  Mon. 8/20/12 3:36pm Dave B:

  Mon. 8/20/12 3:37pm BSI:

Mon. 8/20/12 3:37pm tim from champaign:

I got some Champipple. That's champagne and ripple. Fred G. Sanford hipped me to it.
  Mon. 8/20/12 3:38pm Parq:

<blushing>
  Mon. 8/20/12 3:38pm DCE:

well hello, everybody. I have been quite busy today, but I hope to have some spare moments in which to make comments when apropos.
  Mon. 8/20/12 3:38pm DCE:

Like now.
  Mon. 8/20/12 3:39pm Cheri Pi:

I like the idea of Champipple very much!
  Mon. 8/20/12 3:43pm still b/p:

Had no reason to think about Phyllis Diller recently. But when I looked up some quick info on Mimi Pond, a scheduled 7SD guest this week, I found her cartoon and comments on Phyllis Diller. That was a few hours ago. Now Phyllis Diller is dead.
  Mon. 8/20/12 3:45pm Honey Water:

@Carm: Your wife would have been proud of my bank moment earlier this afternoon. Round two a TKO to me! :)
  Mon. 8/20/12 3:46pm DCE:

nice Mac track
  Mon. 8/20/12 3:49pm Honey Water:

Um, Tim, are you passing that bottle around?
  Mon. 8/20/12 3:51pm still b/p:

YES! Delicious!
  Mon. 8/20/12 3:51pm Honey Water:

@s b/p: :( Philo told me at lunch that producer Tony Scott (Ridley's brother) launched himself from a bridge.
Mon. 8/20/12 3:51pm tim from champaign:

Yeah, here you go. Have a belt.
  Mon. 8/20/12 3:51pm DCE:

Jim Backus and that laugh...
  Mon. 8/20/12 3:51pm BSI:

This Backus & Diller thing would work perfectly with Ken Nordine's "Hunger is From" ... but this is unbelievably cool...
  Mon. 8/20/12 3:52pm don:

heyo scott and peoples. i like it too!
  Mon. 8/20/12 3:53pm Honey Water:

TY, Tim. [glug, glug] A David against Goliath victory swig! Whom do I pass to next?
  Mon. 8/20/12 3:55pm Bas, NL:

Big hello to everybody! I feel in the mood to do some serious listening today.. Play those records, Scott!! ;)
  Mon. 8/20/12 3:56pm still b/p:

Scott parked, climbed a fence, jumped. Left a note. Diller, Scott and...whom for the tired ol' trifecta trope?
  Mon. 8/20/12 3:56pm common:

Oh man! Phyllis!
  Mon. 8/20/12 3:57pm Honey Water:

Hands across the water -- here you go, Bas! Some champipipple courtesy of Tim from Champaign.
  Mon. 8/20/12 3:57pm Honey Water:

95 vs. 68, a bit of perspective.
  Mon. 8/20/12 3:58pm Carmichael:

Nice work, Honey. I'm still in fighting mode, floating like a butterfly.
Also Scott, Scott McKenzie just passed on. Hope he finds his own San Francisco.
  Mon. 8/20/12 3:58pm DCE:

so let's get some of that Kaos aux going on then!
  Mon. 8/20/12 3:59pm Cheri Pi:

happy birthday to Dave Brock, Ralf Hütter & Dimebag Darrel in happier news.
  Mon. 8/20/12 3:59pm Honey Water:

[burp] Ooops, that s.b. champipple. The extra syllable courtesy of the talkative bubbly.
  Mon. 8/20/12 3:59pm Honey Water:

And John Hiatt -- his 60th milestone!
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:00pm Bas, NL:

I once built a Kaoss pad in the body of a guitar.. warp while you play: awesome effects!!
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:01pm Bas, NL:

@Honey Water: Cheers!! ;D
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:01pm ambrose:

Hey Scott, does the studio have the old silver KP-1 Kaoss Pad, or the downsized version? I've often used mine in a send/return config on a Mackie 1202-VLZ. At worst, you can kind of hear the grid steps when you sweep certain effects, and it produces quite a bit of bg noise.
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:02pm still b/p:

That talkover music a moment ago....
Pipple,
Pipple who champipple,
Are the lushiest pipple...
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:03pm Honey Water:

@Carm: Well, that's one down and still one to go for me. Still don't know how I missed the headline "Banks Declare War on Depositors!"
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:03pm BSI:

Cheri: whut? I saw a post somewhere on Brock's birthday a week or two ago and went all facebook with it. Now I'm clearly a mis-informed hack. Some fan I turned out to be. Commence space-pouting....
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:03pm Honey Water:

Heh, s b/p! Thank goodness the world is still blessed by your presence and cleverness.
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:04pm ambrose:

The KP-1's larger pad made it a decent guitar effect unit, as you can work the pad easily with your toes. Try it sometime. It sounds great with my old Danelectro and a Tube Screamer.
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:05pm Cheri Pi:

@BSI- here's one source: http://ibirthdayworld.blogspot.com/2010/08/celebrity-birthdays-on-august-20.html
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:06pm Cheri Pi:

what???Phil Lynott was born on August 20, 1949. !!!
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:06pm Carmichael:

I didn't know Dimebag Darryl was still alive.
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:08pm BSI:

Thanks CP. It effectively makes me some kind of space-rock stalker from birth, since his birthday is one week after mine, and my last name is eerily close to his band, etc... dang.
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:09pm Cheri Pi:

that's because you're a silver machine BSI!
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:12pm BSI:

...time we left this world today...
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:12pm Honey Water:

Frogs!
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:15pm northguineahills:

Spectre Folk are great.
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:22pm Jorge:

Salutes from sunny as hell Spain Scott and Spectre Folk are indeed awesome.
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:23pm Honey Water:

So glad Europe is finally enjoying some great weather! Lifts everyone's spirits I've noticed.
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:29pm Jorge:

@honeyWater is a little bit more than we were expecting actually but im ok with that, the beach is pretty close so that helps
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:31pm Bas, NL:

We had a record 95°F yesterday.. i had a nice and slowwww day!
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:32pm Jorge:

Bas i will be in Amsterdam and Tilburg during the first week of September, i need some advice about outfit.
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:34pm BSI:

jeezus. I want autumn so badly... Just the sight of a medium-weight dark brown jacket at a thrift store this weekend made me want to weep openly... Those soul-tearing, deep wracking sobs that seem rooted somewhere down in the primitive depths of birth-trauma...
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:36pm DCE:

I had some nice autumnal-type camping in the hills of Western Maryland this weekend. Heat be damned!
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:36pm still b/p:

You need a "Burning Leafpile" scented candle. Just go back....go back...
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:36pm Bas, NL:

@Jorge: What do you need to know?
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:38pm Jorge:

@Bas just whats the weather like in september, never been there before.
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:38pm Honey Water:

Oh, sorry. I kept hearing "sunny!" all day from those across the water but, yeah, we're *very* familiar with too much of a good thing here in the midwest.
@BSI: Won't exactly be autumn, but you just might get our overnight temps in the 50s -- delicious! -- tomorrow if not already.
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:40pm BSI:

Close, HoneyWater, so close... And DCE: if you were up Catoctin Mtn Park or thereabouts (near Thurmont MD), them's my primal stomping grounds. Favorite place to be whenever Autumn DOES finally hit...
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:41pm DCE:

Deep Creek Lake. Nice area.
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:42pm Bas, NL:

@Jorge: It's been really warm last few years, so i'm sure you're fine with at most a light jacket for the nights.
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:44pm Jorge:

@Bas, really nice since i really have to travel "light"
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:47pm Cheri Pi:

this Danish Psyche is doing the right things to me
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:51pm Cheri Pi:

I just heard fear in your voice Scott.
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:53pm Carmichael:

OK, back again. Beta Band! Nice call, Scott.
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:54pm Cheri Pi:

describing ladies night
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:55pm Ike:

Yep. That should make anybody frightened.
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:57pm Cheri Pi:

Norwegian Ian Curtis! You go w/ your bad self.
  Mon. 8/20/12 4:59pm moose:

i'm in here too
sounds so good, glad to have made it for the second half
  Mon. 8/20/12 5:01pm paula pc:

where has this fjose track been all my life??
Avatar Mon. 8/20/12 5:01pm Scott W:

Sorry I'm a little offlist here today folks, giving myself too much shit tado!
Mon. 8/20/12 5:02pm Mark in VT:

I got box full of marathon swag over the weekend. For some reason John Allen's shot glass was checked off as sent but not in the box. Hmm. It is either a message/reminder to me no drinky or one of the volunteers used it to take some shots and got so spinned forgot to put it in the box. Because there was a paper wrapper with nothing in it kinda wrapped like it was supposed to have a shot glass in it.
  Mon. 8/20/12 5:08pm Honey Water:

To sum up: Shot Not Got.
  Mon. 8/20/12 5:12pm Rodri:

Love the Fjose tune, Thanks like always!!
  Mon. 8/20/12 5:14pm Rodri:

Aguaturbia continue playing in Chile, they are the coolest Chilean 60s band that play in our years...
Avatar Mon. 8/20/12 5:15pm Scott W:

Ack! Sorry Mark, email me offlist & I'll make sure you get the shotglass this week
Mon. 8/20/12 5:16pm Mark in VT:

Oh I don't care about the glass. Just thought it was funny. The swag is very generous.
  Mon. 8/20/12 5:17pm Honey Water:

Welp, gotta go whip up some jambalaya. Dinner decision a direct result from seeing Beasts of the Southern Wild this weekend. I'll be kitchen-listening -- thanks, Scott!

Chow-ciao to y'all!
Mon. 8/20/12 5:28pm Mark in VT:

I mean I do care about the glass because it is special from John's swag but I mean I don't like need it sent. I always feel humbled when the swag comes because it is a lot for what pledged. You get to give money to something you love already unconditionally AND you get stuff in return.
  Mon. 8/20/12 5:32pm Carmichael:

Is that the Who buried in the background?
Avatar Mon. 8/20/12 5:37pm Scott W:

it was
  Mon. 8/20/12 5:41pm Carmichael:

Sheez, I'm some kind of freak savant instant recall guy, I guess. Thanks Scott!
  Mon. 8/20/12 5:46pm don:

shits got gallop
Mon. 8/20/12 5:47pm the glowing one:

I just tuned in, how was Jim Price's show today?
  Mon. 8/20/12 5:52pm menefreghista:

jpm production
  Mon. 8/20/12 5:54pm BSI:

damn, bro. I turn my back for a minute & you bring out the Vas Deferens Org... Wicked fun show today, captain.
Mon. 8/20/12 5:55pm Mark in VT:

Sounds like AC/DC is buried underneath this.
Mon. 8/20/12 6:00pm the glowing one:

Seems there's a radio DJ buried underneath there, too.
  Mon. 8/20/12 6:01pm Bas, NL:

Thanks Scott!
  Mon. 8/20/12 10:02pm Stanley:

I'm the meat guy!
  Mon. 8/20/12 10:21pm Stanley:

Stop Children is my new groove they help me get my jollies.
  Wed. 9/5/12 7:12am raga:

Fjose falls squarely into the category of, "I have no idea what on earth is going on here but I absolutely love it!"
  Thu. 10/4/12 2:32pm bug chimp:

actually, the interwebs indicate the the name of the band is "Holy Toy" and "Fjøse" is the name of the album.
