  Wed. 1/11/12 3:01pm Mitt:

@show slogan: Like me getting nominated?
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:01pm Robert:

I still think the Man from UNCLE theme sounds like this.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:02pm G:

I didn't know Hitler owned a record factory??
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:02pm Robert:

Is that Vitaphone being demonstrated in the photo?
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:02pm glenn:

don't kid yourself, mitt, the only reason you got it is because you're only about 70% as insane as the rest of them.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:03pm Alison Porchnik:

But if anything really annoying happens, will WFMU let me know with an important buzzer?
Wed. 1/11/12 3:04pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

glenn, only 30% left to go!!
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:04pm lickysnaps:

afternoon Irwin

my honda guy died
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:05pm G:

@ali: 30% of FMU content is guaranteed to be really annoying. Get with the program!
Wed. 1/11/12 3:06pm Matt from Springfield:

I thought we established already that in the actual End of the World, the End of the World Machine wouldn't work.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:07pm John McCabe in L.A.:

who names there kid Mitt anyway?
Wed. 1/11/12 3:08pm Matt from Springfield:

@G: WFMU quotas:

30%--must be really annoying
30%--must be excruciatingly boring
30%--must be grossly offensive
10%--palatable power pop/new indie releases/etc...
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:08pm Catcher:

What's wrong with Mitt?
Wed. 1/11/12 3:09pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

100% offbeat, though, and I'm a thorough 100%er!
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:09pm Alison Porchnik:

@G : so you're implying that there's no way to know if something really important happens while I'm listening to Irwin's show?
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:09pm G-Love:

I think Mitt is an outstanding name.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:10pm T.S. Eliot:

Not with a buzz but a whimper.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:10pm George Romney:

His birth name is Mittgang Amadeus Mozart Romney.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:10pm factcheck:

Mitt's first name is Willard.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:11pm Oven:

We want mitt!
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:11pm John McCabe in L.A.:

nothing I guess but there is something wrong with naming your kid Newt
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:11pm G:

@ali: Simple. Something important and annoying is always happening when you are tuned in.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:12pm Willard Mittens:

Now Irwin, I might not be your first choice, but I'm a perfect match selected for you, like an arranged marriage! You may be scouring for someone else now, but you know you'll come back to the rich, handsome, pre-selected candidate:

  Wed. 1/11/12 3:13pm G:

  Wed. 1/11/12 3:13pm Playlist Clone:

Shiny Happy People must be we. No disagree, same tastes or shut up! Freeform radio does not transfer into free speech!
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:14pm T-Zero:

@Matt: nothing to do with program again, but a question for you re my dbase. What would you use for the country for classical works? The location of the performing orchestra or the homeland of the composer?
Wed. 1/11/12 3:14pm Matt from Springfield:

@DCE: We - are - the 100 percent! FMU!

I'm also a "17 Hour-er"--I listened live to (or quickly caught up with) ALL 17 hours of Clay Pigeon and Julie's Hurricane Irene fill-in.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:16pm Alison Porchnik:

@G: You're absolutely right. Perhaps this is the only way one can experience the amazing synthesis of annoying and important. It's a feeling like no other, Well, maybe a little like standing in line at the marriage bureau or the DMV.
Wed. 1/11/12 3:17pm Matt from Springfield:

Hi T-Zero!
Hmm, depends...do you have a year and format of medium (CD, LP, etc) followed by original year of release or recording? Or is your "year" only for the original release? I'd have the location correspond with the composer, unless the info applies mainly to the recording--then, do the orchestra's location.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:17pm T-Zero:

Heh, Genevieve Wait... The South African Betty Boop?
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:17pm John McCabe in L.A.:

WFMU; 1% DJ's, 99% listeners
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:17pm G:

@ali: Messy as life itself.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:18pm 4 to 5 Song Set:

Here we go, Irwin again. But, WHICH Irwin will we be getting? Laid-back Irwin? Sarcastically happy Irwin? Sobbing Irwin? Helium voiced Irwin?...
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:19pm John McCabe in L.A.:

I want to thank the computer programers at FMU for making easier math questions
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:19pm G:

He's happy Ron Paul came in 2nd at least.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:20pm glenn:

wow, the d.m.v.'s getting a lot of hate today.
Wed. 1/11/12 3:20pm Listening Out There:

We'll probably get Irwin Irwin, my guess...
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:20pm Alison Porchnik:

I vote for misanthropic Irwin.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:20pm DMV:

We try, glenn.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:20pm bill:

What holiday was that?
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:20pm Caryn:

Does Mitt Romney prefer the name Mitt over the name Willard because
a) he has a glove fetish
b) "Willard" makes people think he hangs out with rats who do his bidding (I'm sure there's a GOP joke to be made here...)
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:21pm glenn:

my favourite drill bit kit is named irwin, for what it's worth.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:22pm T-Zero:

@Matt: The year(s) are the release date and if a reissue the reissue date. I do indicate what medium(s).
The location is country, place (city if not us, state if us), location (us city). But I only use those for the artist/group location where they first became "known". classical I've just started working on so I can use it for the composer or performance. I started out using the location of the performance, but I think I'll correspond it with the composer instead like you said.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:22pm John McCabe in L.A.:

Willard vs Newt
Wed. 1/11/12 3:22pm Matt from Springfield:

He sounds pretty laid back today.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:22pm G:

@bill: FMU holiday party sound track was live on the air 9PM to 3AM Saturday-Sunday
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:23pm Alison Porchnik:

bachelor pad irwin.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:23pm T-Zero:

Ok... back to the scheduled program... ;)
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:23pm still b/p:

I enjoyed the ring of overhead lighting in the War Room in Dr. Strangelove last night.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:24pm Alison Porchnik:

here comes the buzzer!
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:24pm John McCabe in L.A.:

Irwin is like the Venus Flytrap of WFMU
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:24pm bill:

G: Insterting! Thanks.
Wed. 1/11/12 3:25pm Matt from Springfield:

A new half dozen!! :D
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:25pm G:

  Wed. 1/11/12 3:26pm T-Zero:

@Matt: Heh, that's not going to work. Think I'll just add another field for composer location. lol
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:27pm Alison Porchnik:

the cole porter of calypso
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:29pm Irwin:

I might give the calypso CP nod to Lord Kitchener or Mighty Sparrow. But Houdini was damned good.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:29pm kat330:

Hey folks! Sorry to have missed the Hitchcock. How's tricks?
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:30pm Irwin:

@AP: sorry to hear about the death of your CAPS LOCK.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:30pm Janet H:

Hi Irwin! I made it!
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:31pm CAPS LOCK:

we just took a personal day, jeez.
Wed. 1/11/12 3:31pm Matt from Springfield:

@TZ: Picky and thorough DBer you are! You should join Peter Holsapple and Chris Stamey, in a band called "The dB-ers"!
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:31pm kat330:

Ah, but in time for the Fagen!
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:31pm Alison Porchnik:

@Irwin: I DON'T WANT TO YELL AT ANYONE. so i'll be twee and poetic instead.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:32pm Stevie:

I detect a little Boogie On Reggae Woman here.
Wed. 1/11/12 3:32pm Mark in VT:

I wonder if Santorum was a Mormon he would cut the sleeves off his magic mormon underroos.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:33pm Mittsterioso:

Love early Dan, but the solo stuff bogs down for me. Othawise great sett!
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:35pm jonathan:

good video for this one.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:36pm popo:

wow man this sounds so good and smooth, i feel like eric stoltz
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:36pm Parq:

Hmm. Always thought this was an actual Dan song. Judging from the Google search I just did, so did a lot of other people.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:37pm katt330:

@Mitt...: I do as well.
@Matt: If you even recall, that festival from '70 with all the great artists, I knew I forgot someone: John Sebastian was one at least.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:38pm G:

@Parq: It's kinda like the same factory making the national brand and the store brand, too. Different label, same flavor.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:39pm Eric Stoltz:

popo, do not take my name in vain.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:40pm Mittsterioso:

@katt Prettzel tto Royall wentt down with cheeze like charlemagne.
Wed. 1/11/12 3:40pm Listening Out There:

....lyrics from "Zombie" ARE pretty deep....
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:42pm kat330:

It's actually kat, but I noticed the double t's phenom. One of my faves from Royal Scam is "Green Earrings."
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:43pm Carmichael:

Good afternoon Irwin and particular people congregating.
Wed. 1/11/12 3:43pm Ken From Hyde Park:

I have an idea that's either great or horrible. Amanda singing "Mairzy Doats." Opinions?
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:44pm kat330:

Never cared for "Kid Charlemagne" myself. Seems to happen so often that the most radio-friendly track is the one I like least. Like "Coyote" on Mitchell's Hejira.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:44pm Alison Porchnik:

no one singing mairzy doats please.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:44pm kat330:

Hi, Carmichael.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:45pm G:

Sure, Ken HP, we can jump in the time machine and go back to the late 80s to to set up that recording session! :-)
Wed. 1/11/12 3:45pm Matt from Springfield:

Amanda can sing anything! EVEN Mairzy Doats! ESPECIALLY Mairzy Doats! Now more than ever!!
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:46pm kat330:

Though I always have to shout out along with "Is there gas in the car? Yes. there's gas in the car."
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:47pm Mittsterioso:

@kat coyote is overpraised, but jaco kills on hejira.
Wed. 1/11/12 3:47pm Matt from Springfield:

@kat330: I still like the so-called single track on most "good" albums. In fact I first found out about Joni through "Coyote" in The Last Waltz (yes I know, but I learned a lot of great songs and people from that film! First heard of Emmylou through that as well.)
Wed. 1/11/12 3:48pm Matt from Springfield:

"Coyote" wasn't typical of Joni's career, but that was the most enrapturing poetic lyric-unusual guitar tuning woven together...I was hypnotized, still devoted to Joni to this day.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:49pm kat330:

Jaco indeed made that album superior.
Wed. 1/11/12 3:50pm Matt from Springfield:

"Don Juan's Reckless Daughter" from the year after is very derivative of "Coyote", so to me that still stands out as the "original" one to me.

