What's this "WNYX" stuff?
Avatar Wed. 7/17/13 3:03pm Irwin:

Sorry, forgot to post a crankass graphic this week.
Avatar Wed. 7/17/13 3:05pm rrg:

Tell us about WNYX instead, then.
Avatar Wed. 7/17/13 3:08pm Droll:

rrg, FMU is taking a page from the ClearChannel playbook and buying out every station to eliminate radio choice. Freeform vs. American Cheese Slices (individually wrapped).
Avatar Wed. 7/17/13 3:08pm Caryn:

Are we talking about the real-life WNYX or the fictional WNYX? Because I could get behind a discussion about the fictional one.
Avatar Wed. 7/17/13 3:08pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...we want to be free men free of Freeman...
...ADG is a GNFAB!!
Avatar Wed. 7/17/13 3:08pm rrg:

Montgomery, New York. They're off to a good start.
Avatar Wed. 7/17/13 3:10pm rrg:

RRN63, that's EXACTLY what I thought (about the band name) but I didn't say it and you did. So now you get credit for it and I don't.
Avatar Wed. 7/17/13 3:10pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...so much technical, political & psychological Uncertainty of late...
Avatar Wed. 7/17/13 3:11pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- yes - but you taught me - "GNFAB"!...
Avatar Wed. 7/17/13 3:12pm Droll:

I read a post on FT that accused FMU of trying to manipulate the housing market by reducing desirability in certain areas when they constructing transmitters. I know when I play FMU desirability of my immediate area declines, so it must be true.
Avatar Wed. 7/17/13 3:12pm rrg:

I'm okay, you're okay. We're fine. If we're not, it's brain chemistry and that can be fixed.
Avatar Wed. 7/17/13 3:13pm chris:

more genuine cheese flavored individually wrapped slices of Irwin's musical selections, please... almost tastes like the real thing

great cover!
Avatar Wed. 7/17/13 3:16pm rrg:

WFMU can do whatever they want. Those who oppose them get on my shit list and never get off it.

I still hate WFUV for their part (however small) in threatening WFMU's existence back there in the early 90s. Those days of yore.
Avatar Wed. 7/17/13 3:17pm rrg:

The consequences of being on my shit list are endurable to most of the people on it, though. This is still America.
  Wed. 7/17/13 3:17pm jfreeman:

OK.. I have GOT to get a copy of this album.. gotta find out WHERE!

Miner music? Minor music?
Avatar Wed. 7/17/13 3:23pm Droll:

Sounds like you caught a case of Old Codger. Douse the mic with Lysol when your show is over.
Avatar Wed. 7/17/13 3:25pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...it doesn't hurt expensive mikes to spray them liberally w/ Lysol, does it? I'm not technical like that...
Avatar Wed. 7/17/13 3:27pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...minor miners - before their lungs are full of hack...
Avatar Wed. 7/17/13 3:28pm Droll:

I wouldn't want what Irwin has. I'd dunk the mic twice, and make sure to get it all over the console, into all the cracks and jacks. And the CD drawers: DJs go CD case to nose to player. Every time.
Avatar Wed. 7/17/13 3:30pm Caryn:

This minor/miner discussion is making me think of "Galaxy Quest"...
Avatar Wed. 7/17/13 3:32pm rrg:

I don't remember the reference but I loved "Galaxy Quest".

Hello all Chusidians. Irwin, Thanks for the upcoming Pepe tribute. You're totally correct about the dearth of such on our otherwise beloved station. Many fond memories of 70s Suffolk club shows.

Hmmmm, actually like Melody's Echo Chamber, I must admit.
Avatar Wed. 7/17/13 3:39pm rrg:

Wow. Where do you find this stuff? It's as though it were your job or something.
Avatar Wed. 7/17/13 3:42pm Droll:

@LOT: the film's okay, if uneven. And the plot is awfully centered around people forgetting stuff and needing to go back for it. But for completists who want to see every Louis Malle/Jeanne Moreau film, or for people just wanting to listen to the soundtrack, it's fine.
