OTHER MINDS: ODE TO GRAVITY – SEGUE TECH
Introduced in the KPFA Folio with only the brief phrase, “to put side by side, put close together”, this program follows the same formula of other early Ode to Gravity programs by juxtaposing musical selections from a variety of styles and genres. It begins with a Tin Pan Alley song from the 1920s quickly followed by a quirky player piano, an experimental piece for flute and voice, piano rag music, and it only gets better from there.