Yes, I first found out about Jaco through Joni's later 70s albums.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:50pm Carmichael:

Heya, Kat. Yes, there's gas in the car.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:51pm kat330:

Heh! Car ar ar ar
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:51pm John McCabe in L.A.:

best song all day
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:51pm Alison Porchnik:

favorite part of the show.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:52pm G:

@ali: ok, NOW something annoying is happening.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:52pm Mittsterioso:

that was short-n-sweet. grinding greatness.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:52pm Alison Porchnik:

not as annoying as i'd hoped, actually.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:53pm Alison Porchnik:

i've heard better. longer. more grating.
Wed. 1/11/12 3:53pm Keith from Vermont:

Speaking of Steely Dan... Glamour Profession is terminally stuck in my head. One of the greatest sneaky guitar solos ever tacked on the end of that tune.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:53pm G:

@ali: try bryce. or fabio.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:53pm kat330:

My feed seems to be delayed from some or most of you folks. I always see a comment before I even hear the tune. And I say "tune" facetiously here.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:54pm Carmichael:

It's still early, Alison. Speaking of which, did anyone catch the musical guests on Conan last night? Some faux cowboy group singing about doing fat chicks in trailer parks.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:55pm kat330:

@Keith: Crap forgot that my fave Steely Dan from Royal Scam is actually "Don't Take Me Alive," specifically the guitar solo.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:55pm Alison Porchnik:

reminded yet again why i have no tv
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:55pm G:

@kat: momentary dropouts owing to your connection will make you get more and more behind. reload the stream on your end and you'll be closer to current.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:56pm Carmichael:

Don't Take Me Alive contains my favorite SD guitar work. Great little intro lick, and inventive, tasteful bridge solo.
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:56pm Carmichael:

Jesus Kat, did we simul-think or what?!?
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:57pm kat330:

Yikes! There is gas in the Car indeed!
Wed. 1/11/12 3:57pm Listening Out There:

Interesting the topic of Steely Dan and guitarists comes up. I did not know 'til a while back that Skunk Baxter's later gig was in military consulting. Seems odd t'me.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeff_Baxter
  Wed. 1/11/12 3:57pm kat330:

Gonna reload and see if G is right.
Wed. 1/11/12 3:59pm Listening Out There:

...everyone else here probably knew that factoid already....
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:00pm kat330:

@Car: Jung calls it tapping into the collective unconscious. I do that several times daily.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:00pm G:

stream is always some seconds behind the over-air audio -- 20 or 30 seconds vicinity, but not several minutes behind...
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:00pm Mittsterioso:

deniz tek, another guitar virtuoso slash military man
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:03pm kat330:

@LOT: Nope, I did not know that.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:05pm Carmichael:

Didn't Ken Weaver of the Fugs end up working for the CIA? The ultimate sin in the music world, methinks.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:05pm kat330:

Sending this at song's end.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:05pm Alison Porchnik:

undeniable apocalyptic subtext in this playlist
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:06pm kat330:

Does that sync up?
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:08pm G:

My sister in law wrote to the state department to find out what her deceased dad did for a living. (She and her family got moved around a lot in Africa and the Middle East, and he told them he worked for Voice of America.) The state department wrote back about her FOIA query and said to contact the CIA. The CIA responded to her query by writing back and saying: "This is our first and last communication on this matter. We cannot confirm that he either worked or did not work here. You can hire a lawyer if you wish, but we are going to say the same thing in court."

She remembers that while living in one particular north African country she was picked up from school during the day and the whole family left the country without their belongings within a couple of hours, never to return. There was a coup in that country the next day.

What do *you* think he did?
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:08pm kat330:

@Car: And then there's Ted Nugent.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:08pm Mittsterioso:

@kat faster than mine but im on the webfeed...
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:10pm Aharon:

Reminds me of seeing Morphine at the Troc in Phila in the mid-90s. Mark Sandman seemed like a doomed figure back then; sad that he was.

On an entirely separate note, my dad was accused of being a CIA operative by local governments throughout my youth. Mainly, he attended cocktail parties. As far as I know.
Wed. 1/11/12 4:10pm Matt from Springfield:

@G: Could be anything sensitive or covert, with VOA cover, CIA is the most likely choice.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:13pm Carmichael:

Ted's about the only person I've ever seen who really should have the formal job title "Douchebag".
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:13pm Mittsterioso:

neither nu nor a gent
Wed. 1/11/12 4:14pm Keith from Vermont:

@charmichael: You mean besides Newt Gingrich?
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:14pm G:

That's what we all figure. They train them how to talk around what they do. Down the block from my sister-in-law I went to an Xmas party with one of her neighbors, who works for the NSA as an "event planner" who gets together people that need to meet.

My sister-in-law said din advance not to bother asking about her job, she'll just give vague answers and make jokes. She said she thinks the NSA/CIA/etc. give them training in how to do that.

She was a nice lady, and had the new Lindsey Buckingham album on, FFS!
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:15pm kat330:

@Car: Just don't say anything negative about Rod Stewart. You might get piled on. :)
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:16pm Mittsterioso:

rod st. wart? on my ass. fart.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:17pm kat330:

Just got an email about a Friday registration deadline. Anyone here going to attend the SXSW 2012?
Wed. 1/11/12 4:17pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

oh potty potty potty mouth.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:19pm kat330:

@Mitt: you wouldn't say that unanonymously, as I did (more or less, more in the end) on a playlist.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:20pm G:

she's the utubes before its time.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:20pm glenn:

this sounds like growed up amanda.
Wed. 1/11/12 4:20pm Matt from Springfield:

Miss "Curly Toes" rocks! What year did she win that CMA "Best New Performer" award?
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:21pm Carmichael:

Keith, Nugent seems to offend across all demographics and belief systems. The Newtster seems to actually have a following of mouth-breathers and paste-eaters. That was the basis for my judgement.

Kat, if I talk shit about Rod my wife will kick me square in the ... face.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:21pm Alison Porchnik:

more of those old george kuchar mountain ballads please.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:22pm kat330:

@glenn: The pantyhose reference precludes that possibility. I think those horrid torture items perpetrated by some misogynist were out the window before that.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:23pm Mittsterioso:

oh george kuchar.... so sad he died. great genius, forgotten.
Wed. 1/11/12 4:23pm Matt from Springfield:

Great, even had the "tape turn off" ruffle sound at the end!
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:24pm Irwin:

I dig the Nuge. Not his music -- him.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:25pm Robert:

I didn't know Geoge Kuchar had mtn. ballads.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:26pm Nuge:

Any hataz, just say that to my face. My crossbow's loaded, with the safety off.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:26pm kat330:

@Car: Well, I certainly don't want you to risk domestic abuse. I don't know WHAT it is, but it's nothing specific, just the totality of RS that has always bugged me. Maybe because my older brother liked him so much, and he's an abusive DB.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:26pm The Nuge:

Coming to get you with my big crossbow, buddy.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:27pm kat330:

Mmmm, I like this!
Wed. 1/11/12 4:27pm Matt from Springfield:

@Irwin: That's hardcore--the Nuge is for those who think Charlie Sheen is "a bit dainty".
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:27pm Alison Porchnik:

no, not forgotten. ps 1 in queens has a multimedia exhibit up through sunday. got to get myself out there.
Wed. 1/11/12 4:27pm Matt from Springfield:

Also, love the Scottishness of Jack Rose's vocal. Excellent choice.
Wed. 1/11/12 4:28pm Matt from Springfield:

Or, maybe that was Admiral Fallow I meant--I think I meant Admiral Fallow.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:28pm kat330:

I had a 12- string for several months. Drove me batshit in tuning it, so sold it.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:30pm pierre:

Bonjour Irwin !
Bonjour All listener-listeners and non-istener-listeners !
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:30pm Carmichael:

Oh that's right Irwin, I forgot you were an unrepentant right-winger. Was that how you referred to yourself some weeks ago?
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:30pm Carmichael:

This sounds like Daniel Johnston.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:31pm kat330:

Allo, Pierre!
Wed. 1/11/12 4:32pm Randy in NC:

Hello, I'm Shelley Duval, Hello, I'm Shelley Duval, Hello, I'm Shelley Duval, Hello, I'm Shelley Duval, Hello, I'm Shelley Duval, Hello, I'm Shelley Duval, Hello, I'm Shelley Duval, Hello, I'm Shelley Duval...
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:32pm pierre:

salut kat330.
Wed. 1/11/12 4:33pm Matt from Springfield:

More Popeye rock--been awhile since you played this. (And I think it was only Nilsson's demos before).

Allo allo, pierre!
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:33pm Parq:

The Popeye movie itself just didn't make it for me. Of course, I was a kid when I saw it, but I doubt I'd change my mind. Charm, dang, I never thought of it, but you're right!
Wed. 1/11/12 4:34pm Called In Sick:

Hello, I'm Shelley Duvet
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:34pm Shelly Duval:

I'm sorry it took me so long to finish.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:35pm Any Guy:

That's what *she* said.
Wed. 1/11/12 4:35pm Matt from Springfield:

@Carm: The Irwin self-definition I prefer was stated a few weeks ago: "a hippie anarchist libertarian freethinking republican-voting drug-abusing disheveled disbeliever."
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:35pm lone utahn:

oh man I can really feel this
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:35pm Smelly Duvet:

I'm unwashed and somewhat slightly dazed.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:36pm pierre:

Where did that song come from?
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:36pm Any Guy:

@Matt: sounds freeform to me.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:37pm lone utahn:

I can really see the light now, it's sappy covers of kings of leon
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:38pm kat330:

Dare I say I was never a Shelley Duval fan either? Nothing could ruin The Shining for me, but it would have been greatly improved if there had been a believable, loving couple in Jack and her. Never bought it, so some of his changeover was diminished as a result.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:38pm pierre:

@Matt from Springfield: stated by whom?
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:39pm pierre:

DJ Keilidh has a great voice and talent !
i liked that song, it made me want to cry !
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:39pm kat330:

@Irwin: I concur about the Kelli cover.
Wed. 1/11/12 4:40pm Mark in VT:

I think it is both obvious and funny that many conservatives like the survival of the fittest thing and each man his own like Ted Nugent, yet rely on and blab on and on about a belief system and how the structure of society is eroding. Why would it be eroding if the strong only survive and why would you need a limited government to protect you from what's bad with society if it is up to people to be their own bad ass.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:40pm Any Guy:

So that Keilidh was a makeup spin? (DJ equivalent olf makeup sex)
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:41pm kat330:

Oops I deleted the wrong extra letter: Keili, I meant.
Wed. 1/11/12 4:41pm Matt from Springfield:

Keili sounded amazing! I'll subscribe to that channel if she's posting more.

@pierre: "self-definition", meaning how someone defines themselves. So that means, what Irwin said about himself.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:41pm State Department:

Don't look at me. O:-)
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:42pm Chinchilla:

Irwin: the most dangerous man on Radio
Wed. 1/11/12 4:42pm Keith from Vermont:

@Mark: State mottos never lie: Vermont "Freedom and Unity." New Hampshire. "Live Free or Die."
Wed. 1/11/12 4:42pm Matt from Springfield:

That is a real news story--even though it *sounds* tailor-made for Irwin! :)
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:42pm Carmichael:

Irwin, it's a big round black bomb with a hissing fuse. Preferably one that clearly says "bomb" on it.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:43pm Carmichael:

"Oklahoma is OK."
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:44pm pierre:

@ Matt from Springfield : oups i didn't read that "sef definition" sorry.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:44pm Aharon:

There's a typo on the playlist. The band name should be Yellowcake.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:44pm das:

I think it has something to do with the Styx comeback
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:45pm ?:

oregon; the beaver state
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:48pm glenn:

she said beaver. heh heh.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:49pm rrg:

Connecticut is the Nutmeg State.

