Favoriting January 17, 2013: Live music from PLUMERAI!

Boston’s Plumerai has been making music since 2004; reinventing themselves in early 2012 with new vocalist Eliza Brown and drummer Mickey Vershbow joining brothers Martin Newman on guitars/keyboards and James Newman on bass. This new incarnation weaves indie, post punk, dreampop, darkwave & shoegaze styles into a cohesive & original sound which builds on their established moody atmosphere. Their recently released album, “Mondegreen,” is a sophisticated mixture of layered guitars, melodic bass lines, and driving rhythms, accompanied by seductively jazzy vocals. Hear them live on tonight's show!

I was too discombobulated to pick other challengers this week, so round 1 continues with more choices next week.
