Another selection from "Seasons on Earth", This record, and her other solo LP "Dear Companion", made my "best of" lists for 2011and 2007, respectively. The Baird Sisters have a new record out on Grapefruit Records, "Until You Find Your Green".

Meg said her version was inspired by the great John Martyn. Her version of "The Cruelty of Barbary Allen" on "Dear Companion" is as great a version as you will ever hear, comparable to the one by Shirley Collins on "Sweet England". It takes the rarest and most sensitive singer to cover such a song and render it as indelibly as she has.

A selection from "Dear Companion". Why it took me so long to realize that Meg is a great guitarist is beyond me, but I'm glad that I awaken from time to time! Please buy everything she has ever recorded, or download it, but don't tarry, lest ye be marked evermore a scoundrel.