Really? I mean, really?

I've known that for decades but it still makes me giggle.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:50pm Alison Porchnik:

unfortunately, this technology doesn't allow me to insert a drawing of a beaver here.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:51pm kat330:

I'm not even sure of Indiana's motto, but I believe it is "The Crossroads of America," even though that sounds like about 4-5 state claims.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:51pm Alison Porchnik:

and what's up with MO - the 'show-me state'?
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:51pm Joe Bacon:

Finally, a song about my favorite Crystal Methodist, Ted Haggard!
Wed. 1/11/12 4:52pm Matt from Springfield:

Great synth/sampler rhythm -- reminds me of late 70s Kraftwerk a bit.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:53pm kat330:

We have something in common with NJ though: We both have governors the GOP REALLY wanted to run for president.
Wed. 1/11/12 4:53pm Keith from Vermont:

@alison: I think it should be Missouri loves company.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:53pm glenn:

oregon should merge with missouri. then the motto could be show me your beaver. what? you were all thinking it.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:54pm rrg:

  Wed. 1/11/12 4:56pm Parq:

Wait, the Dead this week, Tuna last week -- when do we get to the mid-period Dylan?
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:56pm kat330:

@βrian: Heh, that, too. Especially with the campaign against Planned Parenthood here. Idiots.
Wed. 1/11/12 4:57pm Matt from Springfield:

@Alison: Keith did the heavy lifting for that one!
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:57pm glenn:

really? they ARE idiots.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:58pm βrian:

You can never step into the same stream twice, they say.
Wed. 1/11/12 4:58pm Matt from Springfield:

Paging Clay Pigeon, Clay Pigeon...you are wanted for a discussion about states' nicknames.
  Wed. 1/11/12 4:59pm kat330:

@glenn: I'm living in Indiana next to Kentucky. Our Mitch is only slightly saner then their Mitch. Why do ya think I need FMU time!?
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:00pm Mark:

did the deluxe reissue of Ace occur and I missed it?
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:01pm kat330:

I found it very concerning how careful PP was in keeping a cloak of secrecy on my behalf when I donated to them. I didn't want or expect it, but apparently they need to for most.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:02pm kat330:

"thAn" but of course. New computer, new keyboard, same small print in the comments area and still the same bad eyesight.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:02pm das:

Whadja donate, a day planner?
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:03pm kat330:

  Wed. 1/11/12 5:04pm PMD:

Hi Irwin! actually listening live, for a little bit. Happy new year!
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:06pm glenn:

the craziness of the evangelical christian is second to none.
Wed. 1/11/12 5:06pm Mark in VT:

I have often thought about the two state mottos of NH and VT. How they seem to compliment each other just like their state line shapes do with each other. Almost like a ying yang.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:06pm rrg:

I agree. Happy New Year, Irwin.
Wed. 1/11/12 5:07pm Hardcore WFMU Listener:

(pulls gun back from head) Whew! Thank God! You're NOT playing "The Logical Song"!! What a close one...
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:07pm Joe Bacon:

Irwin, how about doing a show with a mix of what's on your iPod!
Wed. 1/11/12 5:08pm Matt from Springfield:

Happy New Year, PMD!
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:08pm Irwin:

@glenn: So the reason we stand in long lines at airports, take off our shoes and pass thru metal detectors is because of extremist Christians?
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:10pm rrg:

I remember the 70s.

I guess this comment is five minutes too late. It's my stream, you see.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:10pm glenn:

all religious fundamentalists are fundamentally insane.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:11pm Airport Security:

Don't pretend you wear shoes, hippie!
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:11pm Alison Porchnik:

@ Irwin - there are plenty of those too, it's just that we aren't forced to comply with faa regulations to minimize the risk.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:11pm Parq:

Oh. Of course.
Wed. 1/11/12 5:12pm Keith from Vermont:

@Mark: Totally agree.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:13pm rrg:

I see there's that John Fahey "Layla" coming up in five minutes.

Can't wait.

But I guess I'll have to.
Wed. 1/11/12 5:13pm Matt from Springfield:

Great guitaring here!
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:13pm Dave B:

Work keeps getting in the way of my WFMU time....
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:14pm glenn:

it's very good, rrg. better than the original, that's for sure.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:14pm βrian:

Streaming in Madison seems to be current.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:14pm kat330:

Gotta relate what my local councilman told me today: Someone is introducing a state bill to make it ILLEGAL to photograph or film in any Indiana factory farm. They already got it on the books that the police can enter your home without knocking or your permission.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:14pm John Fahey:

I just slapped Clapton's mama
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:15pm G:

Nice guitarwork, but am I the only one who wonders whether the overrated Clapton ever wrote an actually distinguished song on his own? {ducking}
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:15pm kat330:

Enjoying this version of Layla, too.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:15pm glenn:

his papa was canadian, so that's something.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:16pm kat330:

@G: Hey now, watch it -- Clapton shares my birthday! :) Just kidding. I couldn't care less.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:16pm Mark:

I think we should all slap Clapton's mama
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:16pm pierre:

@ Dave B : i so understand what you're going through here, hang on friend.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:16pm G:

tee hee...
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:17pm glenn:

to be honest, most people who listen to clapton don't care about songs, they care about guitar.
Wed. 1/11/12 5:17pm Matt from Springfield:

Jan & Lorraine!!!!!! Always enjoy them!!!!
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:18pm rrg:

My stream is behind because I was driving and listening using the WFMU iPhone app, had to pause a couple of times to send a text message using Siri, and there hasn't been a convenient interval (like, say, an Amanda track) when I could skip back to live.
Wed. 1/11/12 5:18pm Matt from Springfield:

@kat: What are they trying to stop by outlawing that?
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:18pm G:

so that's his excuse.

there are plenty of better rock guitaists out there too...
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:18pm das:

Clapton bores the hell out of me, I'm missing that part of the brain which allows me to appreciate him or his guitar.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:19pm glenn:

peter green for one.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:19pm kat330:

How could I care since Celine Dion also shares my birthday. On the other hand, Tracy Chapman does as well.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:19pm Carmichael:

I liked Clapton when he would just shut up and play the blues. Now that he's a patented product, all I hear is sucking.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:20pm Mark:

why would they care about guitar, Clapton is a ham handed fool
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:20pm Carmichael:

Mick Taylor for another. And the dearly departed Gary Moore.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:20pm rrg:

Man, we're all such contrarians here.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:20pm kat330:

@Matt: The medieval, horrible and wretched conditions of these foul fowl torture chambers.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:20pm glenn:

my friend richard keelan wrote a couple of songs on that jan and lorraine album.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:20pm G:

OK, March 30th.

Kat is hinting, people.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:20pm das:

Sucking, that's his woman tone'
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:20pm kat330:

Oh, and so does Norah Jones.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:20pm rrg:

Amy Irving shares mine.

My birthday, I mean.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:21pm Carmichael:

Kat, I share mine with Joe Jackson, Mark Knopfler and ... wait for it ... George Hamilton.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:21pm glenn:

i disagree completely. eric's got chops to spare, but carmichael's right.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:22pm Irwin:

So much faux rancor on the board today!
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:22pm G:

Mine with John Lennon. Hence my inability to keep away from wordplay despite having better judgment.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:22pm kat330:

@G: "Hinting"? It's right there in my NAME fercimminy!
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:23pm Dave B:

@Carmichael - McHale's Pub (used to be @46/8th Ave NYC) used to describe the bacon on their burgers as "crispy as George Hamilton's skin"
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:23pm Carmichael:

Hello, I'd like to buy an argument, please.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:23pm kat330:

Non-musicians I share with include Warren Beatty and van Gogh, but my fave of all is Maimonides.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:23pm G:

New board name: "The Faux Fighters"
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:23pm Mark:

ha I share my birthday with Judy Garland and Howling Wolf
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:23pm pierre:

@Irwin : what "faux rancor"
Wed. 1/11/12 5:24pm Breakfast in America:

One more time Irwin
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:24pm kat330:

Yesss! Hit that high note!
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:24pm rrg:

"330" could have meant anything. An address, or a weight, for example.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:24pm glenn:

i gots nero, dave clark and mo vaughan.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:25pm Beav:

her name is fanny held, hehehehehe
Wed. 1/11/12 5:25pm Matt from Springfield:

@G: Since you've adopted this board, that name's official! At least until March! (thinking of re-adopting the comments from us misfits and malcontents?)
Wed. 1/11/12 5:26pm Matt from Springfield:

Love "La Traviata", this is the oldest recording of that I've heard.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:26pm kat330:

@rrg: And for the Europeans among us, it would be 303.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:26pm eb:

maybe not, but Christian conservative terrorists are the reason Dutch kids wont be going to summer camp this year
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:26pm rrg:

She dies in the end.

Oh, wait. that's "La Boheme". I think.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:26pm βrian:

I've always had a thing for Fanny Ardant.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:27pm Carmichael:

Hey cool, I also have Cecil B. DeMille and Cantinflas!
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:27pm kat330:

  Wed. 1/11/12 5:27pm G:

How do you remember all that stuff, Matt? I wasn't gonna say that.

My comment only applies till the end of today, if that long, so people are free to say anything that want going forward. Let's not hedge ourselves in!
Wed. 1/11/12 5:27pm Mark in VT:

The people from New Hampshire who live free on their bikes without helmets and die while crossed the border into Vermont need some insurance. Who could Irwin suggest they get for some insurance?
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:28pm glenn:

ummmm. how many famous people marry poor folk?
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:28pm kat330:

  Wed. 1/11/12 5:28pm Caryn:

As I don't share my birthday with particularly interesting people (the friggin' Madden twins? Are you kidding me?), I'll go back to earlier topics.

I feel like the state motto of Maryland is a book title. "Manly deeds, womanly words", okey-dokey. While Oregon's sound like 1970s' rock lyrics: "She flies with her own wings". And New Mexico just opted for a weird near-double entendre: "It grows as it goes". What? Still better than Washington's carefree "By and by".
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:28pm Carmichael:

When is Amanda's birthday???
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:28pm pierre:

the Europeans what… ?
(thing goes to fast…)
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:28pm rrg:

Not enough opera on WFMU.

No, really, I mean it.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:29pm Parq:

RRG, the heroine in La Boheme didn't die in the end; she died in the lungs.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:29pm G:

no 5PM dropoff today, for some reason
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:29pm kat330:

That's a gross exaggeration, Irwin.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:29pm Mark:

and Ken Singleton, Dan Fouts and Kim Deal. Eliot Spitzer was born on the very same day as me
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:29pm βrian:

It's not "reference;" it's "refer to."
Wed. 1/11/12 5:29pm Matt from Springfield:

They were breeding racehorses together...but NOT with each other, with other horses. (Obviously need AT LEAST one horse in the pair, to produce another racehorse!)
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:29pm G:

Irwin does gross exaggeration very well, don't you think?
Wed. 1/11/12 5:30pm Matt from Springfield:

300th comment of irrelevance! Woo hoo!
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:30pm Richard Wagner:

No shit, Sherlock.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:30pm Carmichael:

Irwin, I'm ignoring you ever since the "faux" remark. My rancor is real.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:30pm rrg:

Pierre: Europeans (and also those wacky Canadians) express dates differently.

So March 30th is 30-3 instead of 3-30.

For example.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:30pm Caryn:

I think it's safe to say that in most operas, someone dies in the end. I think they die of the same thing in La Boheme and La Traviata actually...
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:31pm Mark:

and faux is one of those elite snobby French words
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:31pm Carmichael:

This sounds like I should be eating strudel.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:31pm kat330:

@G: Hyperbole, my best friend.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:31pm Opera slut:

I'm ignoring all the words I doesn't understant
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:31pm jt:

Did Irwin just say "Amanda"? I kind of zone out while I'm working. I can't zone out to Amanda.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:31pm G:

faux-y. i mean phooey.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:31pm glenn:

not all us wacky canadians do.
Wed. 1/11/12 5:32pm Matt from Springfield:

Everyone's favorite church picnic group!
Come over my way for March 17th, Sisters!
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:33pm G:

soon after 3, irwin said he had half a dozen newly found amanda tracks from jody, and might or might not have one air-ready by 6. i am guessing 5:49.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:33pm rrg:

Me, I write dates as "2012-01-11". I don't know if that's unambiguous enough but it's good enough for me.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:34pm pubic mold:

oh rocky, oh irwin!
Wed. 1/11/12 5:35pm Matt from Springfield:

Boy, this IS going fast today!
@Caryn: Operas are tragedies, sad endings, so death is almost always present. "Light operas" have happy endings, so yeah, I believe you there.
@kat330 5:20: Ah..even though everyone knows from the many horrid pictures of poultry houses out here--they are cruel and filthy places.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:35pm rrg:

A thunder of jets and an open sky...
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:35pm βrian:

@rrg: That's the ISO-8601 date standard. Celebrate your compliance!
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:35pm rrg:

But I sure do like those chickens.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:36pm Carmichael:

Isn't Rocky Burnette the guy who sold stars on TV?
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:36pm rrg:

It's compliant and makes intellectual sense to me. Yes.
Wed. 1/11/12 5:36pm Matt from Springfield:

Is this Rocky Burnette produced by Jeff Lynne?
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:37pm kat330:

Wilson!!! Yes!
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:38pm kat330:

You know how to Pickett, Irwin.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:38pm rrg:

Hey, I like this Genevieve Wait. Except last time Irwin spelled it "Waite", so I don't know.

Have to find me some.
Wed. 1/11/12 5:38pm Matt from Springfield:

@G @5:27: Sure, I appreciate your desire to keep this board "in the moment". In fact, today we seem to be "in the even-quicker-than-the-moment"!
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:39pm Mark:

@Matt from Springfield: going fast, have you ever commented during Ken's show?
Wed. 1/11/12 5:39pm Matt from Springfield:

@kat: Irwin Picked ett well indeed!
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:39pm rrg:

Wilson's coming up?

Oh. Not Wilson Phillips, Wilson Pickett.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:39pm Irwin:

@rrg: typo repaired. thx.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:40pm kat330:

@Matt: Yes, everyone "knows" but how quickly they forget. Not having the law behind showing what's going on to the press or even a courtroom, going forward with keeping it in the public's mind is harder. More than that, though, is just how fascist this state (and too many others) are becoming.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:40pm Tom Hanks:

Wed. 1/11/12 5:41pm Matt from Springfield:

Wow, yesterday on Brian Turner's show, more than half of comments were posted after 4:20, an unusual occurence considering the 5-o'clock dropoff. Now, today more than half of comments (or at least comment space) were posted after 4:40!! What's going on, is everyone stuck at work this week?
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:41pm kat330:

Yeah, Wednesday is hump the playlist day fershizzle.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:41pm G:

:-) I love how DJs complain about comment volume sometimes, but also brag about how high the number is on other occasions.

I'm not talking about Irwin, just a pattern I have noticed overall on various shows. :-) "We just need ten more to get to 100" and similar, late in a shift...
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:41pm rrg:

Wha'chew talkin' 'bout, Wilson?
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:41pm βrian:

@kat330: Come to Wisconsin and help us raise a little hell.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:41pm Mark:

oh Tom, how to say it, your new movie sucks
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:42pm kat330:

LOL and did a spit take, Tom Hanks!
Wed. 1/11/12 5:42pm Matt from Springfield:

@Mark: I listen and comment to Ken's show on occasion--you're right, that thing zooms by! "Confusion at 500 mph," Wednesdays at 9!
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:42pm Carmichael:

Yes Kat, Wednesday is definitely Don't Stop a Rockin day on FMU for me.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:43pm Parq:

IMDB spells it "Waïte".
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:44pm rrg:

For the first time I did the arithmetic wrong when entering a playlist comment.

