@Danne: Ellison is famous for his temper. A very short fuse.
|

kat330:
His early mention of Charlie Sheen-caused helicopter traffic, I was thinking of the connection in all that with anger management. Though it does sound like he's mellowed a tad. Guess his heart thanks him for that. :)

Ike:
I wonder if Ellison likes SF author Charles Stross. Also, fans of Doctor Who remember Ellison for saying, in the 70s, "Star Trek can turn your brains to puree of bat guano... the greatest science fiction series of all time is Doctor Who! And I’ll take you all on, one-by-one or all in a bunch to back it up!" Maybe because the Doctor is an oddball outsider.

Since PULLING A TRAIN is about sex, ask Harlan about sex... how the view of it has changed in American culture since this book was first published.

This guy is the greatest. He came to my cow-town high school in Poway, California around 1971-2, blessed us with a great talk and changed my life. He pointed at me and said, "You look like Bob Dylan". I think of that day all the time.
