Good afternoon Rex, unfortunately I have to leave soon, but it's for a good cause: live music
  1:07pm Dave in PA:

How did the sax players get that gritty grinding tone? Surely the forerunner of the modern distorted lead guitar!
  1:09pm tony in durham nc:

Is that the new Crazy Horse album?
  1:13pm tony in durham nc:

I'm referring to War Paint, of course...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15pm Greg from Bloomfield:

I know next to nothing about Crazy Horse, but I know that they never made a song as good as "War Paint."
Avatar 1:16pm Juke Joint Jonny:

I'll be drinking my martini out of a baby bottle tonight in honor of Baby Leroy and his arch-nemesis W.C. Fields.
Avatar 🌮 Swag For Life Member 1:17pm ChrisB.:

Baby Leroy: a star at 8 months, a has-been at 4.
Avatar 1:26pm nicky the skootch:

ah, paradise. my favorite place to be on a saturday!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:30pm Greg from Bloomfield:

I wonder if Don Draper pitched that Mountain Dew ad...
Avatar 🌮 1:36pm Tony in Durham NC:

Yeeeeeeeeee-Hawwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!
Avatar 1:36pm Green Mountain Man Mark:

we had a seed swap today in town. i got a few corn seeds, broccoli, various beans, and some rice. never planted rice before. they also had several crockpots full of yummy soups and stews. and good bread.
  1:37pm ChooChoo - ATL:

Enjoying the show today!
  1:39pm Nate:

Greatest rock n roll show ever, Rex!
  1:46pm Jeff in Puna Hawaii:

Aloha from the Pacific, Rex. Best Saturdaywakeup music this morning
Avatar 1:57pm Joe B:

Bucket O Blood, what a find! Hey Rex, show great as usual!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:58pm Greg from Bloomfield:

Do you think "Bucket O Blood" has anything to do with the Corman movie?
  1:58pm zotz:

Canadian Ace? Dang, I drank that...they make Black Label too..which is even worse. So if anyone asks you if there's a beer worse than Pabst, there it is. But the worst beer in the world is Koch's Golden Anniversary - 5$ a case. You can taste the formaldehyde. I lived in Buffalo, I oughta know.
  2:03pm zotz:

Good show, welcome break from the En-Pay-Arf.
Avatar 2:03pm Joe B:

Canadian Ace had a big plant in North Bergen, i think, or somewhere around here, despite their name, weren't Canadian!
  2:06pm zotz:

Carling was the firm I believe.
Avatar 2:09pm Green Mountain Man Mark:

Recently I was traveling in northern NY and they have these convenience stores Stewart's. They have their own beer in cans for about $2 a six pack.
  2:10pm zotz:

How was it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:12pm Greg from Bloomfield:

Whoa, Stewart's has beer? Like Stewart's the soda people?
Avatar 🌮 2:14pm Tony in Durham NC:

Canadian Ace was the former Manhattan Brewing Co from Chicago, owned by Al Capone. Yikes!
  2:15pm Elias:

Another rust belt fave...Old Dutch, with "THE GOOD BEER" proudly displayed on the can.
  2:15pm SFfrom SF:

Cincinnati's Burger Beer is the worst--hands down. I'm sure many will disagree but, trust me, it is (or was) bad.
  2:16pm zotz:

Beefy aftertaste?
Avatar 🌮 Swag For Life Member 2:16pm Rob (from Mt Hope):

Stewart's used to be a 'hot dog/ beer' stand. had one on 17 N outside of Moonachie, NJ. Now Stewarts is a convenience store, in NY they can sell beer, unlike the package stores of NJ
Avatar 2:17pm Green Mountain Man Mark:

I had beer in S Korea that had a tiny amount of formaldehyde in it or so they said.
  2:17pm zotz:

Anyone old enough to remember 3.2 beer?
  2:18pm Elias:

I lived in a town where all they could serve was 3.2!
  2:18pm zotz:

Formaldehyde hastens fermentation.
Avatar 2:18pm Green Mountain Man Mark:

Anytime you find a beer that boasts on its label "with pulp!" you know that kind is for breakfast.
Avatar 🌮 2:19pm Snortley:

In south Brooklyn the delis often have some kind of Baltic brew for 75 cents to a dollar a pint. Tends to taste like watered-down paint thinner.
  2:19pm zotz:

I think ancient Egyptian beer was pulpy..
Avatar 2:20pm ken in denver:

You mean there's worse beer than Schlitz?
  2:21pm zotz:

Oh yes!
  2:23pm Nate:

Milwaukee's Beast or Pearl beer for me!
Avatar 🌮 Swag For Life Member 2:23pm Mike East:

These comments are making me thirsty. Now's as good a time as any. Cheers everybody!
  2:24pm zotz:

I had a friend who was the Hamm's beer bear in college...
  2:25pm Nate:

Nothing beats a sleeper, NOTHING!
  2:29pm zotz:

All you good folks stay warm! Thanks for the sides DJ!
Avatar 2:30pm Debbie D.:

How about a Little Pink Mack?
Avatar 2:30pm ken in denver:

Oh, yeah, Hamm's. That was pretty bad too. Some bars around here still have their cool '50s mobile signs, though.
  2:31pm moose:

we used to sing this in summercamp did everyone ?
Avatar 2:33pm Green Mountain Man Mark:

One time I was driving around and it was really hot out in mid summer. I wanted to have a beer. I thought of reaching under the seat and sure enough there were a couple of unopened cans under there. I drank them. They were so hot like coffee but I drank them anyway.
Avatar 🌮 Swag For Life Member 2:37pm Rob (from Mt Hope):

buddy in Salt Lake City can only get 3.2 (Coors light), Oklahoma also had 3.2 domestic, buy Heiny's, full strength

Mmmm...I could sure go for some Buzzard Loaf right now.
