Options Brian Turner: Playlist from December 27, 2011 Options

Order and disorder in a freeform haze of terribly-played guitars, shorted-out electronics, found audio detritus, strange sounds from strange lands all around. Psych-punk-junk, collage, even pop. Lots of in-studio live performances to boot.

  Tue. 12/27/11 3:04pm Cheri Pi:

all right let's do this thing, people are you ready?
Tue. 12/27/11 3:05pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

first day back at work, I'm anything but ready...I'm sleepy...
  Tue. 12/27/11 3:05pm Stevel:

Does "Ready" require consciousness?
  Tue. 12/27/11 3:07pm Cheri Pi:

A cubicle nap does sound good.
Tue. 12/27/11 3:13pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

our Christmas surprise was going 50 miles to my mom's house, hearing "meow" loudly, and opening my hood to have the neighbor's cat pop out.
  Tue. 12/27/11 3:15pm kat330:

@DCE: Um, did you bring him back home I hope?
  Tue. 12/27/11 3:15pm Cheri Pi:

Wow DCE!! The cat who came to dinner.
  Tue. 12/27/11 3:18pm BSI:

For what it's worth, DCE, I aint ready neither.
Brilliant Melchior.
Tue. 12/27/11 3:19pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

ahhgghh...that's the sad part--it was so freaked out it jumped out my arms and ran under the porch--we tried to get it out but couldn't lure it...then it was gone.
  Tue. 12/27/11 3:20pm Mike East:

That's awful, DCE. How did your neighbor react? Or are you keeping it a secret from them?
  Tue. 12/27/11 3:20pm cats:

good judgment is not high on our list of traits
  Tue. 12/27/11 3:21pm kat330:

Eeesh. I've known pets to travel that far and far more. Hope it isn't mostly expressways to cross. Maybe your neighbor has a microchip inserted.
Tue. 12/27/11 3:22pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

my neighbor "keeps" lots of cats by feeding them but not housing them...so...
  Tue. 12/27/11 3:22pm kat330:

Not good judgment on the neighbor's part to leave the cat outside to begin with.
  Tue. 12/27/11 3:23pm Marmalade Kitty:

  Tue. 12/27/11 3:24pm Robert:

Does anyone else hear "Clocks" in this Twerps track?
  Tue. 12/27/11 4:47pm Mike East:

@chris - I did before the vocals kicked in. Then I determined that they had a unique enough take on the chord progression to make it their own.
