September 16, 2002: A sweet 16th transmission, and a Pedal Steel Transmission (live) to boot.
Sometime in September sixteen years ago I began my on-air love affair with WFMU. My first time on-air didn't really count-- I was a last-minute co-host on Beth Murphy's marathon show because the person scheduled didn't show up (his wife had a baby the night before). My first real fill-in was for Margaret Harris and I was a nervous wreck. I guess I didn't sound too stupid, because amazingly I was asked back! And here I am, 16 years later, still doing what I love.
