A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Loretta Lynn carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

dale, Daryl Hall singing 'Laughing Boy' live in 1977 I think, was sublime, what a voice. I kind of lost them over the years, never quite understood the distain that they engendered.

RIP Frank Cady (Mr. Drucker.) First Alvy Moore (Mr. Kimball), now him. Is there anyone from Green Acres left?
  Tue. 6/12/12 10:08am Cecile:

H&O were always the top 40 group it was OK for hip kids to like in our neck of the woods. They were close enough to soul and their Todd Rundgren ties didn't hurt, either.
Avatar Tue. 6/12/12 10:08am trouble:

vivian if you are southern then look into farmers in your area and see what they raise, i understand it's best to get a bird who can handle your climate, then you wont stress them out. And we all know what happens when you stress out a bird (at least my neighbors do when my husband startled ginger in the nest box @ 6:30 this morning and she let out such a series of cackles! yikes

Is it as good as Rushmore or The Fantastic Mr. Fox? I love those movies and can't get past them.
Tue. 6/12/12 10:10am Brian in UK:

You know when one has laid an egg, from the racket. RI Reds are good producers that's why the battery people used them crossed.
  Tue. 6/12/12 10:10am Cecile:

not to mention H&O's brief alliance with Robert Fripp.
Tue. 6/12/12 10:11am Brian in UK:

Cecile, I used to have Sacred Songs, now where is it?
  Tue. 6/12/12 10:12am Mike East:

@Cecile - not as good as Rushmore (imho), better than Fantastic Mr. Fox - which is pretty low on the Wes Anderson scale, for me. I think because I didn't read it as a kid, so it didn't feel as precious.
  Tue. 6/12/12 10:12am Cecile:

Check with all your exes. Then, under the dresser.
  Tue. 6/12/12 10:13am Cecile:

I actually liked Owen. He was kind of spazzy energy in a really kind of static energy.
