Favoriting March 29, 2011: live set from SLIK FLOWERS
Ever wonder what it would sound like if Ian Curtis came back form the grave, reunited with New Order, but did it real cool and casual? Just getting pretty high, playing at 4 am, jamming on some syths in the back of the club and dancing with ghosts, not really caring if you saw it or not? Well yeah, who wouldn't, so you should probably check out this Silk Flowers live set and look out for their new record out now on PPM.

  6:23am
Marty:

thanks yeah they were a great weird band from the check republic i miss them. they kinda turned into this like electro rock hot hot heat kinda thing that i didnt like as much as the loopy aggressive space jams on that record.
  6:25am
Nathan:

i'll always pick loopy aggressive space jams over hot hot heat inspired electro rock... which is probably why I'm listening to this show.

Omar? He's kind of a genius, eh. He's putting out a compilation of his solo stuff in a few weeks. It's been two years since a new Mars Volta album too, which is like the equivalent of ten years for most bands.
  7:21am
Marty:

yeah i stoped keeping up w/ the volta stuff but his solo work has stay pretty solid, he made a movie last year that i enjoyed too!
  7:26am
