Thanks for stringing these together. I've been puzzling over the proliferation of zombie acts of late, & dinnae know who's who.
  9:31am
Parq:

Hi, all. I'm unfamiliar with Noveller, too, and always glad to have FMU hip me to new sounds. Annie, glad you're finding a moment of piece. For those who don't know, Annie has been the Radio Free Europe of the flood-ravaged Catskills.
  9:33am
still b/p:

I don't know why, but I was thinking about Biggie Smalls layin' some rhymes down with that Enyaneering.
  9:33am
annie:

hehe.. well, let's just say i disseminated from the pulitzer-worthy "watershed post".. they get the credit for amazing collection of coverage.. i shared alot.. hehe, and only drove one of my fb friends nuts. the rest were happy to have had the info..
  9:41am
pierre:

i'd like to see Zombie Zombie, Zombi and Zomby play together, that would create something like "Zombie Zombie Zombi Zomby"
  9:48am
A&R:

The 4Z Network.
  9:54am
abby in france:

the watershed post!! that was all i could find, to follow the storm, while it was going on. it's amazing how fast communication broke down, with all the wires down and all the roads closed. just a disaster all around. thanks so much annie.
  10:00am
annie:

abby, it was an amazing thing.... people all over the world.. our local rag was pitiful in its coverage. did you follow the live blog; what an incredible experience it was. and lissa and julia get tons of credit for pulling that together. the crazy thing: just two days prior to that debacle i called julia to tell her their news site was invaluable .. there is chatter of getting up a petition to have them nominated for the pulitzer, for real.
  10:01am
annie:

(and i wonder how our frequent-poster is: nora in gilboa)
  10:04am
A&R:

The Grateful Sped!

Outstanding Jerry!
  10:05am
das:

This is almost enjoyable!
  10:05am
Stevel:

A&R with the win. I love this.
  10:05am
Liz B.:

I couldn't get this dang song outta my head as I was listening to the new Beirut track... it's practically the same song.
  10:05am
PKNY:

@A&R - FTW!

This is a vast improvement in "Touch of Grey", in that at 45 RPM, the songs is over that much quicker.
  10:06am
Tom:

Calm down, just a joke!
  10:06am
annie:

PKNY- was just thinking the same thing...
  10:07am
Jeebus:

Making studying just a bit more pleasant.
  10:08am
Richard from Venezuela:

Good morning Liz and all the listeners,
  10:18am
abby in france:

(me too i was thinking it was much better when played fast.) annie, it really was amazing, then you went down state or over to jersey and you realized why they were only focused on their own problems, it was so widespread. i hope they DO get a pulitzer!! one of the creepiest things i saw was: people standing at the bottoms of their lawns, trying to will the trees to stay up by using mind-vibes. it was awful. i have mixed feelings about trees now...how is it now? i came back to france as soon as the planes were up and running again....
  10:24am
Trees:

It was the storm, not us! We're victims too.
  10:27am
barney:

ovens! my kid is excited for the new 7", but my wrist is already sore from trying to do volume drops for every "shit".
  10:27am
annie:

not to mention all the states affected by the rains were flooded to some extent.. the doppler showed massive moisture all over the right half of the country, in some form or another. the climate here is much more relaxed.. the acceptance is settling in and the vast amount of work to be done is continuing. if you are organizing any offer of help the thing any of the crews mostly need is work gloves.. and i would not hesitate to suggest it will be a welcome gift in ANY of the areas where work is continuing...
  10:30am
Lorax:

We hear ya, Trees.
  10:31am
Parq:

Lorax, liking Loris? LOL.
  10:37am
Lorax:

Sure, we don't discriminate. The more the merrier, and the better for climbing!
  10:41am
hamburger:

this boinga boinga track is catchy
  10:43am
hamburger:

or konga konga more like..
  10:47am
Dead Corporate Eyes:

play as much Dead as you like!
  10:57am
seang:

this rocks
  10:59am
Carmichael:

Hi Liz, hi everyone.
  11:00am
Edley from PTV:

Hooray, I turn on the radio and it's Liz! Nice seeing you on Saturday :)
  11:00am
annie:

morning carm!!
  11:01am
Carmichael:

Hi Annie. How's the restaurant biz these days?
  11:02am
Liz B.:

Hi Edley! Great seeing you, too, and hope you got some caffeine in your veins.
  11:06am
annie:

not too shabby carm.. we had some drive-by guests last night; they were slowing down to see if we were open and i waved. they came in to get a couple drinks and the chef ended up making them a great pasta dish.. he got a sweet 15-dollar tip and the bar didn't end up too shabby either. love these spontaneous things.
  11:06am
pierre:

yeah Noveller !
Go Jason !
Thanks Liz !
  11:08am
Carmichael:

Hospitality's a good thing, Annie. Pays off in spades. And good vibes.
  11:09am
annie:

i heartily agree!!
  11:13am
Dead Corporate Eyes:

Lovely! I must support this artist!
  11:14am
no fun fan:

  11:14am
dc pat:

where/what's the restaurant annie?
  11:17am
annie:

well, i work at the hamden inn in upstate new york.. kinda the behind-the-scenes-guy. and for some reason still have a high profile, which is cool i guess.. we were hanging out after a meeting and playing go and having a beer.
  11:22am
Jennique:

  11:22am
BSI:

  11:36am
BSI:

Comet!
  11:36am
dc pat:

Comet is great, and cozy place to see groups play.
  11:41am
dc pat:

speaking of DC spots, went to the Passenger (named after Iggy's tune) yesterday. Great bar with nice/cool staff. The bartender made me a manhattan with absinthe in it, she didn't have a name for it but I called it "crazy glasses"
  11:41am
Cobra Dan:

Ask her about her rad 3-d cat t-shirt.
  11:42am
BSI:

DCP: funny. That place is right by my bus stop for after work, & have yet to get in there..... been open for a couple of years, keep meaning to...
  11:48am
jaycjay:

dcp, depending on what else and how much absinthe, that's either a Sherman or a McKinley's Delight.
  11:50am
12539:

@dc pat - that drink may also be a Waldorf.

That Noveller was magnificent.
  11:50am
jaycjay:

Though because absinthe was unavailable for years, people started making all of those without it... should be there, though!
  11:51am
Mike East:

I've been liking all the Dustin Wong stuff I've been hearing. He's a young kid, right? Noveller was great what I heard of the set...I gotta catch it on archives...damn client's keep needing my attention. Great show, Liz!
  11:52am
Carmichael:

Yes, excellent show Liz. Thank you for Noveller!
  11:53am
Dead Corporate Eyes:

screw the clients, WFMU needs our atttention! Mike, Dustin is in that Ponytail band from Baltimore.
  11:53am
Liz B.:

Thanks everyone, and glad you guys drowned in all of Noveller's pretty noise with me!
  11:54am
Carmichael:

Oh yeah, with the freaky lead singer chick I hear about on Andy & Frangry's show. It's all coming back.
  11:56am
Mike East:

ah, cool. I look them up.
