I only went to Coney Island once. It started downpouring as soon as we got there, so we took shelter at Nathans. The streets started flooding and when cars went by, they would kick waves up into Nathans which is all open and at street level. We left shortly thereafter and it stopped raining as soon as we did.

Hello fucker, dale, Danne D

Brooklyn has become a brand name... the same upper middle class people who would have moved to Hoboken or Manhattan 10 years ago are starting to see Brooklyn as a single uber trendy destination.

who wrote cannery row? i read that 30 years ago, all the characters would scratch up some money to leave, spend it at the bar instead and have to stay on in cannery row.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:39pm
Mike East:

The Bronx was named after the river which was named for Jonas Bronck. They called it Bronck's river, then eventually changed it to Bronx.

Steinbeck wrote cannery row

nothing says excitement and progress like some big bandish music co-opted from a lottery commercial

Did anybody yell "Hey, Fuckers!" in the film. Seems like it would be appropriate.
