Quite like Willie West, thank you!

How's the earbone today Holly?

Holly in NC:

@Whooda - not sure if eardrum has entirely ruptured or not, but fluid leaking has offered significant pain relief (sorry for grossness). Hearing only slightly impaired. :-)

Whooda:

I remember my first month having moved to NC there was a massive ice storm. My apt. building was surrounded by giant pine trees and in the night I would hear huge branches snap followed by the soound of lower branches being taken down with the first. People came to work (and the Christmas party) without a shower in four days due to lost water pressure.

I just checked, and there is also a DJ Xanax. You should tour together.

'no prescriptions required' tour! I like it...

P-90:

good Morning DJ Small Change, show keeping me happy so far

$mall ¢hange:

glad to hear. Prozac manned the counter at Throb Records in the east village from the mid 90s to early 00s. Serious head.

@Whooda - amazing evocative, I think I know the ice storm of which you speak. Tonight I sit surrounded by flashlights & candles & matches & lanterns, but it looks like there will be no need. So I will sip my cough medicine subsitute - Chivas, watered down by my teetotalin' employers kids, back in said kids high schol days, ~ 7 years ago. We're just going for some throat numbing here.

....the old water down the folk's Chivas high school kids trick

@Holly Glad to hear your're safe in health and habitat. Had read that folks in Raleigh got stranded driving on the roads around 4:00 today.

@P-90 Sounds a lot like 'rumatism medicine doesn't it?
  1:16am
P-90:

@S.Change and Prozac: The description you just gave descibes my impressions of Prozac's set.
"the after-party after the after-party," the leading edge of the leading edge. I was thinking it sounded like the music I imagined characters in futuristic science fiction novels listened to, when I read them as a kid/teen

Holly in NC:

@whooda - lots & lots of stranded folks in Durham also. Many of my neighbors spent all afternoon & early evening bringing hot drinks & protein bars to people stuck on I-85, then pushing cars up the 2 exit ramps in our 'hood (more specifivally up the inclined street after exit ramps), and finally opening their homes to those who were stuck overnight. I love my neighbors.

$mall ¢hange:

wow that's crazy...hope everyone is ok!
  1:27am
P-90:

@Whooo: I' m wishing I had a little of the ol' rumtism medicine right now. I can practically taste Holly's watered down Chivas right now...
and whats the difference between watered down Chivas and Chivas-and-water, a drink one can pay $16-$18 for at a nice bar in NYC?
I've worked behind a few bars, and can tell you that the serious, man-of-the world Scotch drinkers will order their scotch with water, that's all, occaisionally on the rocks with a splash of water
Avatar 1:37am
Holly in NC:

Oh, for a Lagavulin, 1 ice cube & a water back!
(back to sipping ancient watered down Chivas, as cough medicine no complaints ) ;-)

$mall ¢hange:

I'm down! pour one here!
Avatar 1:42am
Whooda:

@ Holly that's a great story and helps me remember what was so special about NC. I wouldn't mind a shot of that *cough medicine* myself. Am currently treating a bad case of, of.... of stubbed toe, yes that's it, stubbed toe with some Rebel Yell whiskey, no water or ice.

@P-90 I just can't bring myself to drink in bars because of the costs when I think of what I could buy at the liquor store compared to one drink at the local dive.

DJ Prozac and DJ Small Change really enjoy this reuptake inhibiting show

Clipping sample loops were never cool or audibly enjoyable to listen to. Just saying.

Just got word from my listserv, from a middle aged man (& noted local designer) who lives in the hood & spent hours w. a few other folks packing runs tonight:

"1am. Sledding forecast for Thurs. on Anita St:
EPIC [this in 48 pt bold italic - Holly]
Not for the faint of heart. It is going to be insanely fast on all sleds"

I wish I was home! (I am stuck elsewhere in Durham).

@Small Change R&R is also a Communist plot to corrupt the kids and turn them into pinko-commies.
Avatar 2:30am
Whooda:

@Holly Simply sitting on waxed paper on a playground slide is too fast for me. I can't imagine sledding on ice. Crazy!

I understand the desire to be in your own space but at least your safe and warm.

They take the time to carefully explain the procedures in obtaining the loan and go through solutions to resolve any financial issues you might have. Special mention to the stall namely Ms Tracy and Mr Steven who i think are very meticulous in their work and deserve special mention. Kudos and keep up the good work. People might come in with worries and problems but trying them out definitely helped solve my problems, and you can reach them at elijahcapitals@gmail.com
