hey, can anybody remember off of the top of their head the formula for determining how many different combinations of numbers there are? for example, if i have a combination lock that has numbers from 1 - 40 on the dial, and i need to dial in three numbers to open the lock.
Avatar Sat. 4/27/13 11:40am Mike East:

Dunno Glenn...think it involve a factorial!

Avatar Sat. 4/27/13 11:41am Mike Sin:

re: bank interest rates
yes -- savings and checking accounts next to nil, but it's also a crazy time to get a 30-year, fixed mortgage for 3.5%. Probably won't see that again in our lifetimes.
Avatar Sat. 4/27/13 11:41am CTEmpress:

I don't care who does this song Under My Thumb SUCKS
Avatar Sat. 4/27/13 11:42am Mike Sin:

@ glenn -- 40x40x40 if the numbers are able to repeat?
Avatar Sat. 4/27/13 11:43am G:

it's kind of a creepy lyric. rolling stones trying maybe too hard to be transgressive. roe does well with it, though
Avatar Sat. 4/27/13 11:43am G:

Avatar Sat. 4/27/13 11:46am glenn:

i'm just curious.

I once saw an inteview Paul Schaffer did with Keith Richards.. He asked him how he could put so many different hooks/riffs in a song like "19th Nervous Breakdown". Richards said he was afraid he'd forget them if he didn't use them.

Thanks for the George Jones. Its amazing.

Saw him on his last tour. He was obviously dying. Didn't perform badly, but not well. Still, maybe he made some bucks for family and band. That's OK with me.
