So Screaming Females is one of my best fav bands right now so I'm going to start traveling into Manhattan town. Keep up the good radio.

Also Ted Leo.
  5:35pm brianne:

there was nothing like a dead show...or that blotter. lol..... explaining a live dead album...well you can't. the best you can do is smoke some humboldt nuggets, drop in a show from 77 and relax.... might i recommend 6-10-73. oh boy. this deadhead loves me some fmu. <3 weird forever.
  5:35pm ScottC:

one word - "Jerry". Love them or hate them- Jerry was a genius of improvisation. I'm an old punk from San Francisco but I do like The Dead.
  5:36pm brianne:

ps- check out some howard wales /jerry garcia work. defintiely not the grateful dead- but jerry in his essence. soul funk jazz sickness. side trips volume 1. :)
  5:41pm ScottC:

It's funny but if you listen to the early Dead (66) and they are really more British Invasion sounding. The Jug Band thing came later followed closely by S P A C E...
  5:41pm Chip Fontaine:

the above is playing too! thanks terre baby! xo
  5:42pm brianne:

mother mccree's uptown jug champions. :) oh yeah. space.whee!
