Hello ndbob!
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 5:59pm Uncle Michael:

I'm picturing the weird dog reading that sign and thinking..."ok, what?"
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 5:59pm ndbob:

hello Michael!
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 6:00pm Doug Schulkind:

Ah, so YOU can read the sign, Uncle Michael! Down boy.
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 6:00pm Uncle Michael:

Hi Bob (takes a drink).
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 6:01pm Uncle Michael:

I seldom get to listen to the Tuesday show. Today was the snow day that wasn't.
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 6:04pm Doug Schulkind:

Esteemed to be in your Tuesday company.
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 6:05pm Uncle Michael:

Likewise, sir. Take a chanson moi...et moi, et moi, et moi...
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 6:06pm Holly in NC:

Hi Doug, Uncle Michael, ndbob!

@Doug - The Miner has been allowed to stay in my good care for another year xo

@UncleMichael - No luck re organ grinder pizza yet. but I am NOT giving up.

Getting in car, back ... soon? Internet is iffy everywhere I've been today perhaps due to nigh-constant wind & rain
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 6:08pm Artie:

nice doggy...
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 6:09pm Doug Schulkind:

Oh Holly! I'm thrilled and the Miner is plotzing! Lunchbox remains in the place of honour!
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 6:09pm ndbob:

Heya Holly!
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 6:10pm Uncle Michael:

I spent some time seeking the organ grinder too, Holly. I'm also seeking something else the miner once unearthed for which the links have since ossified.
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 6:10pm Doug Schulkind:

Arf to you, Artie!
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 6:11pm Uncle Michael:

Is it true that Serge was the first World's Most Interesting Man?
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 6:11pm ndbob:

Heya Artie!
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 6:11pm Parq:

Sorry I'm late. Struck in traffic. Please take corny french accent as read.
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 6:12pm Uncle Michael:

What hit you, Parq?
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 6:12pm Parq:

Also, if this Serge is going to turn into one of those "The Hills Are Alive with the Sound of Moaning" records, you may assume I'm blushing.
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 6:12pm ndbob:

Heya Parq!
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 6:14pm Doug Schulkind:

Only the Serge songs with his daughter semi-naked and moaning in the background...
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 6:17pm Holly in NC:

@UncleMichael - pray tell? I have a LOT of archived motherlode & other material....

Hi Artie!
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 6:18pm Doug Schulkind:

I would like to be reincarnated as Colette Magny. (Or she as me, whichever's easier.)
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 6:18pm Parq:

Uh, "his daughter semi-naked and moaning"?? Uncle Michael, *that's* what hit me.
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 6:18pm Doug Schulkind:

The wonderful Louis Sclavis plays soprano sax and bass clarinet on this LP.
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 6:19pm Uncle Michael:

A Lincoln Chase track was on my marathon premium CD last year!

Howdy NGH!
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 6:29pm Uncle Michael:

@Doug, you blogged that album more than once! Unfortunately, the links are past their sell-by date. Which track did you feature?
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 6:32pm Doug Schulkind:

@UM
"The Woods Are Full." It's a collection of songs about insanity.
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 6:33pm Uncle Michael:

Lincoln Lincoln bo bincoln. Banana fana fo fincoln. Fe fi fo fincoln. LINCOLN! Now that's insanity.
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 6:36pm Uncle Michael:

This is unexpected.
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 6:37pm Uncle Michael:

Did he mention Jacques Dutronc?
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 6:37pm Hugo:

Le musichien n'est pas bizarre!
Avatar Tue. 2/26/13 6:38pm Uncle Michael:

Why do I feel like surrendering to some cheese? Great fun, Doug. You have a lot of Gaul.
Avatar Wed. 2/27/13 9:35am Van in DC:

French for no good reason, why not? Sounds great! Let's snow! Er go!
Avatar Wed. 2/27/13 9:50am Van in DC:

So about 11 minutes in to the show, Jojo?, is that crying or something on the actual recording?
Avatar Wed. 2/27/13 10:26am Doug Schulkind:

@Van
Whatever you were hearing was on the recording. Tears would not be unusual as the song was written upon the death of his dear friend Georges Pasquier ("Jojo").
Avatar Wed. 2/27/13 11:47am Van in DC:

Good show! Don't speak a word of French but I enjoyed the music anyways!
