A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Loretta Lynn carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

  Tue. 2/22/11 9:11am Bad Ronald:

My pleasure, you entered the URL for the whole web page not just the image.
  Tue. 2/22/11 9:12am 12539:

With the you-know-what coming up and this wonderful start of day, it occurs to me that this is radio you can't buy.
  Tue. 2/22/11 9:13am trouble:

bad ronald, i clicked on the image and got a url and then copied that....so how do i actually copy the correcet URL?

  Tue. 2/22/11 9:16am trouble:

good sunny morning all, now that i have accomplished my first IT snafu, on the the next...
  Tue. 2/22/11 9:17am Bad Ronald:

usually you can right-click an image to capture it's URL but flickr likes to make things a little difficult so I had to dig through the source code and look for a URL that ends in either GIF or JPG.
  Tue. 2/22/11 9:19am trouble:

i have a mac, so we don't do right click, i think, right?
  Tue. 2/22/11 9:20am Bad Ronald:

for a one click mac mouse it would be "option" click.
  Tue. 2/22/11 9:23am trouble:

merci merci bad ronald, i look forward to a life of freedom from URL confusion from now on!
  Tue. 2/22/11 9:24am Bad Ronald:

Alas not on their own but look up Raqib Shaw to see what happens to them! Talking of reggae, have you heard the Big Mikey Dread podcast? Lots of great roots, reggae to listen to on there with some knowledgable speak too
  Tue. 2/22/11 10:26am trouble:

wow, those are gorgeous. so are you doing the source material drawings? i will look for the mikey dread podcast, sounds great, thanks.
  Tue. 2/22/11 10:29am still b/p:

This sounded at the start like a remix of H&O's "I Can't Go for That." Instead it's a nice track that answers the question: Who's da DJ, now, who's da DJ?
  Tue. 2/22/11 10:30am Jennique:

Nice theme song for you Trouble. Should have it playing whenever you enter a room.
  Tue. 2/22/11 10:31am tag teams!:

  Tue. 2/22/11 10:47am trouble:

okie dokie miss emilyl!
  Tue. 2/22/11 10:53am nancy:

There seems to be a problem with the stream...
  Tue. 2/22/11 10:56am Jennique:

Trouble - maybe you could just hire a burly bodyguard with a giant boombox on his shoulder and he just plays the song as you both enter said room of choice.
  Tue. 2/22/11 10:57am trouble:

anybody else having a problem with the stream?
  Tue. 2/22/11 10:57am βrian:

The bodyguard should be named "Rubble."
  Tue. 2/22/11 10:58am columbus pat:

enjoying the stream in ohio this a.m. thank you! 32 kbps mp3, by the way.
  Tue. 2/22/11 10:59am trouble:

rubble! now you're talkin. or perhaps rubble.com. i love the dot com character on 30 rock...
  Tue. 2/22/11 10:59am βrian:

Streaming is ok in WI. The gubna hasn't shut down the internet yet.
  Tue. 2/22/11 11:01am ian-ann arbor:

streaming loud and clear in A2. loved the phyllis dillon song!
  Tue. 2/22/11 11:01am Jennique:

Whoa - this sounds like some moog elephant dub cry from the hills of Jamaica. Or backwards Godzilla shriek.
  Tue. 2/22/11 11:02am antonio-madrid:

I can´t stream any MP3...128 or 32k
  Tue. 2/22/11 11:03am columbus pat:

Spoke too soon. 32 kbps is buffering like a mofo now. Still haven't lost it completely.
  Tue. 2/22/11 11:08am tr;sh:

I'm listening to 128k stream..
Tue. 2/22/11 11:08am listener james from westwood:

128K stream through itunes sounds good and is holding up w/o buffering, etc., if that helps.
  Tue. 2/22/11 11:08am Skirkie:

I have the 32K just fine here.
  Tue. 2/22/11 11:08am procedura:

  Tue. 2/22/11 11:08am Patrick:

im streaming and i have no problems!
  Tue. 2/22/11 11:08am Parq:

Beta Flash on a rather Orwelian network via Windows running okay.
  Tue. 2/22/11 11:09am Robert Moskal:

FYI, I've got no problem on the 128KB stream.
  Tue. 2/22/11 11:09am trouble:

thanks we are working on it
  Tue. 2/22/11 11:09am annie:

winamp goin' like gangbusters, here.
Tue. 2/22/11 11:10am listener james from westwood:

@Parq: "Orwellian network" sounds like the time HR dragged me down to their office to tell me to stop streaming FMU. Could've been handled in a phone call or email, but they felt the urge to put on the principal's hat. (Epilogue: Now happily freelancing and streaming as I goddamn well please.)
  Tue. 2/22/11 11:10am erella:

no problem here in toronto
  Tue. 2/22/11 11:13am trouble:

bonjour erella!
  Tue. 2/22/11 11:13am Parq:

James, glad it's worked out for you. Freelancers have my I-wish-I-could-do-that admiration. I have just about the least entrepreneurial job in the world coz I'm too chicken for that stuff.
Tue. 2/22/11 11:16am listener james from westwood:

Sometimes that fear's a good sign that it's somewhere you should go! But it did take me a while to adjust & get the knack of hunting. Still learning, but much happier than I was.
  Tue. 2/22/11 11:17am JT:

FACT: I work much less effectively when I'm not listening to WFMU.
  Tue. 2/22/11 11:24am seang:

Wonderful sounds this morning--the libraries are listening
  Tue. 2/22/11 11:25am trouble:

yeah libraries!
  Tue. 2/22/11 11:26am Adler:

  Tue. 2/22/11 11:26am chris:

  Tue. 2/22/11 11:26am βrian:

Aux barricades ! Thanks for the Chi-Lites.
  Tue. 2/22/11 11:35am trouble:

  Tue. 2/22/11 11:37am maja:

I agree with JT and Love the show
  Tue. 2/22/11 11:39am trouble:

thanks maja! i love your name, very cool.
  Tue. 2/22/11 11:39am popo:

aix=X, i think...sounds cooler
  Tue. 2/22/11 11:42am Free French:

roubaix pronounced: 'roo bay' like 'paix' (peace)
  Tue. 2/22/11 11:44am trouble:

meci free french!
  Tue. 2/22/11 11:47am popo:

yes, my bad, thought it was aix stand alone like the place...isn't it roubaix like rib eye? petit paix is like payee...
  Tue. 2/22/11 11:49am βrian:

Nah, no dipthong in paix. Similar to "eh."
  Tue. 2/22/11 11:51am Free French:

'rou' like a wheel 'roue' or a street 'rue'. aix like in paix = pay with a very very short clipped 'a' and 'y'
  Tue. 2/22/11 11:51am βrian:

"diphthong," I mean
  Tue. 2/22/11 11:53am trouble:

thanks for listening everybody, see you next week when all will be crazy and fun, cheerio
  Tue. 2/22/11 11:54am popo:

there' no such thing as free french
  Tue. 2/22/11 11:55am Free French:

free to those who pay
Tue. 2/22/11 11:58am Snark De Triomphe:

To those who paix?

You want French frees with that?
  Wed. 2/23/11 7:29am thomas:
