@Amanda: that's happening to Paris. A side effect is that many smaller venues are closing because of noise complaints from the people who moved into lively places in their late 20s and now use daddy's connections so that the noise doesn't disturb their babies.

@fred: I know what you mean. The hipsters of Portland are reproducing and the results aren't pretty.

Dave produced 'ShakeSomeAction' !
...that's enuff cred for me...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:26pm

That always surprised me, Rev. Dave produces great-sounding records and that's not a great sounding record. It's a great record...but it sounds like shit.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:26pm

Serious head-nodding going on to "Danny's Song," I'm only slightly embarrassed to say.

Unlike the Raspberries records that can never be fixed because Ienner recorded them badly to begin with.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:32pm
Amanda:

This particular Spotify app has had a lot of Loggins.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:33pm

IIRC, the "Shake Some Action" 45 does sound quite a bit different from the album version.
Avatar 1:33pm
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- Q is - are there raw tapes, @ what stage, what shape - & mostly - who owns...cause man, I loves 'ShakeSomeAction' album.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:36pm
Uncle Michael:

I'm gonna find the single mix.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:43pm

What you should do, UM, is listen to all the other shows for DJ references to songs they wanted to play but forgot to bring or couldn't find -- then play 'em on YOUR next show.

Chipmonks Vs. CannedHeat Xmas - Whaaaaat - ?!?
...'OnTheRoadAgain' is wunna the earliest things I heard in my life - 45 - 'cause of big brother - 'DarkSide'-ish company label w/ spectrum on black - & starts & ends w/ that heavy drone & harmonics...
