I missed the mic break, looking into the Logos M&M Robot orchestra, seems the robot musicians are triggered by dancing nude humans? neat!

I am embraced as if by a flotilla of calamari (in a tempura batter).
Avatar    Tue. 3/12/13 12:45pm Brian Trauma:

@Jeremy do you think the robots riders was to exclude any skin coloured people?
Avatar Tue. 3/12/13 12:46pm Tony Coulter:

@ Jeremy: Yes, the robots do get their groove on in response to dancing nudies. Saw it with my own eyes when I visited the Logos Foundation in 2011.

The other week I fired off the opening line of Noises for the Leg to Bill Mac on his show for no perticler reason. He came back immediately with a knowing answer. Just now I was emailing him and the Bonzoes come on. The point is where on the radio can this happen, interaction with DJs; an unsurpassed knowledge that does not bore but is intelligent and worthwhile. A unique resource that must be treasured and protected.
Pay up brothers and sisters.

...geez, that's a lot of garbanzo beans...[Digging in pocket]...
Avatar Tue. 3/12/13 1:38pm Tony Coulter:

My comment above -- about what I had in mind -- was referring to "Out Demons Out!" -- not Irwin's bed (music)!
Avatar    Tue. 3/12/13 1:38pm Snortley:

Garbanzo beans or chick peas? Are they beans or peas? The ambivalent legume.

The biggest prize of all is bearing able to hear Tony's show again! After moving away from NYC and losing his airslot on WFMU, it seemed as if Tony was silenced. BUT NO!!

WFMU itself came to the rescue and invented Give the Drummer Radio to give Tony's remarkable and unique ear for music a happy home.

Please pledge and ensure that Tony's program continues to have this platform for reaching us all.
Avatar Tue. 3/12/13 1:59pm Doug Schulkind:

PLEDGE UPDATE...PLEDGE UPDATE...
We are now 52% of the way toward reaching the goal for this show.

A single "Mouse of Today" (dollar-a-day: $365) pledge will push us over the top. If you haven't pledged yet. Now would be a WONDERFUL time to do so. Any pledge of $120 comes with the option of paying it in monthly installments. $10 a month for the next year seems eminently reasonable, no?!
Avatar    Tue. 3/12/13 2:03pm Uncle Michael:

I'm going to be attempting to execute David Soul's recipe for Black Bean Soup.
Avatar Tue. 3/12/13 2:06pm Tony Coulter:

Avatar Tue. 3/12/13 2:07pm Doug Schulkind:

Pledges of $180 or more automatically earn any THREE DJ premiums. Of course, you could just get three of Tony's!

Thanks so much, James!
Tue. 3/12/13 2:07pm James of Chicago:

Thank you, Tony.

Avatar Tue. 3/12/13 2:28pm Jeremy N:

The Brian Chase sounded fine here. I think that the laptop speakers are incapable of bass so rather than distorting it simply removes it entirely...

That 47% number you see on the other pledge box represents WFMU's overall goal. As you can see, the station is well behind. The Marathon ends a midnight on Sunday. Please do keep pledging! Use Tony's pledge box and your gift will be recognized as a pledge in honor of Tony Coulter — but it all goes to the station. Of course!

There's 18 minutes left in the show. No need to stop pledging now! Defy all logic and the laws of mathematics by making my total MORE than the goal!!!
Avatar Tue. 3/12/13 2:43pm Doug Schulkind:

After Tony's show ends (in 18 minutes) take a nap and get ready for two more shows, LIVE, here on your 24-hour Drummer Stream.

Give the Drummer Some (6-7pm, ET) and Kaminsky Kamoutsky (7-9pm, ET)

Keep tuned in! Keep enjoying! Keep pledging!
