Marshall McLuhan tells me that with electric media, truth becomes publicly shared. So why should DJ's playlists be privately decided? I'm outsourcing my songs to the entire radio band this week. Blown out rap and r&b via crappy radio reception sounds great to me.

Is this the first time that the left of the dial is copying the center of the dial rather than vice versa?

Pop culture. Love these Hi NRG radio stations.

Wrote a script that compresses songs into mp3s over and over until they sound like total crap. Easy Lover! Hall & Oates! Oh yes. Mashups from DJ Convict Scorpion. Pitch shifted vox from Clare Hubbard's project Sports. John Benter reissue. New Yeh/Wooley/Corsano trio.

Andrew:

i love how you make 'crappy' songs sound good & how some songs seem to go together really well, like they were made to.

Marshall was a genius. I gotta read up about him...

Nat:

Thanks!

You can download some McLuhan stuff from Ubu, including that sample I used.

really? hehe, it's funny because macguyver was on earlier today didn't see the start or end so I didn't recognise it. I used to watch it back in the day & thought the song was familiar.
I was reading about a book on the vocoder, it's interesting. i didn't know it was invented in the late 20s!
