Listener comments!

  3:03pm
kat330:

Ha, great animation, Jeff!
  3:03pm
kat330:

Hi, Kurt, and every miniature minotaur to arrive!
  3:04pm
steve from cleve:

I'm a mid-sized minotaur, but thanks anyway!
  3:08pm
kal:

Hey, this is weird.
  3:08pm
kat330:

My greetings are always one-size-fits-all. :)
  3:08pm
common:

GREAT animation today...as always
  3:10pm
kat330:

Is the Jason clip in the .gif from his Arsenio Hall appearance? I checked that out to possibly lift something -- as if Jason were going to speak!
  3:11pm
fred:

What exactly did Kurt do to the station's remaining Jason to get him out of the way earlier today?
  3:14pm
kat330:

Could be angry chihuahuas.
  3:15pm
kat330:

Sounds familiar.
  3:22pm
kat330:

Never heard Kurt sound so happy, light and pumped!
  3:24pm
Otis:

for good reason --- its a great set!
  3:24pm
steve from cleve:

now I get it.
  3:27pm
kat330:

triss There you got it!
  3:27pm
kat330:

How appropriate was it that that last post of mine took a math answer of 666. Hm.
  3:30pm
Otis:

specific mathophobia
  3:30pm
Mike East:

Oh man, I missed Philo and Honey?! Nuts. Happy Friday to all!
  3:32pm
kat330:

@Otis: Still I wonder if some other listenerds get that as a sum as frequently as I do.
Avatar 3:32pm
DJKG:

hello everyone - thanks for listening & contributing!
  3:33pm
kat330:

@Mike: You should be ashamed, sir! Thank FMyou for the archives.
  3:35pm
kat330:

Our pleasure on the latter and my pleasure alone on the former, Kurt! Unfortunately, Philo will have to catch it on the archives also.
  3:35pm
Otis:

i rarely have time topost but remember getting 666 in the near past
  3:36pm
kat330:

I think Kenzo or some intern is back there tee-hee-heeing every time that math question is inserted.
  3:38pm
kat330:

This is some truly sick sounds! My back teeth are throbbing.
Avatar 3:38pm
DJKG:

i've noticed a more than statistically plausible number of "666" questions when i post to other shows as well.
  3:40pm
Mike East:

@kat330 - not ashamed, just bummed. Its been a bummer of a day so far, though.
  3:40pm
kat330:

I imagine there's an algorithm to remove it as a possibility altogether -- esp. since it's always (I think) 661 + 5 in my case.
  3:41pm
northguineahills:

The breathing portion reminded me of Gerogerigegege.
  3:42pm
kat330:

Aw, sorry to hear that, Mike. :( I'm only about 80% myself today. But the past 2-3 hours have perked me up a bit.
  3:45pm
kat330:

Oooh, I remember the Nyoukis' from the second round of submissions -- yes?
Avatar 3:46pm
DJKG:

yes, but that time i'd mixed it with another track. this is dylan and elkka alone.
  3:50pm
steve from cleve:

yeah, this is getting really strange...
  3:50pm
steve:

hey kg! awesome show so far.
  3:52pm
Cheri Pi:

I'm a scared-someone paass me the cat!
  3:57pm
kat330:

Technical question, Kurt: How do folks with really long pieces transmit them to you, esp. in .wav format?
Avatar 4:00pm
DJKG:

berangere sent it via wetransfer
  4:00pm
kat330:

OK, thanks, and good to know.
  4:01pm
Carmichael:

Good afternoon Kurt, Jason, Monk and everyone.
  4:06pm
kat330:

Meetings done for the day, Carm?
  4:12pm
Carmichael:

Forever, hopefully. It was a week-long IT style funfest that I had to moderate. Sheesh ....
  4:13pm
Cheri Pi:

Hiya Carms!
  4:14pm
kat330:

T.G.I.F.F. in that case: That's Goodbye to IT Funfest Forever.
  4:15pm
Carmichael:

Yo Cheri!
  4:16pm
sinister dexter:

howdy Kurt and fellow listeners .... greetings from grand rapids michigan ^_^
  4:16pm
Gsus:

This track is awesome!!!
  4:18pm
Carmichael:

Have you tried to play a Gsus13 note (today's theme)? I wouldn't know where to begin ...
  4:19pm
steve from cleve:

begin with the root, of course!
  4:20pm
steve from cleve:

I crave chips and salsa, and all I have at work is old jellybeans.
  4:20pm
kat330:

This is eating someone's face off.
  4:22pm
kat330:

I suppose calling something a "killer track" is a moot point in today's program.
  4:22pm
Mike East:

dang, steve from cleve - I just finished some chips and salsa. I woulda shared 'em with you.
Avatar 4:23pm
DJKG:

kat: ha!
  4:23pm
kat330:

@steve: All the way from the Raygun era?
  4:23pm
steve from cleve:

well, the thought does count, mike!
  4:24pm
steve from cleve:

these are of a vintage of Easter 2012
  4:25pm
Mike East:

now I kinda want some jellybeans.
  4:26pm
kat330:

Deranger Berangere, this is.
  4:26pm
steve from cleve:

let me email you some...will you take the white ones? I can't figure out what they taste like.
  4:27pm
kat330:

To the max.
  4:40pm
Mike East:

yeah, email or fax is fine. I'll take the white ones - just no licorice.
  4:40pm
Gsus:

Is this page not updating anymore or is everyone silenced by these brilliant sounds??
  4:43pm
kat330:

To the Max.
Avatar 4:43pm
DJKG:

they're dead. all dead.
  4:43pm
steve from cleve:

humoring myself on the craigslist musicians wanted page. must have pro attitude.
  4:44pm
kat330:

Haha, DJKG!
  4:44pm
northguineahills:

This part sounds like a Microstoria remix.
  4:45pm
kat330:

@steve: Definitely don't go into it with an am 'tude. ;)
  4:46pm
steve from cleve:

We have a new breast pump willing to sell or tread. let me know what you have and we can talk
  4:46pm
Mike East:

I have a very pro attitude when I'm getting paid for it. Otherwise, it depends on my mood...and how good the band is.
  4:46pm

Kurt...Horsey made a video...hope it works:

i tormented a guy on craiglist when i was back home for a visit in illinois a few years ago. he was looking to sell a used toilet. i wrote him that i was interested but asked him question after question. was it salt water or fresh water? would it work with my australian fixtures that flush the other direction? yeah ... i can be a jerk when i'm bored.
Avatar 4:49pm
DJKG:

cool re horsey! i'll check it out!
  4:51pm
kat330:

@steve: Guess that's a tit for tat barter -- udderly great.
  4:52pm
kat330:

Oooh, my ears!!!
  4:57pm
?:

Craigslist musician ads can be like poetry, I used to save them before I realized it's scary, not funny. This excerpt is from a long, pleading ad by drummer Chris, looking for a band to audition for:

I HAVE NO DRUM SET AND NO WAY OF BUYING ONE RIGHT NOW... PLEASE NO CREEPY PEOPLE JUST TRYING TO FIND SOME PEOPLE TO JAM WITH AT LEAST WHOM HAS A DRUM SET.
  5:03pm
kat330:

This is like a platter of Rice Krispies: snap, crackle and pop.
  5:05pm
Cecile:

Kurt, it sounds like you are trying to phrase your backannouncing like a horn player today.
  5:06pm
kat330:

I hear Glenn mentioned most every time -- go, Glenn, and thank you!
  5:13pm
mosse:

i'm a total craigslist missed connections addict- fascinating and mostly a creep-out. superb show, listening over the real air, goes fine with my single ate mushroom but enough about me
  5:13pm
kat330:

Confession: I never saw a solitary minute of the Friday the 13th film franchise. I know the gist, but not my cuppa cinema experience.
  5:15pm
kat330:

Heh! Cuppa tea!
  5:16pm
insectemily:

Do I look like this?
you did last night.
funny track
Avatar 5:16pm
DJKG:

here's a nice record of love songs written from craigslist ads: www.allaboutjazz.com...
  5:17pm
Mike East:

I'm loving this track. It makes me smile.
  5:19pm
kat330:

My guess is it's more entertaining here than in the original context.
  5:22pm
Cecile:

this is almost as good as the hungover 20 year olds recapping it in the next field when we were picking strawberries 30 some years ago.
  5:22pm
Ike:

Sounds like Volunteer Wrangler Scott. Nice performance. Probably better than the actual actors.
  5:23pm
Julie:

yes Ike I thought the same thing, it has to be
  5:23pm
kat330:

And possibly Amanda N?
  5:31pm
kat330:

Well, guess I didn't really need a spoiler alert since I never expect to see the films. :)
  5:40pm
steve:

is there a whole collection of Scott Williams reenactments? i feel like ive heard some others.
  5:43pm
kat330:

Was just going to type that most submissions were a bit light on the Thelonius theme, I thought, but Monks are modest men -- and then this came on!
  5:44pm
kat330:

Thanks, Cortex Bomb!
Avatar 5:45pm
DJKG:

you know, that's my doing. i'm in more of a vorhees mood and the repeated tracks are coming more from that than monk. cortex bomb through the end will all be repeated tracks.
  5:46pm
kat330:

Well, Kurt, you made a brilliant bloody mess of it! :)
Avatar 5:47pm
DJKG:

aw kat. it's all a you guys who did. i just pushed the buttons!
  5:51pm
kat330:

You must be a monk, Kurt, with such modesty.
  5:55pm
northguineahills:

Great fun! Have a great weekend Kurt!
  5:55pm
Carmichael:

Thanks Kurt, and way to go submitters. Enjoy the cursed day, everyone!
  5:56pm
kat330:

Well, since the room is emptying fast -- have a wonderful weekend everyone! Killer, Kurt! Thanks for the spin and the spins!
