Folkways was so amazing. Thanks for playing the underwater sounds! By coincidence, I was just reading about the Fugs 1st LP on Folkways. I knew about it, but didn't know it was originally titled "The Village Fugs Sing Ballads of Contemporary Protest, Points of View, and General Dissemination!"

Avatar Tue. 3/12/13 2:13am Minnesota Jeff:

Mendota Heights, just over the river on the south side of St. Paul.

Mendota Heights = Current home of Grant Hart from Husker Du!

Avatar Tue. 3/12/13 2:17am Mike from MPLS:

Funny story...a friend of mine has a restraining order from him based on an incident involving an apartment of his on Hennepin and Franklin in Uptown. Probably not his primary residence...but I don't know his financial situation.
  Tue. 3/12/13 2:18am Martha:

And You Minnesota folks - quit hogging the comments board!
Avatar Tue. 3/12/13 2:19am jeff-m:

Avatar Tue. 3/12/13 2:20am Mike from MPLS:

The historical relevance of grant heart's restraining orders demand to be recorded on these boards!
Avatar Tue. 3/12/13 2:21am Mike from MPLS:

St Paul is like the Boston of NY
Avatar Tue. 3/12/13 2:23am Minnesota Jeff:

What, come on man! We'd probably be more like the Jersey City of NYC. Right next door, water between, not considered as "cool" less tall buildings.
Avatar Tue. 3/12/13 2:24am Mike from MPLS:

I used Boston because of the history
Avatar Tue. 3/12/13 2:27am jeff-m:

does the Mississippi river divide them? or another river?
Avatar Tue. 3/12/13 2:28am Minnesota Jeff:

Its not a 100% split, but essentially yes.
Avatar Tue. 3/12/13 2:29am Minnesota Jeff:

And yes, its the Mississippi.
Avatar Tue. 3/12/13 2:29am Adam in Portland and Lynnwood:

I had a fella come to the door of a rental house I lived in when I first moved to Portland with a bag of thawed beef. No joke! Didn't buy! He lived in a field across the street. Nice enough fella. Not a great salesman!
Avatar Tue. 3/12/13 2:32am Adam in Portland and Lynnwood:

I think the guys in Carcass would have given him a very stern talking to.
Avatar Tue. 3/12/13 2:35am Mike from MPLS:

Win!
Avatar Tue. 3/12/13 2:35am Adam in Portland and Lynnwood:

Avatar Tue. 3/12/13 2:36am Minnesota Jeff:
