A reflexive, traveling radio production. Each show is spontaneous as a backroom deal, a different guest a different location every week. Two hours of trading records with friends, programming without a prepared playlist. Actually, it goes like this: Jesse Kaminsky travels around Providence and the world with a portable radio show, visits a different person every week and makes spontaneous musical exchanges. We agree to call it radio.

Hi Jesse! Always into Finnish & South African weirdness, & my playlist looks fine.

Carryover from Doug's show:
@Glenn : Are you familiar with the drunk texting octopus? Beyond funny (helps if one is familiar with the associated videos, but not at all necessary) http://bit.ly/IGKdLd
  Tue. 5/8/12 7:11pm Sj:

All is audible even from my iPhone
Avatar Tue. 5/8/12 7:11pm jk:

Avatar Tue. 5/8/12 7:14pm jk:

Avatar Tue. 5/8/12 7:17pm Doug S.:

Next week, Jesse gets to wrangle a live play whilst doing the show live. I expect y'all to pepper him with an absurd flood of comments. And mixed metaphors.

Has the bottle been bashed across the bow, yet?
Interesting sculptural sights and radio sounds, jesse.
Avatar Tue. 5/8/12 7:30pm Doug S.:

Rev. Owens played on my show a few years back when I was spinning LPs at the WFMU record fair. That was spectacular.
Avatar Tue. 5/8/12 7:30pm jk:

thanks tr::sh, I think we're tooling around in the harbor tonight.
Tue. 5/8/12 7:32pm Holly in NC:

@Doug - That must have been beyond spectacular!
Avatar Tue. 5/8/12 7:34pm jk:

Doug S, I heard about him playing but I wasn't able to make it down that year, he must be incredible to see
Avatar Tue. 5/8/12 7:34pm jk:

Avatar Tue. 5/8/12 7:35pm Doug S.:

@Holly

  Tue. 5/8/12 7:52pm ndbob:

Yep.. when he lived in D.C. he was a member of the Baltimore Vintage Record Club.. which is still around - a small group of primarily 78 collectors

I can never tell if this Terry Riley or the original until about 40 seconds in.
Avatar Tue. 5/8/12 8:09pm jk:

oh yeah, this is the original version, though so pop length. My ears want to hear moog on there, though
  Tue. 5/8/12 8:09pm Qft:

;)
Avatar Tue. 5/8/12 8:11pm jk:

my ears might want to hear moog on everything, though
  Tue. 5/8/12 8:15pm northguineahills:

Crap, it's Raz as Badawi.... takes me back to the good old Tonic days....
  Tue. 5/8/12 8:17pm Speakout:

Badawi! (I'm mispronouncing it in my head)
Avatar Tue. 5/8/12 8:20pm jk:

thanks Speakout, I think I learned that trick from you.
  Tue. 5/8/12 8:25pm northguineahills:

I'm pretty sure the name of the track is just, "The Heretic". (Looking at the vinly and cd right now).
Avatar Tue. 5/8/12 8:29pm jk:

thanks NGH, the vinyl doesn't say which is side a. Pretty sure I played the 5th song on side a, which discogs says is Enter..., though those are some tenuous connections
  Tue. 5/8/12 8:34pm northguineahills:

I used to dj it a lot when Raz used to hangout at subtonic back in the day, so I asked at one point.
  Tue. 5/8/12 8:34pm northguineahills:

..and this Andy Stott is the tops!
Avatar Tue. 5/8/12 8:39pm Dan in Seattle:

Really enjoying this show.
Avatar Tue. 5/8/12 8:41pm jk:

Hi Dan, thanks! glad to have you!
thanks NGH, my accidental reverb actually might have accentuated that track
Avatar Tue. 5/8/12 8:43pm Martha:

Accidental reverb is the best kind.
Avatar Tue. 5/8/12 8:47pm Candace:

You are knocking it out of the Parksky.
Avatar Tue. 5/8/12 8:48pm jk:

thanks Candace!
reverb not working so much on this one
  Tue. 5/8/12 8:54pm charlie:

Accidental reverb: another good show title.
  Tue. 5/8/12 8:56pm northguineahills:

Great show Jesse, Looking forward to next week.
Avatar Tue. 5/8/12 8:58pm jk:
