Ike - you mean Indian food on Lexington Ave. in the 20s? I don't have a specific place there but I was thinking, well, that could be something to do before checking out the Brazilian fiddler Elano Braz at the Caulfield which is on E 27th btw Park and Lex. He plays there Sunday nights at 7. |

None of those Japanese places have ever really done it for me, but maybe I just don't like most Japanese food. (I did eat at a really great Japanese place in Phoenix once, of all places, though!) But I like Sigiri, the Sri Lankan place on 1st Ave. | |

The Indian places are tricky -- inconsistent and can go downhill really quickly -- the owners are apparently always fighting with their chefs. Saravanaas was great once, and another time really boring. Sri Ganesh's Dosa House is usually reliable for dosas in Jersey City though, if you like dosas. | |
