Doug Watson, a frequent/long-time comment-er at D:O, was a key person in helping define it, I believe. Also, the compilation JAZZ SATELLITES is something of a founding document. |

One MOUSE OF TODAY pledge ($365 or a dollar-a-day) pledge will get this show achingly close to the 50% mark. If you pledge $180 or more, you can opt to pay your pledge in monthly installments. It's pretty painless and makes a HUGE and wonderful difference to WFMU and GTDR! |

Destination Out is a non-denominational radio show. It accepts pledges of any denomination. I while I'm speaking of de nation, there have been no pledges yet from outside the U.S.A. Here's special to all across-the-border listeners (except our Greek friends, who have no disposable income) to make a pledge! |

One thing I do appreciate: at least FMU seeks funds using music, rather than coming up to folks on the sidewalk, clipboard in hand, and asking: "Do you like comedy?" "Do you have a moment for the environment?" "You look like someone who cares?" |

Pre-recorded programs like Destination's Out's have a harder time soliciting pledges than the live shows. The dirty little secret is that the folks doing pre-recorded shows have to spend twice as much time creating their shows. The three hours to recorded it to tape and then three more hours maintaining the live playlist. Let's have a pledge or two in support of our hard working DJs! |
