Curious about the process...asked last week but I don't think you got to it. Steinski spent 20 hours assembling according to an edit list/plan, or was he findin' and feelin' and reworkin' it as he went? Was it precise or freestyle...or little of both? | |

@still b/p Apologies for missing your query last week. Steinski selected music first, then then wove in spoken word recordings and sound effects and stuff. The segues between each different audio source got messaged, edited, tweaked and screwed with dozens of different ways. Then Steinski record his voiceovers and edited them into the whole mix. He invented the amazing feature of playing a snipped of each track as he back announces so you can remember which track was which. Brilliant! |
