Avatar Fri. 9/27/13 9:09am Doug Schulkind:

Burt Ward, the Boy Wonder in Batman, became sperm-man, literally... became a porn star, and when he was asked for autographs he gave them in bat-sperm. so he said.
Avatar Fri. 9/27/13 9:23am Doug Schulkind:

Burt Ward become a porn star? That is fabulous. That kind of shuts up F. Scott Fitzerald's quip "There are no second acts in American lives."
Avatar Fri. 9/27/13 9:24am Shaun:

'Scott was a winner who ate his dogs for dinner'. (Too soon, drummers?)
Avatar Fri. 9/27/13 9:24am glenn:

Avatar Fri. 9/27/13 9:25am glenn:

that should be on keili's playlist, dcp. these guys have no idea what you mean.
Avatar Fri. 9/27/13 9:26am glenn:

dcp is cross commenting. it's pretty funny.
Avatar Fri. 9/27/13 9:26am Doug Schulkind:

Never too soon to join the fun, Shaun.

i'm more of an ^^
Avatar Fri. 9/27/13 9:32am glenn:

i actually think doug and keili could do a pretty good marathon show together. the wily veteran coaches the raw rookie, so to speak.

Avatar Fri. 9/27/13 9:35am Doug Schulkind:

Avatar Fri. 9/27/13 9:35am dc pat:

I would argue that more people probably shift twixt Drummer and Beastin than any other concurrent shows...
Avatar Fri. 9/27/13 9:36am dc pat:

DANG, commented on the right playlist.
Avatar Fri. 9/27/13 9:37am dc pat:

Keili, use >> and <<
Avatar Fri. 9/27/13 9:39am hyde:

I'm pretty sure that the Burt Ward/porn rumor comes entirely from the fact that he was in a handful of tame softcore R movies like "Virgin High" with Linnea Quigley.
Avatar Fri. 9/27/13 9:41am Doug Schulkind:

Don't kill the joy, hyde.
Avatar Fri. 9/27/13 9:41am ausmanx:

burt did harder stuff too... it's all there in his autobiography. and you can believe the words of a caped crusader
Avatar Fri. 9/27/13 9:46am hyde:

well, I haven't read the autobio myself so I can't say.
Avatar Fri. 9/27/13 9:46am glenn:

virgin high? i don't think that was based on my high school.
Avatar Fri. 9/27/13 9:47am Doug Schulkind:

Avatar Fri. 9/27/13 9:58am ndbob:

Excellent show Doug... off to the doctors - might be back for the end
Avatar Fri. 9/27/13 9:58am Doug Schulkind:

@LJFW
I once edited a guide to beer by Michael Jackson. (Not that Michael Jackson, the other one.) In 1986, I visited Belgium with a friend and he boasted to everyone in every bar that I was some kind of beer expert and EVERYONE made me drink their favorite beer to see what I'd have to say. Jesus, I think I'm still skunked from that trip.
Avatar Fri. 9/27/13 10:00am dc pat:

yeah Michael Jackson was THEE authority back then.
Avatar Fri. 9/27/13 10:00am Doug Schulkind:

Avatar Fri. 9/27/13 10:27am Gary:

I'm pretty sure it was Peter Doolan at Monrakplengthai who transliterated the title/artists for this one
  Fri. 9/27/13 10:27am trish:

@Doug: I've been thinking about a suggestion for the Tuesday one-hour special: How about one hour of Sublime Frequencies? Not to suggest that your selections are anything less than sublime, but ya know what I mean? Lots of radio oddities in that series.

@Hugo
Wow, editing down Sublime Frequencies to an hour would be quite an challenge.
Avatar Fri. 9/27/13 10:51am Lewis:

All of Sublime Freq - or just the radio stuff? Either way, tall order... could result in some interesting juxtaposition (not to mention conceptual conundrums: would Group Doha (spelled wrong) be radio or other?)
Avatar Fri. 9/27/13 10:52am Doug Schulkind:

Hey Lewis!
An hour of Group Douah would be great, but then everyone would need to buy new brains to replace their blown ones.
  Fri. 9/27/13 10:54am trish:

@doug How about a recurring series? 'Submlime Frequences #1, #2 .. ?
Avatar Fri. 9/27/13 10:55am Doug Schulkind:

Speaking of Sublime Frequencies (sort of), listen for Sun City Girls to start of the next set.
Avatar Fri. 9/27/13 10:57am Hugo:

I may need a new brain for that.
Avatar Fri. 9/27/13 10:58am Doug Schulkind:

Avatar Fri. 9/27/13 11:04am northguineahills:

Yeah, loving me some milk teeth...
Avatar Fri. 9/27/13 11:05am Alex In Illinois:

@Uncle Michael
You are likely correct. I just never heard of a pepper pot, so I assumed they were saying "pod" because those ladies were shaped a little like bell peppers to me.
