Listener comments!

  Thu. 6/9/11 12:04pm Cecile:

Barrence! That band... if they had been together 25 years later or earlier, they would have stormed the world. Such a great record.
  Thu. 6/9/11 12:06pm Handsome Harry:

Yeah! Just found this soundtrack the other day.
  Thu. 6/9/11 12:08pm Carmichael:

Rekkids, Joe, REKKIDS!
  Thu. 6/9/11 12:11pm Joe R:

Happy to see that there's no forced vacation for you this year, Joe. We need Belock all Summer long!
  Thu. 6/9/11 12:14pm Bad Ronald:

Ripping it up Joe. It's gonna be a great summer I can smell it in the air!
  Thu. 6/9/11 12:21pm KevinfromBayRidge:

JOE.... You're Hired!!!
  Thu. 6/9/11 12:23pm Joe B:

Hi everyone! thanks for listeing/commenting, appreciate it!
  Thu. 6/9/11 12:27pm David Shortell:

I remember when Ian McLagen was a guest on this program in 2006. He can be seen for free 7:00 tonight at the Toms River library.

It beats paying $20 to see him Saturday at the Bordentown Record Collector (or even more for the Sunday show at Whippany's Ukrainian American Cultural Center).
Thu. 6/9/11 12:29pm Nanker de Tucson:

Great set, JoeB!
  Thu. 6/9/11 12:29pm andymorphic:

streamed your archives all last weekend....great grilling vibes
  Thu. 6/9/11 12:36pm ?:

David S, does McLagen live in NJ these days?
  Thu. 6/9/11 12:40pm David Shortell:

No, it's a solo tour. Come July, it's back to England to do some "Faces" shows, apparently.

  Thu. 6/9/11 12:41pm Cecile:

garage - informed by punk - those harmonies are straight from Wire. Great stuff.
  Thu. 6/9/11 12:43pm Cecile:

and fellas? Get an annual checkup whether you need it or not!!!
  Thu. 6/9/11 1:02pm Cecile:

Joe, I read online that the cause of death for Mark Smith may have been poor A/C and ventilation in a room that interfered with medication he was taking..
  Thu. 6/9/11 1:08pm Joe B:

Thanks Cecile. I know he was battling Huntington's disease, don't know if that was a factor.
  Thu. 6/9/11 1:15pm Cecile:

wow, I looked that up, that's a tough diagnosis. Some breathing problems are associated with it.
  Thu. 6/9/11 1:16pm ?:

That was a great live set from the Forty Fives! RIP Trey.
  Thu. 6/9/11 1:17pm Marmalade Kitty:

Awesome music this afternoon/tonight here!! Some great memories!!
  Thu. 6/9/11 1:18pm still b/p:

Anybody playing along with this on the Google homepage Les Paul thingamastrummy?
  Thu. 6/9/11 1:23pm G:

Woody Guthrie died of Huntington's in his early or mid 50s. Prognosis is maybe 20 years' survival post-diagnosis. It's progressive.
  Thu. 6/9/11 1:25pm Stu R.:

Great tribute(s) Joe!

A couple corrections for the inaccuplaylist:
"Incident at Owl Creek Bridge" came out on Get Hip and "In the Morning" is actually titled "3 in the Morning". There is a typo on the actual release!
  Thu. 6/9/11 1:26pm Cecile:

That's right, G.
  Thu. 6/9/11 1:37pm Joe B:

still have the Dale Watson or NRBQ tickets for Friday ...
  Thu. 6/9/11 1:53pm John L.:

The main problem with your show: I keep ordering stuff you play to sell in my store. How about playing Los Straightjackets or Dave Alvin. I'm going to see them on Sunday.
  Thu. 6/9/11 1:54pm Marmalade Kitty:

Mr T has a new tv show in the UK entitled, The worlds craziest fools.. :)
  Thu. 6/9/11 1:56pm John L.:

Whoops, I'm going to see them on the following Sunday.
  Thu. 6/9/11 1:59pm Alicia Renee:

Cheers for the tributes Joe--& show in general.
a fine soundtrack for this simmeringly sticky afternoon
  Thu. 6/9/11 2:03pm Handsome Harry:

Sweet version of this tune.
  Thu. 6/9/11 2:05pm Battleaxe:

These beats = genius.
  Thu. 6/9/11 2:10pm Joe:

I would totally take those tickets if I didn't have plans already.Grrrrrr
  Thu. 6/9/11 2:11pm Alicia Renee:

  Thu. 6/9/11 2:53pm disgruntledPiratesFan:

  Thu. 6/9/11 2:57pm dc pat:

new Cynics? dang missed it. Must have seen them 20 times in PGH. One of the loudest groups you're likely to see.
