You can get WFMU on the NYS Thruway but it's a bit spotty. Once you hit Kingston it's pretty much gone.

Thanks, Ken from Hyde Park. When we were driving and sick of our cds, I thought we'd still be in the 90.1 range. Apparently we were in the fringe of the reception, but we were getting some other station that was playing the Stones and Adult Contemporary rock, and we flipped it off before we heard a break for the call sign.

I love listening to vituoso violinists, most especially Hilary, Sarah Chang, and Joshua Bell. I've seen the latter two in concert at Strathmore - awesome. So in honor of this being a "take it slow day Monday" here...Joshua Bell :)

This album by Hilary & Hauschka is so beautiful! I got to mix/record them for WNYC's Soundcheck/ New Sounds. A piece on them will air soon on Studio 360. Lovely people too!

You can actually get WMFU-FM 90.1 on overlook mountain in Woodstock. The trick with the Catskills is to make sure a mountain is not between you and Mount Hope.
