You see a blanket on the ground. It's your favorite color, smooth and soft. You can sit on it, or lie on it. It's a flying blanket, and you are the pilot. You are in control. You can fly anywhere you wish, just by thinking about it. You are the pilot.

Loved the Dengue Fever track. Going to see them in NYC this summer.
  Mon. 4/25/11 10:46pm Dan B:

@Parq, that's a nice one, eh? The new record is a little *too* well produced for me, tho. Its only drawback, and not a major one.
  Mon. 4/25/11 10:46pm Kat:

Me, I like this Belong track. But I pretty much like anything on Kranky!
Mon. 4/25/11 10:47pm The Dance of the Letters:

  Mon. 4/25/11 11:11pm Dan B:

@Kat, awesome! See you next time Cheri!
  Mon. 4/25/11 11:14pm minnesota jeff:

Dan B, I loved the Dengue Fever. I got turned onto them during last years marathon. It was like every DJ was playing them every set.
  Mon. 4/25/11 11:15pm Parq:

Any comparison I could make to the Jersey shore on a Saturday night in July would be completely superfluous,
  Mon. 4/25/11 11:15pm Chop Scott:

Gregory Whitehead--Excellent!
Great to hear this piece.
  Mon. 4/25/11 11:21pm Dan B:

@Parq, yeah. But I'm waiting for the Randall-voiced remix of the Male Digger Bees -- "Look at those horny fucks! Just look at them all trying to screw that poor female bee! That is *so* gross!" @ChopScott, hi! Yeah, Gregory Whitehead is a real fave -- any idea what he's up to these days? I used to have an amazing tape of his -- something like "Dead Letters Speak" -- with a mix of interviews with a guy trying to memorize the entire Iliad in the original Greek, and someone who's hand had been amputated talking about her experiences, and someone talking about Judy Garland, and postal workers explaining how the Dead Letter Office worked. I wish I still had that!
  Mon. 4/25/11 11:24pm Chop Scott:

Dan B-
Gregory still prolific, and vital--go here: http://www.gregorywhitehead.com/GregoryWhitehead/Why_Gored_Heritage.html
  Mon. 4/25/11 11:29pm Dan B:

Thanks for the info Scott!
  Mon. 4/25/11 11:36pm damien:

that bee stuff...."American Psycho" for Apiarists. Creepshow!
  Mon. 4/25/11 11:37pm erika:

HEY
  Mon. 4/25/11 11:42pm Tom L:

Is it too late to say hello?
  Mon. 4/25/11 11:44pm Dan B:

@Damien, yeah it did have a bit of that American Psycho deadpanness to it. @Tom, say hi to the Adirondacks for me -- I miss them! Sadly ended up away for Easter and left my copy of the Union at home -- will bring next week, it's friggin awesome.
  Mon. 4/25/11 11:57pm 12539:

Good show. I will not attempt to pick a standout track, but Padang Food Tigers would probably be the discovery of the week for me.
