Rivers flow and blizzards snow, but only Amanda can deliver /this/ show.
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 12:00pm Amanda:

Heyyy Artie! (and everyone!)

Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 12:01pm fleep:

Chilly mornings, foggy days, I'm here for the Amanda craze.
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 12:08pm northguineahills:

It's bizarre to smell freshly cut grass and gasoline from a mower here in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The apt complex next door has a 8'x24'(2.6mx2.9m) lawn
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 12:09pm Amanda:

Two Burma-Shave ads in as many songs! How lucky can one DJ get?

hi amEdeo and ngh!
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 12:10pm Amanda:

Bushwick, eh? Make sure they are growing wild ramps and farro on it
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 12:11pm Lizardner Dave:

I'm late but I have a hall pass.
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 12:17pm northguineahills:

I thought that was Neruda. Mainly b/c his poetry is easy for my gringo spanish to understand.
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 12:18pm G:

Cum On Feel the Ballad!
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 12:21pm northguineahills:

The Ecuadorian restaurant downstairs closed, so my landlord is no longer around. So, I got a late start these last few weeks planting my veggies and herbs on the fire escape out back. My jalapeno bush survived the winter inside, so, I have that going for me.
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 12:23pm northguineahills:

(after Sandy, the landlord got insurance, and they made me take my rather elaborate fire escape garden down. I even built giant planters out of scrap wood).
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 12:23pm G:

Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 12:23pm john:

woot! Always good to hear your karaoke, Amanda

Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 12:38pm Danne D:

Lookit AmNazz in pop-up player version now :)
Hiya folks :)
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 12:41pm Amanda:

Hi Danne, Mike VL, and G! You guys, this show is so good.
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 12:45pm Amanda:

Oop, Lizardner Dave and fleep too. Every last one of you.
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 12:46pm Brian in UK:

Hello Amanda.
No offense but in Chis(w)ick the 'w' is not pronounced.

Hey ngh what is Ecuadorian food like, spicy vicuna in a wrap?
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 12:49pm Doug Schulkind:

Hello Amanda! And hello Brian ho(w) are you?
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 12:49pm northguineahills:

No vicuna here, mostly Ecuadorian sausage w/ rice and beans, and seafood. The cerviche is decent as well. However, I've seen the kitchen staff drop veggies before out back w/o rewashing before, so my roommate wouldn't eat there. I just assume dirty food is good food.
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 12:50pm AnAnonymousParty:

Oh my, I do believe I am getting the vapors!
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 12:52pm Rich in Washington:

I forgot about this track!
Sounds like a warmup exercise by Wire, instrumentally.
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 12:54pm Brian in UK:

(W)onderful, thanks Doug.

ngh what the eyes do not see the stomach does not grieve overly.
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 12:54pm Rich in Washington:

Everyone has made their personal mix of Sandinista, using all the really good tracks. I want to make one with all the tossed-off stuff.
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:00pm ndbob:

afternoon Amanda and everyone!
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:02pm Matt from Springfield:

Hey there, Amanda! Afternoon, to NDBob and everyone!

Still can't listen in, but the Internet's been so terrible at my workplace I couldn't even stop by to say hi--taking advantage now!
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:03pm Matt from Springfield:

Glad to be among Nazarians and/or Scenarians again! :)
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:06pm Stevel:

Perhaps we can all be Amandanites?
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:06pm Brian in UK:

Kendal Mint Cake.
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:08pm Matt from Springfield:

@Stevel: We haven't found a real, consensus "winner" among AmNazz fan nicknames, but variety is the spice of playlists! Also, spice is the spice of life.
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:09pm Rich in Washington:

I hope sectarianism doesn't crop up between Nazarians and Scenarians!
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:11pm Amanda:

Amandanite is the birthstone for January, I think.
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:11pm Doug Schulkind:

Just ran across this Marie Laforêt the other day: yayosalvamusical2.blogspot.com...
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:13pm Brian in UK:

Did Superman have trouble with Amandanite?
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:14pm Brian in UK:

Sorry that was Bicycle Repair Man.
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:15pm northguineahills:

Nazzites would just be confused w/ fans of the Nazz.
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:16pm Dominick:

Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:19pm Amanda:

Buenas, Dominick! @ngh -- There's a fair amount of overlap.
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:22pm Stanley:

Checking in - no baggage. Ready to take-off.
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:23pm Matt from Springfield:

@Stanley: This flight's already in progress, but thanks to WFMU you can check in even after take-off! I myself boarded this show an hour after take-off.
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:24pm Amanda:

We all have some baggage. There's nothing to be ashamed of.
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:25pm Matt from Springfield:

...and boy, are my arms tired
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:26pm Brian in UK:

Is this the eleven step program(me)?
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:32pm Brian in UK:

Nice one Amanda!! Rain settled in here. Glad I got the dog walk in earlier.
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:34pm Doug Schulkind:

Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:39pm Amanda:

When are we going to get a studio M?
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:39pm Brian in UK:

Volume 11 subtitled My Tattooed Wife.
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:41pm northguineahills:

Never heard of Glen Pine. Thoroughly enjoyed him.
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:44pm Doug Schulkind:

Actually, one person (who shall remain unnamed for now) who is in the works for doing a show on the stream was moving to Portland, Maine, this summer—but then had a change of plans.
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:46pm Doug Schulkind:

...about the moving, not the show, which is still in the pipeline.
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:47pm Amanda:

Verrrrry interestinggggg. (tents fingers)
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:52pm ndbob:

nice song here
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:57pm Brian in UK:

Great mix today, Amanda. (W)ell done!
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:57pm ndbob:

Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:58pm northguineahills:

It's rare treat to catch your whole show in full on Wednesdays, Thanks again, Amanda!
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 1:58pm fleep:

Thanks, Amanda!
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 2:00pm Matt from Springfield:

Peace out, Amanda and Scenarians! (And fans of whichever sectarian persuasion ;)
Avatar Wed. 6/12/13 2:03pm Amanda:

Thanks so much, everyone, for listening! That goes for everyone whose name I neglected to mention! I will see you all next week. xox
