  Sun. 11/6/11 7:42pm margaret:

My favorite time of the week is Sunday nights, listening to you and Gaylord (seriously)
  Sun. 11/6/11 7:43pm trssh:

Sunset. I'm either outside, running errands or just wandering around - and feeling drunk by the light. Or I'm sliding in for a nap like some kinda mammal that I am.
  Sun. 11/6/11 7:47pm gabrielle & dean:

lovin your show. finally got to listen. 17e..... see you and butter soon.
Sun. 11/6/11 7:51pm Wendy del Formaggio:

I love Ilaiyaraaja! He makes Mohammed Raafi sound dull in comparison. Haha!
Much love to Monica and Butter from the Wendy-Glenn household. xoxo
  Sun. 11/6/11 7:52pm david:

I think Sundays are my actual favorite. The negative space to fill with goodness.
  Sun. 11/6/11 7:53pm monica:

yo, gabrielle & dean! awesome to have you in the house! ... trssh - sundowner syndrome!... aw, margaret & david , yer a peach... wendy! indeed he does... dale, that is an odd choice...
  Sun. 11/6/11 7:55pm wiki:

Mohd Rafi was a playback singer primarily in Hindi and Urdu. Ilaiyaraaja was primarily a Tamil film composer.
  Sun. 11/6/11 7:55pm gabrielle & dean:

lovin your show. finally got to listen. 17e..... see you and butter soon.
  Sun. 11/6/11 7:57pm monica:

G&D - yes!...oh, wiki, you know every little thang...
  Sun. 11/6/11 8:02pm Doug S.:

And one must refer to him as "Maestro" Ilaiyaraaja, or his legion of fans will complain bitterly.
  Sun. 11/6/11 8:02pm trssh:

+ or oh, the long summer stretch of sunset
Different altogether and still great.
  Sun. 11/6/11 8:08pm Ted Leonard:

something something something San Antone.
  Sun. 11/6/11 8:13pm sugarwolf:

I got snowed out of the record fair, sob.

I got to spend that money on books later in the week tho. And I hung out with someone I would have hung out with on Sunday, so it's ok.
  Sun. 11/6/11 8:13pm Eliza:

What was the name of the bumper song?
  Sun. 11/6/11 8:15pm Parq:

Record Fair! I'm not a voracious buyer anymore at the fair; I mostly go for the show. Blown away by the Black Hollies, charmed by People Like Us; Magical Misery Tour, really enjoyed my introduction to Al Jarnow.
  Sun. 11/6/11 8:15pm Parq:

But I did get a few things, mostly at the FMU tables, including an old mainstream classic I've been thinking about getting for a long time, a new major-label release from a group with the same name as the building I live in, and a great R&B classic that was in the $3 pile because of a destroyed jewel box, which I easily replaced once home.
Sun. 11/6/11 8:21pm Don (trip dub):

Friday nite got a full-length LP of the Chakachas on polydor for $20. Bought the single (Jungle Fever) some years back for $45. Couldn't scavange tix for the sold-out norton show though. Saw 'Fine Wine' at the end of his show getting his tux ready to spin at a wedding. Is this the infamous Beach Boys 'Smile' unfinished? Thanks for playin'.
  Sun. 11/6/11 8:22pm sugarwolf:

Parq, I bought the AL Jarnow DVD last year. I saw all those short films on TV when I was little. It made me soo happy to watch them again.
  Sun. 11/6/11 8:25pm Irwin:

Beautiful. Thank you, dear Mo.
  Sun. 11/6/11 8:27pm monica:

thanks for the heads up, doug s.!...trssh, mmmmm..... ted leonard, youy dirty dog, you!... eliza, it was "san antonio rose" by floyd cramer (like ted said)... sugarwolf - sorry i missed ya, lady...parq - i saw you werkin' it!... Do, sounds like you made out swelll... mon plaisir, Irwin.
Sun. 11/6/11 8:28pm Chris in Philly:

  Sun. 11/6/11 8:46pm Parq:

Sugar, I expect I saw a few of Al J's films when my own daughter was little, but I was seeing everything pretty much for the first time last weekend. I confess I had a little attention-span trouble during the featurette-length Celestial Navegations, but was entranced by the biographical feature.
  Sun. 11/6/11 8:47pm Marmalade Kitty:

loving this set Monica..yeah!
  Sun. 11/6/11 8:49pm JS:

Dig the Fats Waller. Good for Nothin' but Love, indeed! (My favorite record fair find is a sound effects record titled Auscultations of the Heart.) Thanks for another great show . . . Sunday evenings just wouldn't be the same without ya!
  Sun. 11/6/11 8:49pm Parq:

What M'Kitty said. Was just about to post how glorious this set is.
  Sun. 11/6/11 8:50pm cb1:
