Funny coincidence. That story about wedding cookies in Pittsburgh was published in the New York Times THE SAME DAY Jessie and I decided to move to the Steel City! We took it as some kind of sign.

No wedding invites yet, however.

The next "sign" we received occurred a few days later during a visit to Pittsburgh (arranged by Jessie's future employer). We went to the local food coop to check out the scene and the first person we see coming out of the place was wearing a WFMU t-shirt. I almost started crying.

usu put it in a 9x9 pan, then cut it into chunks. mom actually bakes them into mini-loaves (like the ones at boston market) using a special 6-loaf pan thing.

Doug, back to your story about seeing an FMU shirt in Pittsburgh: back in the mid-90s, even before the live audio stream, I made friends with a guy up here in VT because he had an FMU shirt on, and in the local co-op, too!
