Listener comments!

  9:11pm
Richard from Venezuela:

Good evening Martha. Nice to be here.
  9:12pm
Martha:

Nice to have you here as well!
  9:26pm
PB:

This sounds like a cover of a"lost" James Taylor track.
  9:26pm
?:

really like the glass coffin and pestis tracks.
  9:31pm
Martha:

Which was the lost JT track - the Glass Coffin? And glad you are enjoying selection so far!
  9:34pm
PB:

Pretty much anything you've played tonight would qualify. Did you ever read Lester Bangs's piece "James Taylor Marked for Death". A little extreme maybe, but he had a point.
  9:34pm
dave:

(forgot my name up there, oy.)
the backstory for The Anser on eagerproduct.com is almost as awesome as the music.
  9:35pm
Chop Scott:

I'm loving The Anser!
  9:37pm
Richard from Venezuela:

Classic Scott Walker. Maestro.
  9:39pm
PB:

Somehow Scott Walker in the midst of all this chaos seems to work. This track (despite the brutal strings) has a semi-ominous quality to it.
  9:43pm
Martha:

Yes! - I thought the Walker Bros. Track worked nicely in there - and thanks everyone else for your comments and contributions -
  9:56pm
Dan from Toronto:

Delightful set so far, Martha.
  9:58pm
Martha:

Thanks! All!
  9:58pm
PB:

We read the Carbolic Smoke Ball case in first year contracts class in law school.
  10:03pm
doctor b.:

Great show, as usual.
  10:03pm
Martha:

It was a case? - I don't know anything about it - thanks!
  10:04pm
Richard from Venezuela:

Killer tune by Mount Carmel. This song live at wfmu's brian turner show here, courtesy by Free Music Archive: http://goo.gl/KYXTr
  10:14pm
dave:

i've used the carbolic smoke ball as directed for years and i'm healthy as a horse. not even a touch of the croup or neuralgia while those around me drop like flies from the flu. it even cleared up my acne. the judges in carlill were clearly just pawns of big pharma.
  10:14pm
sinister dexter:

howdy Martha , i love your show ... hey out there fellow listeners ... greetings all from grand rapids michigan
  10:18pm
Rob:

please play more of the Anser
bloody brilliant
great show all together
  10:25pm
PB:

Martha, gotta check out but thanks for another fun show.
  10:28pm
Martha:

Hey - thanks for checking in! - And I'll play more Anser next time 'round -
  10:33pm
doctor b.:

1978 was a great year for rock, despite the bad disco and worse pop on the radio!
  10:37pm
j-No:

Martha, it's great to be here.
  10:38pm
Destroit:

hello Martha, and all listeners.
  11:02pm
doctor b.:

S&S make Suicide sound like The Carpenters!
  11:04pm
Martha:

Ah! Excellent comparison -
  11:10pm
Betsy:

Hey Martha, sounds great! Love this Drosofile - is it new?
  11:11pm
Martha:

Yes! New!! French!!! Thanks for checking in as well -
  11:13pm
doctor b.:

Billy Bragg with a jazzier sound?
  11:16pm
doctor b.:

If Can tried to sound like the Velvet Underground, they'd sound like 39 Clocks. Super!
  11:24pm
Betsy:

Love this J.A. Caesar!
  11:28pm
Martha:

It's great - and a beautiful gatefold reissue as well -
  11:41pm
Martha:

And it would be great if Billy B. were on Load -
  11:46pm
dave:

loving this insect factory thing.
  11:47pm
Martha:

Yes - it's wonderful, isn't it -
  11:52pm
Ignore Function:

Great show. First time listener here.
  11:52pm
dave:

insect factory's web page sez he's going to be live on the frow show tonight with public speaking, but it doesn't look like that's on the 'fmu special programs page.
  2:56am
