Mead is usually a love it or hate it proposition. It's typically cloyingly sweet, which puts a lot of people off.

The blistering heat ruined much of our garden this year, but somehow our parsley, sage and thyme are growing gangbusters. Wonderful savory for all my roast fowl and dried bean recipes.

Apparently Rosemary doesn't care for our soil. Tried a couple of years, but some sort of local ant overruns the plant.

Scotch bonnets are the chilies used in Jamaican cuisine. Pretty darn spicy (even more so b/c of the heat of this last summer), but also very flavorful w/ a hint of sweetness.

I've never had much luck w/ rosemary, swings in temp and rain and drought means it usually dies before I can harvest it.
