  Fri. 9/16/11 9:20am wildneil:

Very very very cool...reminds me of 1986 Syracuse hippy music phase....
  Fri. 9/16/11 9:21am PKNY:

I've heard good things about this DC record on a music nerd site I inhabit, good to actually hear something from it. Thanks!

Fri. 9/16/11 9:40am Dead Corporate Eyes:

crap, now I'm really hungry!
  Fri. 9/16/11 9:41am Scott:

Not to be obvious or anything but also: double entendre. It is the blues.
Fri. 9/16/11 9:42am Dead Corporate Eyes:

I thought the double entendre was more of a sex thing
  Fri. 9/16/11 9:43am dc pat:

I'm having a vegetable sandwich with tapenade and shriracha on multi-grain bread
  Fri. 9/16/11 9:44am Cecile:

I had some string cheese and a depth charge. Fighting a cold, so no appetite.
Fri. 9/16/11 9:44am Dead Corporate Eyes:

little early for hot sauce, doncha think?
  Fri. 9/16/11 9:44am Cecile:

never too early!
  Fri. 9/16/11 9:45am dc pat:

don't think there's a double entendre involved..

DCE: no.
  Fri. 9/16/11 9:46am dc pat:

some would argue it's too early for sandwich too...wine in the morning, breakfast at night...
Fri. 9/16/11 9:46am Dead Corporate Eyes:

yeah, I put hot sauce on omelletes on the rare occasions that I eat omelletes. but sriracha...that's strictly after noon for me
  Fri. 9/16/11 9:46am dc pat:

this Liberez piece is fantastic!!
Fri. 9/16/11 9:47am Dead Corporate Eyes:

sure is--just kind of creeps in the background
  Fri. 9/16/11 9:49am Cecile:

I have a love/hate affair with breakfast food, but I can eat a sandwich anytime.
  Fri. 9/16/11 9:49am threelobed:

Fri. 9/16/11 9:59am Dead Corporate Eyes:

Fri. 9/16/11 9:59am Dead Corporate Eyes:

  Fri. 9/16/11 10:02am trolly mctrollster:

  Fri. 9/16/11 10:09am jamesie:

hey, can you play something by Sandwich next? (just kidding, one of my groups...)
  Fri. 9/16/11 10:13am T-Zero:

Morning, Scott. Jelly Roll Morton seems to be following me wherever I go today. lol Woke up early, early this morning with a local college station tuned to country and playing Jelly Roll Morton. (This is *not* a bad thing, by the way.)
  Fri. 9/16/11 10:15am Cecile:

wow the mastering on this is amazing.
  Fri. 9/16/11 10:24am pierre:

this is so nice.
thanks
  Fri. 9/16/11 10:24am postmanpaul:

Hey fred! Everything is in hand for the 1st of October, thanks : )
  Fri. 9/16/11 10:25am Cecile:

you know, the more I learn about the history of jazz and blues, the more I understand why many musicians resented rock. I see what John Coltrane was doing in '61, and then I see the pop music of the time.

Not that I don't love both to death, but now I get it.

What's on Oct 1, PMP?
  Fri. 9/16/11 10:26am trouble:

gorgeous show scott! hope i see you next saturday at roland p young performance at the paterson public library. bring the kids! good morning jamesie, hellos to your family from all of us.
  Fri. 9/16/11 10:26am T-Zero:

Did I miss an explanation on a mic break as to the reason for this Jelly Roll set? A tribute to his birth on 20 Sept? (Not complaining, mind you. Just wondering.)
  Fri. 9/16/11 10:27am Cecile:

hola, trouble! I bought a Roland P. Young CD after his appearance on your show, love it.
  Fri. 9/16/11 10:28am Cecile:

T-Zero, Hans Chew is a pianist in the style of Jelly Roll.
  Fri. 9/16/11 10:28am threelobed:

t-zero - i'm presuming it's a lead in to today's live hans chew set.
  Fri. 9/16/11 10:30am T-Zero:

Ahhhhhh. Well, slap me silly. Thanks. I didn't know who Hans Chew was. Now, I'm *really* looking forward.

I loved this era and style of music since before I could walk.
  Fri. 9/16/11 10:32am Cecile:

mr ree, mr ra!
  Fri. 9/16/11 10:38am jamesie:

  Fri. 9/16/11 10:51am T-Zero:

Ok, when I said I loved this style of music, this wasn't exactly what I was thinking of lol

All this time, I've thought you were on the east coast, Cecile.
  Fri. 9/16/11 10:54am Cecile:

  Fri. 9/16/11 11:10am Cecile:

"Americana" is not my favorite music, but I like this very much.
  Fri. 9/16/11 11:12am threelobed:

hans is such a soulful performer. it's hard to not get pulled in when he's going at it.
  Fri. 9/16/11 11:13am Cecile:

I really feel it. No "playing" here.
  Fri. 9/16/11 11:26am Swami:
