I never miscue a record. I am punctual, well-prepared, and dislike clutter. Outgoing and helpful, I'm always appropriately dressed. I do not behave erratically and have excellent penmanship. My CD's never skip, and I am in good health. I like all the notes, in any order.

  Fri. 12/30/11 12:35pm bruceleh:

@Marshall Stacks
If you haven't already read "A Power Stronger Than Itself: The AACM and American Experimental Music", you must!
Great writing, great stories (Threadgill's army experience, LOL!), and truly great perspective on the importance of AACM!
  Fri. 12/30/11 12:38pm Marshall Stacks:

Thanks, Bruceleh. It's now on my list.
  Fri. 12/30/11 12:44pm Mike East:

Hey gearheads - anybody have any recommendations for audio interfaces? I'm just looking for something small (2 or 4 channels)
  Fri. 12/30/11 12:45pm Mike East:

  Fri. 12/30/11 1:12pm glenn:

maybe this will help, mike east. i know nothing about interfaces.
http://www.carbonsp.com/
  Fri. 12/30/11 1:14pm glenn:

sorry. this is the page. http://carbonsp.com/audio/interfaces_converters.php
Fri. 12/30/11 1:14pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

I think mine is a Lexicon, a few years old, never gives me any problems, but it's really basic--two 1/4 inch cables in. I kind of want to upgrade to something geared towards live performance. I believe M Audio's stuff is pretty good and affordable.
  Fri. 12/30/11 1:22pm Mike East:

Awesome, thanks guys! I actually just bought an M Audio, but haven't taken it out of the box yet, so I'm still in the area of possibly returning it if I find something better. I spent about $189 on it which is cheap, but some reviews I've been reading have said you get what you pay for, which tends to be true.
  Fri. 12/30/11 1:26pm glenn:

in fact, it's always true.
Fri. 12/30/11 1:27pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

a friend who's real detail-oriented says he prefers steinberger products because their "analog to digital converters" are superior.
  Fri. 12/30/11 1:31pm bryce:

hey, might want to give Phonic's stuff a look too. they're actually a manufacturer for several well-known brands, but quietly make their own stuff on the side & take pride in not marketing it. the quality is surprisingly high for the money....

  Fri. 12/30/11 1:32pm BozoDel:

great, that sounds a lot like Bach
  Fri. 12/30/11 1:33pm BozoDel:

wtf lol what are those drums?
  Fri. 12/30/11 1:34pm bryce:

hahaa, it is — the double concerto for violin & oboe, with the last beat of every bar removed, then all put together at the end.

drums are part of the same barrel organ....
Fri. 12/30/11 1:37pm pgw in mntclr:

BAC-fest!
  Fri. 12/30/11 1:37pm glenn:
