  7:20pm
Betsy:

  7:22pm
cheri:

  7:23pm
dave:

  7:24pm
Betsy:

Hi Dave, I don't I'm sorry to say, are they 70's-era?
  7:28pm
dale:

  7:28pm
rusty beltway:

the mountains outside my window are taller than my house. rusty is rural.

but we have sidewalks and plumbing.
  7:32pm
dave:

Bluegrass Cardinals? Rounder Records was a force back then for the bluegrass sound, early '80s as I recall. I loved hearing the solemn DJ pronounce the artists on the AM station in Rocky Mount VA. Listeners mainly the about-to-be fired workers at textile plants there...sad.
  7:33pm
rusty beltway:

Not going to Wind Gap. But I won $35bucks a few years ago on a fire compnay calendar lottery from Wind Gap.
  7:39pm
dale:

i got people from bucktooth run on my maw maw's side
  7:39pm
rusty beltway:

I wish I had that $35bucks now.
  7:41pm
Betsy:

Some bass on this one!
  7:41pm
dale:

$35 and some S&H green stamps will get you a nice set of luggage or maybe a chinette set
  7:42pm
dave:

Wait a minute, electric guitars are not Bluegrass. Sorry.
Funny how folks in NYC (and hilarious in Canada) view this genre. Your show needs a little Peter Rowan, Ma'am.
  7:43pm
rusty beltway:

I got a catcher's mitt and a globe from S&H Greenstamps.
  7:44pm
moose:

GOOD STUFF!
i'm used to my bluegrasses on sunday mornings, on wkcr
thinking about s&h green stamps i can taste the glue and feel those spit-hard pages
moose is full of rose wine, commenting too much!
  7:44pm
cheri:

well betsy,,i'll see you soon,,,have a great night!!!!
  7:45pm
glenn:

dear ms. nichols : please be advised that your c.d. premium, betsy's big big 10-4, freakin' rawks!! if country music can be said to rawk, but i'm sure you know what i mean.
  7:46pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

Betsy, GO CAMPING! Townsend is near Brattleboro -- about 1/2 an hour. Go to the Townsend Dam Diner while you're there. It's a lovely place and you're sure to have a swell time. There's a good cheesemaker in Townsend, too. Peaked Mountain. Tell Bob I sent ya.
  7:46pm
dale:

i never got anything. my mother had a huge stash of stamps stuck in the book but i think the company went bust before she used them. the jewel t man used to come all the time though. she bought an electrolux from a travelling vaccuum cleaner salesman.the milk man came on tuesday and put milk in the box on the porch. life is different now.
  7:47pm
rusty beltway:

Remember the A&P ? They'd hook you up wit da stamps.
I camped in VT. Bread n Puppet. Whoa! Different stamps.
  7:48pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

Camping in Townsend -- or anywhere, for that matter -- is much different from camping at Bread & Puppet. Well, maybe camping at a Phish show is the same... haha.
  7:48pm
seang:

beerrun!
  7:49pm
dale:

if your'e sure to have a swell time, well dang - do it! we had a super duper. i think the great atlantic and pacific tea company was a bit of a hike.
  7:49pm
rusty beltway:

my catcher's mitt was in the milk box. so the bottles were left on the porch for the cats to lick on cold mornings.
  7:50pm
glenn:

ummm. why was your catcher's mitt in the milk box?
  7:50pm
Handsome Harry:

Dang. I don't usually get to listen to this program because I'm on a train. Really enjoying the show this evening.
  7:50pm
dale:

nice camping outside cooperstown. farmers museum and ommegang brewery. what more does one need?

i got a cheap catchers mitt once that fell apart. it was full of shredded taiwanese newspaper
  7:51pm
glenn:

and, when was the last milk box installed in a house? another neat old tradition gone.
  7:52pm

  7:53pm
rusty beltway:

ain't nothin' like campin in the Appalachian Mountians in May or June. Ask Stoney Cooper.
  7:54pm
dave:

Camp next month at Cavendish PEI. See Corb Lund and the Hurtin' Albertans. Drink beer. Feel better when you get home. That's my plan.
  7:54pm
dale:

i'm gonna put in a request for lonzo and oscar whenever miss betsy damn well pleases.
  7:54pm

  7:55pm
rusty beltway:

@ dale

  7:55pm
glenn:

corb lund is AWESOME. but for my money, the best band in canada right now is the deep dark woods.
  7:58pm
dvd:

Hey Betsy, listening in from Toulouse France, sounding good!
  7:59pm
dave:

@glenn - I'll take your word and check them.. The spirit and soul of that Nicolette Larson song got her respect out the wazoo back then!
  8:00pm
dale:

Kelloggs best to you!
  8:00pm
Betsy:

Hey everyone, thanks so much for listening & see you next week!! Bon soir, DVD, and merci! :)