Now I know what happens when you do that.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:44pm The Babies:

Waite! You went solo!
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:44pm rrg:

Try it and see.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:45pm rrg:

Where is the comment count listed, by the way?

Because it's not staring me in the face.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:45pm Parq:

It also says that, in "Myra Breckinridge", she played "Dental Patient". My.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:46pm Quint:

Wed. 1/11/12 5:46pm Mark in VT:

is there some kind of insurance a person can get to protect against bears?
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:46pm rrg:

There's still time for there NOT to be any Amanda tracks this week.

Almost there!
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:47pm kat330:

Also nice to interact with literate people. There was an item in our local "paper" by its EDITOR, fercrimminy, that had the grammar "has went."
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:47pm paulettte ray:

i am a whale, you killed my mother with a big harpoon
Wed. 1/11/12 5:47pm Matt from Springfield:

"Honey, there's a huge, living bear in the fridge!"
"Tell him not to touch the mousse, that's for bridge club."
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:48pm rrg:

@Mark in VT: Don't know about bear insurance, but check out the bear suit:

  Wed. 1/11/12 5:48pm Bear:

  Wed. 1/11/12 5:48pm kat330:

@βrian: Aren't you guys doing that fairly well on your own? I'm just trying to think globally and act locally. I think I need a new local.
Wed. 1/11/12 5:49pm Matt from Springfield:

@kat: WFMU has unquestionably one of the best comment boards out there!
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:49pm βrian:

Thinking about Ivor Cutler for some reason.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:49pm G:

@rrg: Don't you see that that functions as reverse psychology?
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:49pm glenn:

project grizzly, which is about troy hurtubise, is the best documentary ever.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:49pm Jethro Bodine:

what's wrong with "has went"? if you have time I can do my goesintas
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:49pm Richard:

... all the sweet green icing flowing dooooowwwwwwn ...
Wed. 1/11/12 5:50pm Mark in VT:

maybe there is an insurance an Irwin listener can buy if they don't hear Amanda enough or too much, plus other things Irwin show related
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:50pm kat330:

@rrg: I don't think Irwin will allow that. He kowtows to Matt, his class pet. :)
Wed. 1/11/12 5:50pm Matt from Springfield:

@kat: Since you said "think globally, act locally", I would like to point out my own personal motto: "Think seriously, act deliriously!" :)
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:51pm βrian:

We'll see. This is the last week to sign a recall petition. And the gub'ner has a *lot* of cash on hand.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:51pm rrg:

@G: I think you mean "self-fulfilling prophecy". Or the opposite of that. Or something.

I take your point. But I'm still hopeful.
Wed. 1/11/12 5:51pm Matt from Springfield:

Mr. Snuggles! A true classic!
Wed. 1/11/12 5:52pm Dude on the Dark Side of the Moon.:

There is no incorrect music, really.

Matter of fact, it's all incorrect.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:52pm Caryn:

I believe I saw Hurtubise on a talk show demonstrating the bear suit. I seem to remember Penn & Teller beating the crap out of him with bats to test it.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:52pm kat330:

@glenn: Werner!
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:52pm Carmichael:

Dude, you are correct.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:52pm rrg:

I think P&T had Troy on "Sin City Spectacular" back there in the late 1990s.

A different decade, that was.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:53pm kat330:

  Wed. 1/11/12 5:53pm G:

Wed. 1/11/12 5:53pm Matt from Springfield:

"Me Going on Picnic"!!! We going on picnic TOO!!!!!!!!
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:53pm jt:

Someone mentioned ISO-8601. I can put the receipt for this comment board under travel expenses because we talked about work.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:54pm Dennis Weaver:

As featured in the motion picture, Duel.'
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:54pm kat330:

Brandy sounds cute. Anyone seen Sophie Rose do her stuff?
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:54pm rrg:

I see what's coming up. I see it.

I don't think I had anything to do with it.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:54pm glenn:

  Wed. 1/11/12 5:54pm paulettte ray:

  Wed. 1/11/12 5:56pm kat330:

I'm getting stream cut out -- anyone else?
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:56pm pubic mold:

this is soullessness
Wed. 1/11/12 5:56pm Matt from Springfield:

Like early 60s Brill Building girl group stuff--would've been great if they expanded from the finger-snaps into a full production Jody song though.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:56pm rrg:

I'm still on "Mr. Snuggles". Not there yet.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:56pm Frustro:

Can't eggnog be all year 'round?
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:56pm βrian:

Praise the god bear.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:57pm Dave B:

@jt - "how's work?"
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:57pm pubic mold:

  Wed. 1/11/12 5:57pm G:

@rrg: DJs must see a show comment total on their readout, because they mention one sometimes. We all'd have to count, and maybe none of us is that interested in the exact total??
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:57pm glenn:

no, my ex's dad.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:57pm Laura L:

  Wed. 1/11/12 5:57pm Parq:

  Wed. 1/11/12 5:57pm kat330:

G'night Irwin and thanks!
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:57pm rrg:

Eggnog should be year-round. That's the least controversial thing that's been said today.
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:58pm 300:

THIS IS SPARTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  Wed. 1/11/12 5:58pm will:

  Wed. 1/11/12 5:58pm George Brett:
