| As a founding member of the pop purveyors Bubble, Dave Foster moved on to making music with the Losers Lounge. Dave then started hosting "Bubble Do the Beatles" for adults and their children. He's also released a couple of solo albums of power-pop wonderfulness. Mark Humble is a longtime friend and fellow musician, first heard on WFMU's airwaves at the Simon & Garfunkel-inspired duo "Perry Humble." Mark Humble just released CD, One Centre Street, featuring many melodic, moody and often quite funny tunes. Humble has also contributed songs and soundtracks to Scrubs, A&E’s Biography and The Smithsonian Institute. They both dropped by to play a few tunes in WFMU's Love Room. | ||||||

I may have missed other Gibb tributes. Glad I'm able to catch this one. They certainly changed their style as time went on, didn't they?

Nice to hear some older BeeGees. Reading some of the newspaper coverage yesterday, you would have thought they came out of nowhere to do SNF.

Heard this late one night on WOMR 92.1fm (community station) driving out of Provincetown, along the Cape.

Wikipedia: When the Bee Gees wrote the song, they had never been to Massachusetts. The group simply loved the word. The song was written on a boat near the Statue of Liberty.

His "Mother of Love" in 2006 is beautiful. It was his tribute to Maurice and kind of obscure.

Don't know if it is possible to pull off a seque into some tunes from Chuck Brown, Godfather of Go-Go and much missed by those of us in DC

So Irene, you engineered One Centre Street? It's amazing that Mark had it shelved for a decade. I see the connection there to another of your recent guests, The Left Banke....
