  Fri. 12/2/11 9:26am earwax:

nice start!
  Fri. 12/2/11 9:31am jiveass:

yeah Tony- that's how you play "Footprints"...
  Fri. 12/2/11 9:39am Scott:

Aw yeah, Tony Williams drives that bus.
  Fri. 12/2/11 9:43am Cecile:

Good morning!
Scott, I think in celebration of the "trio" being in place on Friday, you should do another raga day....
  Fri. 12/2/11 9:44am Scott:

:) maybe every friday is ragaday!
  Fri. 12/2/11 9:49am Cecile:

wow! Three powerhouses and what a great Ornette composition...
Fri. 12/2/11 9:55am pgw in mntclr:

post-Fela "Lonely Woman" cooldown
  Fri. 12/2/11 10:01am Cecile:

Fela the musical?
Fri. 12/2/11 10:06am pgw in mntclr:

no, a Fela song on Doug's show on the other stream.
(I disobeyed the cardinal rule of "Ghostbusters" and crossed streams!)
  Fri. 12/2/11 10:07am Cecile:

oh, that's cool.
If I could, I'd check in myself.
Heck, even Doug checks in here sometimes.
  Fri. 12/2/11 10:07am Doug Schulkind:

No, Fela the dude. Good morning all Long Rallyers!
  Fri. 12/2/11 10:08am Doug Schulkind:

(Nice timing on that, Cecile. We should take it on the road.)
  Fri. 12/2/11 10:08am Cecile:

morning, Doug!
  Fri. 12/2/11 10:10am Cecile:

If I'm listening, I have to ask Hermes if he read old Stereo Reviews. They cataloged the salsa scene surprisingly well for a mainstream audio mag.
  Fri. 12/2/11 10:10am Cecile:

Barrence!!!!
  Fri. 12/2/11 10:11am Cecile:

Barrence is one of the most pure interpretation of old crazy jump blues today. It's true to the roots but sounds fresh.
  Fri. 12/2/11 10:11am Cecile:

And the creator of Jimbo!
  Fri. 12/2/11 10:32am seang:

gonna check out Barrence in Cambridge MA tonight
  Fri. 12/2/11 10:33am Cecile:

nice, seang!
  Fri. 12/2/11 10:36am Cecile:

someone quoted from "Bolero" in there.
  Fri. 12/2/11 10:46am BSI:

help cecil, help!
  Fri. 12/2/11 10:51am Scott:

What's Cecil quoting Cecile? Something... old.
  Fri. 12/2/11 10:55am radiobelly:

  Fri. 12/2/11 10:56am Scott:

Well put radiobelly.
  Fri. 12/2/11 10:59am 801live:

Sing this!
  Fri. 12/2/11 11:04am Daniel:

Hey Cecil!
  Fri. 12/2/11 11:32am Cecile:

What is it, Beany?
  Fri. 12/2/11 11:33am dave:

"The Koka Koka Sex Battalion" is a fkn awesome album title.. also, this set has been one great segue after another.
  Fri. 12/2/11 11:37am dave:

woot!! mos def!
  Fri. 12/2/11 11:40am jonathan:

this is the best mos def song ever!!
  Fri. 12/2/11 11:42am Scott:

jonathan, I agree! And it's the first thing he did, unfortunately.
  Fri. 12/2/11 11:42am Z:

Hip hop! Never enough hip hop!
  Fri. 12/2/11 11:48am john:

actually first things he did were with De La Soul and The Bush Babies.. also did some stuff with Medina Green before the Rawkus days i think
  Fri. 12/2/11 11:51am exaudio:

I'm glad somebody finally said it. Edie Brickell and her so called "New Bohemians" were unlistenable. Mos Def's version was indeed a big improvement.
  Fri. 12/2/11 11:53am JT:

i was thinking the same thing about Ms Brickell - unlistenable except in the hands of Mr. Def.
  Fri. 12/2/11 11:54am john:

Mos Def and his little bro DCQ and little sister Ces circa '93: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PIiqpcdDZy8&feature=related
  Fri. 12/2/11 11:55am BSI:

these sounds are chafing my shadowy places. Love it. Do please continue.
  Fri. 12/2/11 11:56am Cecile:

sabir mateen is awesome. That Patterson Free Public Library has some really cool people playing there.
  Fri. 12/2/11 11:58am radiobelly:

love that old edie brickell, so garage band nervous, thus sweet.
  Fri. 12/2/11 11:59am bruce:

i like that kind of thing you just played
  Fri. 12/2/11 12:00pm Scott:
