Kurt, is that the real Dawn of the Dead? The new one is a remake? wow
Avatar 3:37pm
Kurt Gottschalk:

bar, not sure what you're asking, but yes, that's the second film in romero's series of dead movies.
  3:41pm
Bar:

By real, i mean original, sorry. But thanks i didnt know that director.
Avatar 3:43pm
Kurt Gottschalk:

yeah, george romero originalted the dead movies with 'night of the living dead' in 1968. he continues to make them (i think there are 9 now) but lost the copyright so other people get to fuck them up as well. i interviewed romero on the show a few years ago and a director who did a very worthwhile documentary about him last month. check the archives. i love his movies. way better than that running zombie bullshit. (and didn't mean to sound snarky above, just wasn't sure what you were asking.)

Bar:

i was talking about this one:
www.imdb.com...
  3:44pm
JakeGould:

The original “Dawn of the Dead” was made in 1978 by George Romero. The whole film is set at a shopping mall. The one from 2004 was a remake that is nowhere as good as the 1978 one.
  3:45pm
Bar:

and its based on romeros screenplay
Avatar 3:45pm
Kurt Gottschalk:

yeah, romero had nothing to do with that. didn't get any money from it either.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:45pm

...if they go for your copy of 50 Shades - just spank 'em hard...In 'The Monster Show' by David J. Skal - a very worthwhile history & meaning of the Horror genre book - he discusses the Cabbage Patch kids as relevant to the age of childbirth anxiety (birthcontrol, defects, abortion)...

‘“Jerusalem runs at 52 minutes and is a single composition split into six identically named tracks. The version of the album titled Dopesmoker was released on April 22, 2003, by Tee Pee Records on compact disc and vinyl with a 63-minute running time.”
