  Tue. 7/17/12 6:06pm JSF:

Who are we interviewing today? I didn't hear who it is.
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:07pm Kenzo:

Harlan Ellison!!
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:09pm kat330:

Tick tock!
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:10pm kat330:

Sturgeon's my idol -- Ellison was mentored by Kilgore Trout [Sturgeon].
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:12pm JSF:

Wow! Harlan Ellison?!?! Thanks!
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:14pm kat330:

Cheech, heh!
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:14pm kat330:

City on the Edge of Forever.
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:24pm Philo Gristle:

Kudos to Norton for pushing Harlan to release this stuff. He's a great interview.
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:25pm Danne D:

Outstanding :D
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:25pm kat330:

Wages of Fear -- such a fine film!
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:25pm Danne D:

Harlan not filing taxes for a decade dovetails well with the Angry Accountant being on later
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:26pm Fredericks:

Repent, Harlequin!
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:27pm Philo Gristle:

Harlan can hold a grudge like nobody's business! Dreams with Sharp Teeth is a great doc on the great man.
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:29pm Danne D:

I have to say I'm impressed with being able to hold a 40-year grudge.
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:29pm kat330:

Outsiders -- he's preaching to the FMU choir.
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:30pm kat330:

@Danne: Ellison is famous for his temper. A very short fuse.
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:32pm kat330:

His early mention of Charlie Sheen-caused helicopter traffic, I was thinking of the connection in all that with anger management. Though it does sound like he's mellowed a tad. Guess his heart thanks him for that. :)
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:33pm Ike:

I wonder if Ellison likes SF author Charles Stross.

Also, fans of Doctor Who remember Ellison for saying, in the 70s, "Star Trek can turn your brains to puree of bat guano... the greatest science fiction series of all time is Doctor Who! And I’ll take you all on, one-by-one or all in a bunch to back it up!" Maybe because the Doctor is an oddball outsider.
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:34pm dvd:

nice
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:34pm Philo Gristle:

I bet Stross likes Harlan, unless he's friends with Chris Priest.
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:35pm Kenzo:

Don't fuck with Harlan Ellison.

  Tue. 7/17/12 6:36pm ?:

Since PULLING A TRAIN is about sex, ask Harlan about sex... how the view of it has changed in American culture since this book was first published.
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:36pm kat330:

Spock was also an oddball outsider.
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:37pm Labor Relations:

WOW. Yeah, that'll get you fired.
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:38pm Labor Relations:

Whew, actual "pink slip"--it's been a while since I've seen one of them.
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:38pm kat330:

Thanks for the link, Kenzo!
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:39pm Danne D:

Kids love eating paste too.
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:39pm Danne D:

Yes, thanks Kenzo!
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:40pm kat330:

Heh, we own a switchblade comb/brush dingus already.
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:41pm Kenzo:

Pay the Writer: (one of my favorite rants ever)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mj5IV23g-fE
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:42pm kat330:

Heh!! BUt what do you think of her *sister* as a writer? :)
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:43pm uranus:

This guy is the greatest. He came to my cow-town high school in Poway, California around 1971-2, blessed us with a great talk and changed my life. He pointed at me and said, "You look like Bob Dylan". I think of that day all the time.
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:48pm kat330:

Chris, could you ask him about his relationship w/ roommate Sturgeon?
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:49pm kat330:

Fuck. Always the case, too late.
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:49pm ?:

Ask Harlan which works he's most pleased with.
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:53pm kat330:

The L. Ron Hubbard question, please? He never heard you.
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:54pm kat330:

THAT's what I wanted to hear! :)
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:55pm amEdeo:

Hah. That Forrest J. Ackerman thing was fantastic.
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:55pm kat330:

Yes! Thank you, Chris!
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:57pm kat330:

He seemed perfectly sane when I met him in '78.
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:59pm kat330:

Thank you, Harlan, and thank you, Chris! Later all...tick tock.
  Tue. 7/17/12 6:59pm Philo Gristle:

Go Harlan! Thanks Chris for a terrific interview.
  Tue. 7/17/12 7:01pm Danne D:

Great show Chris!
