I let the people on Therese's playlist know that you started yours, amEdeo.

Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:06am Matt from Springfield:

I've already started editing that the rest of my life, amEdeo, and I would recommend not getting too obsessed about it--no way to finish all that...
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:08am Matt from Springfield:

And yes, those Talk pages can get really heated, I've been ensnared in some for "callous" edits--from the website anyone can edit, that's the ultimate self-importance: "How dare you not consult me, checking every Talk page before you click that! Shame!"
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:09am Matt from Springfield:

Most of the time no one cares about that shit though, and I've made several improvements without hassle! :)

My Wikipedia user name is "Jonny99"--very hard to get a user name you like, it's so big! Eventually I found "Jonny99", one word, without h.
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:10am Matt from Springfield:

Yes, I think there should be a 3 hour soup-and-chat-and-music episode devoted to soups!!
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:11am Matt from Springfield:

Adieu, Therese! Good night, and thanks for bringing us a great Marathon!
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:13am Matt from Springfield:

Close the nominations--"Tickle The Whale" has already won Best Song of This or Any Millenium...
  Mon. 3/10/14 3:14am P--90:

@amEdeo: you also went the extra nine yards and put on a helluva spectacle for your Marathon shows, you really earned the positive reponse (some would say)
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:15am Matt from Springfield:

And put both shows on VIDEO, as well! Great job, above and beyond the call of duty, amEdeo! :)
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:16am amEdeo:

I will tell the story of "Tickle The Whale" during the mic break.

THANK YOU for all the very kind words about my marathon shows! I'm happy y'all enjoyed them so much.
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:17am Matt from Springfield:

FO-CUS!!

The pleasure was all everyone's, amEdeo! :)
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:18am stavros:

Crafty amEdeo sings a dead or alive song, then plays the song dead or alive
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:22am amEdeo:

YEESSSSSSS
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:24am stavros:

Who should sing Hocus Pocus next year? Stn Mgr Ken? Dave Emory? Screaming Foodbed? amEdeo?
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:27am Matt from Springfield:

amEdeo has the pipes for it!
Clay Pigeon could also do it great, and "Screaming Foodbed" Michele has proven herself worthy tonight.
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:30am ! I X Key !:

!
I am still excited from the marathon!
=D
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:31am stavros:

In my opinion, Clay Pigeon should stay in his wheelhouse, which is clearly hip-hop. This is not to say that he wouldn't bring life to the song. He probably wouldn't even need to look at the lyrics much.
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:31am Matt from Springfield:

As are we, I X!
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:34am amEdeo:

NEVER STOP BELIEVING. SOMEONE PLEASE SEND ME FOOD. I'M SO HUNGRY.
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:38am amEdeo:

Not enough people have favorited Tickle The Whale. THE WHALE IS MOST DISPLEASED.
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:38am Matt from Springfield:

Go Petra Haden!

I have some unsalted almonds here--sending some through the SnackuPlaylist...hey, what happened to those 100 pizzas Hearty punk'd you with on Thursday?? Any of those left?...
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:39am BadGuyZero:

Clay Pigeon is versatile. Last year he did "We're an American Band" and it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Yezright!
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:39am stavros:

favorited
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:40am Andrew Waterloo:

Sorry, I can't favourite the Wonder Pets. I've been forced to watch that show.
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:40am Pat Byrne:

Still hopped up on adrenalin and goofballs!
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:41am BadGuyZero:

I'm trying to think of anything gluten-free that the market around the corner might have.
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:41am Matt from Springfield:

Tickle the whale--or it will become repressed and angry!
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:41am amEdeo:

Clay can do no wrong. HEY PAT! DO YOU HAVE ANY FOOD?!
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:44am amEdeo:

Right now I am eating/sucking on Clorox Disinfecting Wipes.
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:44am Andrew Waterloo:

I thought Brownyn and Jim brought in the best performance. That's the one I want to hear again.
  Mon. 3/10/14 3:48am Julie:

aww Amedeo no food there ?? :(
Mon. 3/10/14 3:48am Dan in Milwaukee:

Has anyone done a japanese version of godzilla
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:53am Matt from Springfield:

Hey FvH! Did you make it for Godzilla?
Mon. 3/10/14 3:54am Dan in Milwaukee:

what about a version in godzilla's language in which he complains about how people and their cities are mucking up the view
Mon. 3/10/14 3:55am Dan in Milwaukee:

does godzilla even have a language? I'm pretty ignorant on his situation
  Mon. 3/10/14 3:55am Julie:

Was that your Jonesy impression?
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:55am fred von helsing:

@MvS Nope, missed that too ! Maybe we can spin the Mother's Ruin version ??
  Mon. 3/10/14 3:55am Julie:

I just like the idea of the chorus being Gojira
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:58am Andrew Waterloo:

maybe Baby Metal can do a Japanese version of Godzilla
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:58am Matt from Springfield:

Detractors??!
I hate detractors SO MUCH, I'm gonna be FRIENDS with them!
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:59am Pat Byrne:

I missed dinner too.. Also- feared that if I ate before hoof n mouth the chances of vomit would be higher.
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:59am Matt from Springfield:

Spinal Tap "Break[s] Like The Wind", but not Waves, so far...
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:59am Matt from Springfield:

FIXED! :)
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 3:59am fred von helsing:

did you mean the film Breaking The Wind
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 4:00am Pat Byrne:

Bad Guy Zero- how long you in town?
Avatar    Mon. 3/10/14 4:00am Julie:

Matt you up late tonight! Pat, didn't see vomit at station but lots at PATH station and train (UGH)
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 4:02am Pat Byrne:

oh, I believe it, Julie! PS- loved your song choice and performance! bravo
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 4:02am Matt from Springfield:

@FVH: No, "Break Like The Wind" is a title by Spinal Tap, possibly from their 90s CD.

@Julie: I'm off tomorrow! Hooray! With the adrenaline from the H&M, and DamnDaylight Savings Time beginning, I prob would be awake now anyway--so that's fortunate! :)
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 4:03am Matt from Springfield:

Now I just gotta worry about sudden insomnia striking midweek, which happens too days after the shift..
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 4:04am Matt from Springfield:

Awww, we love you too amEdeo!
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 4:06am BadGuyZero:

@Pat: I fly back tomorrow afternoon. I'll be back soon. I'll give you a heads-up when it's going to happen.
Avatar    Mon. 3/10/14 4:07am Julie:

Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 4:17am Matt from Springfield:

Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 4:19am Matt from Springfield:

Exactamundo, FVH.
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 4:32am Matt from Springfield:

Enjoying The Residents, and spacing out...
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 4:33am amEdeo:

I just ate some Doritos. I've never thought of myself as a Doritos fan, but I guess I have just joined the ranks. WHY CAN'T I FIND MORE SNACKS.
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 4:36am Matt from Springfield:

Were there any potato chips with the Doritos stash? And anyhow Doritos are hardly food, but will fill your belly up when hungry.
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 4:39am Matt from Springfield:

Poetic readings of old sea shantys? Interesting...
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 4:40am amEdeo:

It was a tiny unopened bag, in a somewhat suspect location. Tasted delicious, given how hungry I am.
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 4:42am Matt from Springfield:

And now: the Hollywood flick.
They finally have the CGI technology to a Noah's Ark epic within a budget. (Even the parting/crashing of the Red Sea in The Ten Commandments was a *huge* effect at the time).
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 4:43am Matt from Springfield:

They just need to remember that too many epics will cause a glut and lose money, like in the early 60s.
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 4:44am amEdeo:

Hahahaww. To be honest, my decision to play that was primarily motivated by the presence of Ricky Jay. Who I am annoyed by and interested in.
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 4:47am HarktheUmpire:

Zombie Aliens from Hell.
Has that been done yet?
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 4:49am Matt from Springfield:

Annoyed by/Interested in! Like Dubstep Hocus, or Kim Fowley! ;)

@Hark: Charlton Heston would have to star in it--whether zombie or corpse. It's too much his thing not to star in it.
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 4:55am HarktheUmpire:

Ah, yes. As Moses.
image.guim.co.uk...
Maybe he could save the world by throwing the ten commandments at Zombie Alien Satan. All using old footage from other films since he's no longer around. I don't have a budget anyway, it all went to WFMU! >:O
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 4:57am Matt from Springfield:

@Hark: You got it! Clip movie of existing Charlton footage--that's definitely doable! :)
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 5:00am Matt from Springfield:

SURRENDER. TO WHALE.
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 5:07am Matt from Springfield:

If he's such a suspicious magic guy, you'd think he would be found out and arrested by Adrian Monk by now...
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 5:08am fred von helsing:

I guess I can finally change out of my Marathong. It's getting pretty ripe.
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 5:09am Matt from Springfield:

Kim F: "...and it's FREE! Jackpot!..." :O

@FVH: You may want to turn on the shower jets now..
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 5:11am Matt from Springfield:

Alas, my own consciousness is withdrawing quickly--thank you amEdeo for a great show and a great Marathon! Thanks Pledgers and volunteers and supporters of WFMU! :D
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 5:12am amEdeo:

THANK YOU, MATT! HAVE A GOOD SLORP!
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 5:14am Matt from Springfield:

100% is overrated.
Kim looks so anguished about the results.
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 5:28am HarktheUmpire:

btw, I'm really enjoying the music.
Thanks amEdeo!
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 5:34am amEdeo:

Well *I* am enjoying you! Not as much as I enjoyed those Doritos, mind you.
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 5:37am pierre:

Bonjour Radio family people !
How are you ?

Bonjour Amedeo, ça va ?
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 5:38am amEdeo:

Bonjour Pierre! I am so very hungry that I have resorted to eating linoleum. How are you?!!
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 5:40am bibi:

salut pierre, à temps pour le feu d'artifice final...
Avatar Mon. 3/10/14 5:48am pierre:

linoleum taste good with mayo.

what is "le feu d'artifice" ?? And why do I woke up wondering why the 100% hasn't been reached ?!?
