i like the sound of that month.
Avatar    Tue. 8/13/13 1:34pm Tony Coulter:

haven't broken a sweat once this summer out here in the cool and clammy Northwest.
Avatar    Tue. 8/13/13 1:35pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

YOU TEASE ME with that pleasant climate nonsense, Tony COLDER!
Avatar    Tue. 8/13/13 1:36pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Summer in DC is as wretched as ever. I bloody grew up here & never got used to it. Praying for October, but I've begun to doubt my faith. I fear it may not exist.
Avatar    Tue. 8/13/13 1:36pm pacific standard simon:

Tony's fibbin', folks -- don't believe the hype!
Avatar    Tue. 8/13/13 1:42pm Tony Coulter:

OK -- maybe one little bitty drop of sweat. But after NYC in August, it's nothing.
  Tue. 8/13/13 1:42pm MrFab:

I got your back, Tony - been a cool, mild summer down here in LA, too. Come on out, kids, I'll give you the tour!
Avatar    Tue. 8/13/13 1:46pm Uncle Michael:

Tabla rasa..I wasn't bemoaning the thermometer but rather, the calendar itself.
Avatar    Tue. 8/13/13 1:47pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

57 degrees, cloudy, occasional gust of wind: Perfect conditions. I need to map where on earth it does that throughout the year, and follow that exact weather pattern around the globe. Eternal autumn: IT MUST BE POSSIBLE.
Avatar    Tue. 8/13/13 1:48pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Whoa, Hawaiian Pups! Their BABY JUDY 12" got a lot of play down here back then...
Avatar    Tue. 8/13/13 1:52pm Tony Coulter:

Lydia Tomkiw (of Algebra Suicide) has almost the same accent as Lydia Lunch.
Avatar    Tue. 8/13/13 1:53pm Tony Coulter:

Yep -- that's Crocus Behemoth.
Avatar    Tue. 8/13/13 2:19pm Tony Coulter:

Has everyone melted away in the summer sun?
Avatar    Tue. 8/13/13 2:21pm Rich in Washington:

I'm listening from across the room, shearing out book pages and assembling them. My fingers too busy to type, luckily still have them after chopping out books.
Avatar    Tue. 8/13/13 2:23pm Uncle Michael:

I'm listening between tantrae.
Avatar    Tue. 8/13/13 2:23pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Melted. Yes. Relating to these burbly sounds very closely.
Avatar    Tue. 8/13/13 2:25pm Tony Coulter:

Ah, yes: burbly tantric fingers.
  Tue. 8/13/13 2:26pm MrFab:

What are you doing, Rich, Have you gone off your meds?!
Avatar    Tue. 8/13/13 2:28pm listener james from westwood:

i'm here; just dealing with auto repair folks. trying to find an alternative to a 4-figure fix. was unconscious for a spell.
Avatar    Tue. 8/13/13 2:30pm Tony Coulter:

Oh no: the four figures of doom. Hope you can evade them.
Avatar    Tue. 8/13/13 2:32pm Rich in Washington:

What do I care? I'm wasting fingers like I have them to spare
Avatar    Tue. 8/13/13 2:40pm listener james from westwood:

the options are replace the fuel injectors, or for me to run some fuel-injector cleaner thru the works and have the shop reset the computer so the "check engine" light doesn't raise hackles at the DMV (yep, this is also my inspection month). which one ya think i'm gonna pick :D
Avatar    Tue. 8/13/13 2:41pm listener james from westwood:

i'll give those four figures the five-finger heart punch if i can
Avatar    Tue. 8/13/13 2:43pm Tony Coulter:

@ Rich: That comment RE doom was meant for Listener James. I hope he can evade the four figures of monetary apocalypse. As for you, Rich, I hope you still have at least four fingers when you're finished hacking up books.
Avatar    Tue. 8/13/13 2:45pm listener james from westwood:

the car already cost me a timing belt earlier this year. not eager to send another rent check under its hood.
Avatar    Tue. 8/13/13 2:50pm Rich in Washington:

I once learned that each finger is worth five figures, in industrial insurance accidents, with pinkies being at the bottom end.
Avatar    Tue. 8/13/13 2:51pm Rich in Washington:

A thumb will land you something like 20k.
Avatar    Tue. 8/13/13 2:53pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Excellent. To hell with the job search. I'm sellin' these thumbs immediately. Useless appendages... Looking forward to my new life as a wealthy chap with fringed flippers.
Avatar    Tue. 8/13/13 2:54pm Tony Coulter:

A thumb in time saves nine.
Avatar    Tue. 8/13/13 2:59pm DCE:
