WKCR did a "jazz profile" on him yesterday afternoon. tough to listen to all lumped together like that. seems like everytime i turned on the radio yesterday he was on. diggin' the bill dixon, though.

"everytime i turned on the radio yesterday [Roscoe Mitchell] was on." David, you live in some other kind of alternate, magical universe. |
|
Mon. 1/30/12 12:27pm
Doug S.:
David, I have to agree. I guess I'm glad WKCR does those ultra-marathon broadcasts dedicated to one artist—it bestow a kind of honor that I appreciate—but I've never really enjoyed listening to music that way.

Thanks, Martha. Still sorting through the good stuff from last year here. I've actually felt sort of the opposite lately; like, when can I go back and listen to Lee Morgan again? (NOT AN IDLE MENTION.) |
