhism, if i remember correctly. ken, i was in paris last year, and a friend of a friend knows her. he said the same: "you should meet her!" didn't work out, but always inspiring when people are lovely and approachable. |
![]() |
![]() whoops, beat me to it, ken. :) bill, yeah, same deal! fewer channels, but you can still crawl around on the floor and discover secret chattering and rumbles. |
![]() |
![]() @ Steve: Yep, parts I is for cello, II is basset horn and III is for both. |
![]() |
![]() whats MELA room? is it like the Dreamhouse? |
![]() |
![]() i used to be one of the monitors at the dreamhouse, so i could spend all day there without feeling creepy, hahaa |
![]() |
![]() My dream job, no pun intended. |
![]() |
![]() I'm honestly curious as to how this ends. fade out. sudden cutoff. |
![]() |
![]() i don't think it ends. |
![]() |
![]() when i started, i was given la monte & marian's # downstairs because their cable tv would occasionally interfere with the rayna synthesizer, so we'd have to ring up if that was happening when someone came in. i still like to imagine la monte on an easy chair, watching ESPN 3, shouting, "FUCKKK!!!!!" whenever the phone rings. |
![]() |
![]() ha! |
![]() |
![]() hahahaha |

![]() This is perfect for playing my jaw harp along with. |
![]() |
![]() imagine if a 4/4 kick drum came in right now |
![]() |
![]() Then it would turn into Boston's "Long Time". |
![]() |
![]() i want this piece to end with the bugs bunny four note banjo coda |
