A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Loretta Lynn carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

@Trouble - the Pacific was really, really cold but foggy and breathy and beautiful. I also went to Yosemite, where record snowfalls have made the waterfalls gushing and lovely and dangerous. Sad to back in the concrete jungle.

  Tue. 8/2/11 11:24am Jennique:

Wow. I'd love to have that commentator follow me around and be my personal art spokesman.
Tue. 8/2/11 11:25am Brian in UK:

We listen to so much music that we do not understand the lyrics of even pop music in Ingerlish.

This link may be of some help
  Tue. 8/2/11 11:26am trouble:

yes i saw it on the last day. waited in line with such a cross section of wacky upper east siders. it was gorgeous, small but so fab. must get up early tomorrow and head to met to see the alexander mcqueen before it closes. will probably have to wait in line, ugh
  Tue. 8/2/11 11:30am frenchee:

the mcqueen show is open till midnight this weekend! I don't think I can handle the lines.
  Tue. 8/2/11 11:31am Jennique:

Trouble, I went to see the Ponderosa Stomp:She's Got the Power at Lincoln Center last weekend and stayed to see the outdoor performance art piece Eiko & Koma:Water. I am not a performance art person but was really taken with what they did. Really worth seeing.
  Tue. 8/2/11 11:32am Peter G.:

"Bummer" the stream here at 7000 feet in the Michoacan mountains keeps cutting out, very annoying, will listen to archive later.
Thanks Maja for the positive comments!

Boris K's "Just So"! We have this on tape. Jack Nicholson did a great deadpan reading of "Rhino" and "Camel" for a 90s book-and-tape series.
  Tue. 8/2/11 11:54am David:

after years of listening, I finally have to write in and say, what a great show! the abstract art lesson was lovely, and I confess I grew up listening to Karloff/Kipling on vinyl. But I bury the lead: the music! always a revelation. Thank you trouble.
  Tue. 8/2/11 11:54am don trust:

Loved the show. But I'm curious, is there any way you could choose a couple of colors for your playlist that would be slightly more difficult to read?
