Listener comments!

  Wed. 3/9/11 12:12am Gummo:

A $4500 pledge. That's a hard act to follow.
  Wed. 3/9/11 12:15am PMD:

Ah, but he still has to pay. I'm sure Sue's pledgers will send it in immediately.
  Wed. 3/9/11 12:17am minnesota jeff:

I would assume 90% of all money pledged hasn't been paid yet.
  Wed. 3/9/11 12:18am steve:

yeow Sue!
  Wed. 3/9/11 12:19am Marmalade Kitty:

I was watching the live stream, I couldn't quite make out what was going on. Did they raise a lot of cash during Tom Sharpling show..?
  Wed. 3/9/11 12:20am Danne D:

Sue Perr and Therese :) That's a solid follow-up to Scharpling in my book! Go get 'em Sue - give 'em (Solid Gold) hell!!!
  Wed. 3/9/11 12:20am Gummo:

A butt-load.
  Wed. 3/9/11 12:20am minnesota john:

the genius of sue's theme song is that it commands respect following anything. oh, and then after that is a good show.
Wed. 3/9/11 12:20am Adam from Lynnwood, Washington:

Close to $95,500!
  Wed. 3/9/11 12:21am Gummo:

  Wed. 3/9/11 12:24am Danne D:

Need Ozzy Osbourne to call in with a $96,000 pledge :D

Most of all, we need Sue's fan to call in with pledges. 1-800-989-9368! Do it before she kicks your ass (or more like BECAUSE she kicks your ass) :)
  Wed. 3/9/11 12:25am Marmalade Kitty:

..They raised a butt-load of cash? ..$95.000?

Listening via headphones, and these songs are great!
  Wed. 3/9/11 12:26am Gummo:

Sorry about my language. It isn't a butt-load unless it's at least $100,000
  Wed. 3/9/11 12:26am PMD:

First time listener to this show, BTW.
  Wed. 3/9/11 12:27am Marmalade Kitty:

Wow, well done PEOeoPLE!
  Wed. 3/9/11 12:29am minnesota john:

@gummo, I feel like we all probably see each other all the time and don't like each other's haircuts, although I know I don't know the jeff that made me think it was funny to call myself this.
  Wed. 3/9/11 12:29am PMD:

A postcard for Sue then:

  Wed. 3/9/11 12:41am minnesota john:

Whoa, Greg Norton of Husker Du is a member of the WFMU Twin Cities Facebook Club! And Mark Trehus of Treehouse Records!

Screamin' James Osterberg!
  Wed. 3/9/11 1:15am Listener:

Nearly 100K on Scharpling? If he's gonna make *that* much for the marathon, maybe the show could be renamed to "Goyim in the PM"
  Wed. 3/9/11 1:16am DanO:

This broadcast has 90% less cocentrated cynical bitterness without William Berger. But somehow I like it just as much.
Wed. 3/9/11 1:25am Adam from Lynnwood, Washington:

Right on, Pamela!!!!!!
  Wed. 3/9/11 1:27am minnesota jeff:

Listener: I can't here JM in the AM out here, but I heard some overlap yesterday or today and it sounded like he was saying he pulled in $75,000 for that day. Does he do something similar to that 5 days a week? Also, I just heard a very audible "Fuck Off!" broadcasted.
  Wed. 3/9/11 1:29am FCC:

What's an occasional "Fuck off!" among friends?
  Wed. 3/9/11 1:37am DanO:

Where's Crow???
You guys have to drag him in there during the fund drive for a guest appearance...
  Wed. 3/9/11 1:40am coalhard:

two things are brilliant--wfmu and charlie sheen --the way he is fucking with the media with neat weird videos--pure theater--media taking serious--so funny
  Wed. 3/9/11 1:45am minnesota jeff:

Its real cool that Charlie would prefer this nonsense to having custody of his children, cool guy.
  Wed. 3/9/11 1:48am coalhard:

he will get them back--i hope
  Wed. 3/9/11 1:54am coalhard:

if balloon boy can live with his parents then we must deflate this situation
  Wed. 3/9/11 1:55am Charlie:

FMU playlists have the *real* warlock power.
  Wed. 3/9/11 1:59am DanO:

Wed. 3/9/11 2:09am Adam from Lynnwood, Washington:

VOID!!!
Wed. 3/9/11 2:09am Adam from Lynnwood, Washington:

ALLITERATION!!
Wed. 3/9/11 2:26am Adam from Lynnwood, Washington:

I wish I had $4,500 x2 to give to WFMU for the pleasure of listening to Sue and Therese, on top of what I've already contributed this year. If you haven't yet, pledge your support for clearly steamrollin' radio! 1-800-989-9368 or wfmu.org C'MONNNNNN!! Don't fuhgeddaboutit.
  Wed. 3/9/11 2:30am SueP:

@Adam - You'd make a great co-host. Thanks;)
Wed. 3/9/11 2:33am Adam from Lynnwood, Washington:

Awwww, go on, Sue P! You and Therese are like Dave Chandler from Vitus: solid; lithe.
  Wed. 3/9/11 2:35am tlw:

Sue's show always slays

@Adam, I used to live in Lynnwood!
Interestingly, my first night in Seattle when I moved here, went to see Unwound play at the Breakroom on Cap Hill.
Wed. 3/9/11 2:38am Adam from Lynnwood, Washington:

WOW! Love it, tlw! Saw them once myself. Such a great show! My friend Trish opened that club. She later sold and, as I'm sure you might well know, it became Chop Suey. Jared from Karp and the Melvins was her door guy. :-)
Wed. 3/9/11 2:39am Adam from Lynnwood, Washington:

....and, yes, Sue's show is a monster!
  Wed. 3/9/11 2:40am coelacanth:

'just back in town. so what i miss? ...(just kidding) well you've no "premium" Right? well i pledge to you anyway. you feed my brain. ...And i'm NOT DRUNK! ...(just kidding again!)
Wed. 3/9/11 2:41am Adam from Lynnwood, Washington:

tlw: just recalled, I saw Unwound with Jawbreaker. Crazy?!?!?
Wed. 3/9/11 2:43am Adam from Lynnwood, Washington:

  Wed. 3/9/11 2:43am richard:

  Wed. 3/9/11 2:44am richard:

(and i mean that)
Wed. 3/9/11 2:47am Adam from Lynnwood, Washington:

Coelacanth: drunken pledging is just as admirable as sober pledging. ;-)
  Wed. 3/9/11 2:47am richard:

oh...Thank You!
  Wed. 3/9/11 2:50am Therese:

We will happily take your drunk pledge!
Wed. 3/9/11 2:50am Adam from Lynnwood, Washington:

When the Holograms dumped Jem they got a much better screamer.
Wed. 3/9/11 2:52am Adam from Lynnwood, Washington:

Therese, donnn you know 'errrrrr loco?
Wed. 3/9/11 2:59am Adam from Lynnwood, Washington:

You tell 'em, Therese! WE benefit from Sue's therapy.
Wed. 3/9/11 3:02am Adam from Lynnwood, Washington:

Hahaha! Haven't heard Diro's name in ages! You two are the best!!! And, thanks, Risky!!!
  Wed. 3/9/11 3:02am coelacanth:

Therese. i pledged! (pss...coelacanth isn't my real name!)...AND asked to not be in the running for the prize...
Wed. 3/9/11 3:02am Adam from Lynnwood, Washington:

Meant Doro.
  Wed. 3/9/11 3:03am coelacanth:

(as i won one already)
  Wed. 3/9/11 3:05am coelacanth:

Thank you Sue!
  Wed. 3/9/11 3:06am Therese:

Ah, your secret identity is safe with me, Coelacanth!
  Wed. 3/9/11 4:11am tlw:

Breakroom was a great little venue in its day. Solid booking there. Thrones was opening for Unwound, I believe.

I'd met Joe Preston previously (in Minneapolis) while Thrones was on the road with Shellac and Blond Redhead a few months prior. Hell of a bill, looking back on it now.
  Wed. 3/9/11 12:12pm ronnie:

Best Show!? That guy should retire and sue should just start at 6
  Thu. 3/10/11 8:52am vico:

juhee, o-marantz does the stereo again...
