Asanarama:

Creepy. I do *not* have surround sound, but those people laughing sound like they're behind me.

sudo:

a soundtrack for my internal monologue. cheers, jesse

Drifting, love this noise. Hi Kim.

Pil!:

Awesome track! I'm lucky it's almost noon at my longitude, otherwise it'd be just too creepy

Berg:

'morning all - super sunny in Paris today, and a good show here on the air!
  5:03am
Knile:

Berg: what's the best way for a not-really-Francophone visitor to Paris to find the COOLEST goings-on?
  5:08am
Berg:

@Knile: once you're there I'd recommend to buy the weekly edition of Pariscope http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pariscope and sift with your interests
  5:09am
Knile:

Marvelous! I've got a few visits in the next few months. Pretty excited.

@Knile: though it really depends on your interests, if you're looking for something specific and somewhat offbeat/experimental/WFMUish, there are other resources... but no comprehensive one
  5:17am
Knile:

@Fred: I'll mostly be traveling with, hm, not-so-WFMUish folk, but will have a bit of time to myself to explore. Pariscope seems like a good start for the general population. Thanks for your advice, too :)

If you like records, you should pay a visit to Bimbo Tower: 5, passage Saint-Antoine (near Bastille). It can be hard to find as there is no sign and it's in a side street, but it's worth it. Ken once broadcast his show from there.

Dave in PA:

<contemplating not one, but five Bimbo Towers>

Our esteemed WFMU Station Manager Ken Feedman did his show live from Bimbo Tower in Paris on June 3 2009 - see wfmu.org...
